  1. Canadian Tire - going cashless?

Only one cashier accepts cash.  The rest are all cashless.

I hate being coerced and manipulated.

Lol, when i see an old lady counting out pennies - or, a very slow cashier for that matter - I go to another line.  But you're not given any choice now with Canadian Tire.

I do hope that skimmer scam with those check-out debit machines found at Walmart  in  USA wouldn't come here.  What are the chances?

The problem with doing away with cash for me?  It gives the system, and whoever is at the helm at the time, too much control.

But that’s not the end game, they want even more control.  CBDC will give them that.  It’s a global strategy that country after country will be bringing in.  Most countries have CBDC waiting in the wings.

That means it’s a global strategy.  And those with critical thinking skills then ask, who is behind a global push to CBDC?

Cash is not going away. There are still uses for cash. But for retail it's quickly going out of style. People, by and large, don't want to carry cash on them. You can be a target of theft and it's a sunk cost that you've already withdrawn a pre-set amount of cash as opposed to using the cash or credit you need for a specific transaction at POS.

A Cash-only line is like having an Express line.
