America Under pResident Biden
-TSS- replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
This is really a pot calling kettle black-game; The same people who are now laughing at Trump-supporters and calling them deluded conspiracy-theorists are themselves people who refuse to let go of their own narrative that Putin organised the 2016 election for Trump even though that has also been proved as bullshit. Nobody or no amount of evidence will ever let them go of that very belief that the Trump-presidency has been illgitimate. -
Trump has no choice but to hand over the keys of the White House (as well as the briefcase containing the nuclear weapons codes) to Biden on January 20th but there has been speculation that he will take on a role as some sort of a shadow president. Namely, it doesn't matter whether there was fraud or not but that matters if there are enough people who genuinely believe there was fraud. They might be willing to follow such a shadow president rather than the actual president. Hopefully that won't happen since it would set a very dangerous precedence undermining the public trust in the very system itself. However, a narrative has been created whereby Biden has won the election. It is sheer fantasy to believe that some lawyers would overturn it.

Joe Biden = Konstantin Chernenko

In WW II most Soviet soldiers were more terrified of their own politruks behind the lines than the enemy soldiers. With a good reason too. Going forward meant a high risk of getting killed. Going backwards meant a certainty of being executed. -
Btw, it surely must be a world record that anybody who has served as head of state is still alive 40 years after having completed his or her term as head of state. I'm talking about Jimmy Carter of course. He improved that record by losing an election but nevertheless a very respectable achievement that he is still around. I was counting how many former presidents were still alive at the time every new president took office. With Carter it was Nixon and Ford. With Reagan it was Nixon, Ford and Carter. With Bush Sr it was Nixon, Ford, Carter and Reagan With Clinton it was Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan and Bush Sr With Bush W it was Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush Sr and Clinton With Obama it was Carter, Bush Sr, Clinton and Bush W With Trump it was Carter, Bush Sr, Clinton, Bush W and Obama Unless something dramatic happens on Jan 20th with Biden there will be five former living presidents; Carter, Clinton, Bush W, Obama and Trump

Russia is bound to be a shithole no matter which regime they have. It is Russia after all. -

Chernenko made the decision that the Eastern bloc countries would boycott the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, which was a tit for tat after the USA and its allies boycotted the Moscow Olympics four years earlier. -
In 1984 Reagan won 49 states. With today's demographics he most probably wouldn't even get elected. The old America is gone forever. I guess that a lot of Americans aged 60 and upwards must be at a loss with what is happening in their country these days compared to how they remember how it used to be.

I wonder that if the thing is that you must wear a mask anywhere indoors where there are other people doesn't that by that logic mean that you even have to wear a mask even at home if you live with somebody? Oh piss off! Luckily though I live alone.

Is it true that the Senate candidates in Georgia are absolutely horrible RINOs to the extent that they could just as well be Democrats and it wouldn't make any difference whatsoever?

Get over it! There's going to be president Kamala very soon after Senilix will be taken to some retirement home. However, these lawsuits are absolute bollocks. Clutching at straws.

America Under pResident Biden

This is getting quite farcical tbh. Even if there ever was to be found out any real election-fraud which really changed the outcome of the election after some point we will just have to accept it like a hand of God goal which was cheated but nevertheless stayed in the history-books. -
I just can't help having noticed how lacklustre the Democrats are in their victory. Hardly any jubilation. None of this "you lost hahaha"-stuff which follows every election. Strange really since Trump has been so immensely hated all these years one would imagine that his defeat would evoke unforeseen joy and celebrations. The evil Trump has been beaten! Let's party! No, none of that is happening at all. As if some people would know that it would be unwise to celebrate too much now ias it could make you look ridiculous afterwards.

I guess you in Canada are in the right place to tell us the rest of the world who are going on about Putin this or Putin that that Putin is like a little boy when it comes to influence over the world affairs when compared to Xi.

You can also see people wearing masks hanging under their chin and when they step onto public transport they put the mask over their face. That is absolute bollocks and likely to be more harmful than useful.

How does it actually work? If Biden becomes senile, I mean even more so than he already is, so that he is clearly uncapable of executing his duties as President could a team of doctors declare him unfit for office if he himself doesn't want to go and Congress doesn't want him removed? I'm actually surprised that they didn't try to remove Trump by declaring him insane.

Liberals to greatly increase immigration in coming years.
-TSS- replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It is no surprise when there is a war despite being numerically outnumbered the Israelis fuck the Arabs in the arse like 10-0. That's why the Arabs haven't tried a war against Israel for some time. That is because the Israeli army is a real war-machine but also because their enemies are the worst possible soldiers imaginable. Similar with immigration into the western countries. It is all about numbers. Arabs will never carry out any armed coup or an overthrow of the regime. They are simply too inefficient to do someting like that. It is all about numbers for them. The more Arab-immigration the more it is towards their rule. eif -
In a year's time we are going to be talking about how a fifth wave is on its way and we better start with restrictions again. But this time there really is going to be a vaccine soon. This hope of a vaccine coming soon gives people strength to stand all the restrictions. If you told them this is what life is going to be like for the unforeseeable future the reaction could be nasty.

It is the RINOs who are the biggest losers in this episode. Trump himself is too old to carry on in 4 years time but he could start a Trumpist movement. The Democrats on the other hand are going to be in power. But why would anybody vote for the RINOs?

There's no point in replacing the monarchy with a republic of a ceremonial president like in Germany, Italy etc. What would be the point of doing that? As for presidency with large powers like in the USA and France I think experience from those countries has showed that is not an ideal system either.

I don't mind wearing a mask for 10-15 minutes while on public transport or at shop but fortunately I don't have to wear one while at work. 8 hours would be too inconvenient.

In many European countries where the covid-situation has got very bad indeed there have been mandatory masks since the spring. Do you think the situation in those countries would be even worse had there not been such a requirement? Having said that, in the Eastern-Asian countries where they have a long tradition of wearing masks they have learned to do it properly. In Europe people don't know how to do it properly and by wearing masks incorrectly they often only make things worse.
-
Exactly my thoughts. Yet I go to public transport wearing a mask because I don't want to be harassed by busybodies even though I haven't heard that of having happened here in Finland. Apparently stuff like that happens all the time in the USA and the UK. Perhaps we Finns just don't act like that. I wonder will Biden becoming president mean that covid will go away or will it mean that there will be even more stringest measures in place to force people to stay at their homes. Time will tell.
-
Masks actually work. Not in the way people who speak for them say they work but in the way that people who hate wearing them start avoiding situations where wearing masks is required. In other words large crowds of people. I wonder will covid all of a sudden disappear completely after Biden takes office. Just like the BLM-riots stopped when it began to be apparent they were harmful for the Democrat poll-ratings.
-
Is it compulsory to wear a mask at public spaces in Canada? Here in Finland it is only heavily recommended but lately it has become a social norm to wear a mask. Me too. It is less of a trouble just to wear a mask than to be confronted by occasional busybodies who demand to know the reason why you aren't wearing a mask. Anyone with an ounce of common sense realises that mask-thing is total bollocks but we seem to be lacking in people with common sense. However, it is quite interesting to see how wearing a mask seems to be behind such a high threshold for many western people. Perhaps it is seen as a symbol of being a sheep or a slave. Eastern-Asians consider us westerners completely filthy for not wearing masks. For them wearing masks is part of their culture. They also don't have to worry about not being deemed racist.

Face Mask Toxicity Test - Fail! & Mist Test
-TSS- replied to zagzig's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Due to some legal things people can't be forced to wear a mask here in Finland but only heavily recommended to do so. I wonder how that is since in many other countries wearing masks is mandatory and refusal to do so carries a very hefty fine. In the UK it is something like hundreds of pounds. I only wear a mask at shops and in public transport because I don't want some busybody coming to me asking me why I'm not wearing a mask. Not because I would think masks are useful at all- But does that make any difference? If the purpose is that people wear masks does it matter do they do so because they do so because they think it is useful or they do so because they want avoid hassle? Be a good sheep. Baahbaah.
