  1. The unspoken threat.

      Mccallum's pathetic attempt to assuage China seems to indicate Canada is silently squirming to find ways to break the extradition treaty with the USA.

    If Huawei's executive gets extradited, a Canadian will most certainly get executed. 

    I think, that is the unspoken threat -  the sword hanging on Trudeau's head.  With the election just a few months away.....that would surely cause a problem.

      I seriously think McCallum followed the script - verbatim.

      They've miscalculated the negative reaction.

      He's just paving the way for the Liberals to break the extradition treaty, as he's been instructed to do. Trudeau is caving to Chinese pressure exactly as I knew he would. He's weak, always has been and always will be. Some less than intelligent Canadians thought it would be a good idea to have a beta male soy boy run the country and this is the result.

      There's no way for them to "break" the extradition treaty, there are no lawful means for the government to interfere at all at this juncture, it's in the hands of the judiciary, the Queen's bench does not answer to the legislature.
