  1. Just like the vast majority of Christians, Jews, et. Al. Unfortunately for the past 2500 years the Middle East and the west haven't gotten along too well and if those that come from the Middle East want to come and play in the sandbox that is the west there is unfortunately a price to pay thrust upon by society which may or may not be fair.
  2. They do show leadership. Everyone is in agreement the kid is a nutbar and he very well likely won't set foot outside a jail cell for the rest of his life. now do you see outside of North America on a regular basis leadership against radical Islam from fellow Muslims? Do you see Muslim countries pitching in to take refugees? Do you see the Muslim countries mobilizing their armies to wipe out Isis themselves? im talking that kind of leadership which the USA does consistently on a regular basis in spite of putting a moratorium on refugees from seven countries given on the instability going on in Europe at the moment.
  3. Yeah they do need to be leaders as perception can be reality. If they don't then the few bad apples spoil the bunch comes into play and ruins it for all of them. It's not fair but that tends to be the way things go.
  4. I don't know if there are any campaign promises he hasn't checked off in an executive order, so things are going good and as a result many leftists are flailing in self pity and trump is drinking their tears
  5. And he slayed it! no revisionist history
  6. A clown he may be, but he's a clown who is taking care of business agree with him or not
  7. If putting the country in perpetual debt to buy off special interests is a thousand times better... cash for access being a thousand times better... no major govt funded infrastructure projects as promised being a thousand times better...
  8. I'm happy that fptp is still going. however in the words of Jamie Lannister - only a fool makes threats he's not prepared to carry out.
  9. Ahem: harpers record: gst cut - check stupid child tax - check income trust - fail tfsa - check income splitting - check balance budget after deficit forced by coalition- check mate
  10. His speaking style is such so that ordinary people can understand and relate to him. That and he is showing he is a 180 of obama And got him the whitehouse. Americans want someone with a spine this time around See two blurbs above There's also an army of mouth breathers that trash him no matter what he does. I don't agree with him on trade or meddling in the free market, but he is doing exactly what he says he's going to do. like I say it's fun articulating his positions for the sole purpose that he has the left pulling their hair out and the fact it's poetic justice that it's a character like trump who is replacing obama. Rubio and walker replacing obama wouldn't be the same poetic justice.
  11. I was a walker/Rubio fan, however trump making the left go into a tizzy is quite glorious. At least he's getting things done. Not a fan of his trade stance though.
  12. If you would watch the tv channel they updated their reporting as events unfolded. And you guys complain about context...
  13. The arguement isn't about ability, it's whether it's a good idea or not.
  14. I don't think trying to scrap with Fox News over a tweet they forgot to take down was worth it. I think initially all networks got info there was two suspects and ran with that until things fell into place. if Fox News wants to they could play all kinds of video saying that they are reporting that the one attacker was a deranged white nut job. Or rebel media will do just that. Ti me it sounds like they are taking a page out of the trump playbook in dealing with hostile media.
  15. And people will appreciate the video of the woman in Ontario shredding Trudeau over putting a carbon tax in when she's barely getting by
  16. Maybe trump will sell him a copy of art of the deal...
  17. I think just plain old terrorism will do. One would wonder what prescription medication cocktail this nutbar was on.
  18. Sounds like her time "in the board room" didn't go too well. Should have watched the apprentice...
  19. Good, starve the beast and cut costs.
  20. It's very appropriate, Trudeau is wanting to hike taxes to pay for his excessive spending and it's only a tax grab that won't help anything
  21. Harpers deficits were caused by the coalition gun to his head. He took a deficit vs a much larger one. Not only that Harper put the budget back into balance. Trudeau doesn't even want to do that. with the gst cut, products that we buy are cheaper. People shouldn't be punished for doing fine. You might be fine with having the government put a gun to successful people's heads to punish their success, I'm not. They got out of it and have very high GDP growth https://www.google.ca/amp/business.financialpost.com/investing/global-investor/how-ireland-pulled-off-an-economic-miracle-that-rivals-china-india/amp?client=safari No, Ireland.
  22. More people will look for jobs when the government spigot is turned off. Manual labour employees will hire pretty much anyone. It's pretty bad when a lot of foreigners fleeing poverty are able to find work when a lot of Canadians can't be bothered doing.
  23. But we were able to afford the gst cut. Balanced budgets at the bookend of harpers tenure indicate so. It's not keeping people Alive, it's keeping them poor by taking incentive to work away. Boo boo some people have more money than others. Some people are more articulate, more athletic, etc. Irish economic recovery since 2013. They cut to the bone and lead the world in growth. its detrimental as debt has to be paid. If I'm taxed I would rather pay for roads, cops, tax cuts than interest in debt. No, that belongs to Ireland. Their economy has grown faster than ours. However the party is over as the USA is planning on tax cuts and given their track record at keeping campaign promises, a massive tax cut is coming. sticking your fingers in your ears and yelling joe Canada isn't going to fix our anemic economy.
