If you lived abroad... say in Yemen. And Yemenese people in your home country on the North American continent were invading and wantonly killing North Americans on a daily basis, would you become a fanatical North American while in Yemen? Would you support your fellow North Americans back home? Or would you side with the Yemenese because you live in their country? The west needs to wean itself off of oil and get the hell out of the middle east. Cut off all trade with them completely if need be, but GET THE HELL OUT! It is not our business how they choose to run their countries (unless we need the oil and therefore have a "stake" in it).

You've forgotten the fiasco over Janet Jackson's nipple. People went crazzzy over the fact that their kid might have seen it for a nanosecond. Yet those same people watch CSI where you get to see the mutilated bodies of pretty women and they describe, in great detail, exactly how and what was done to her. Calls for Bush's impeachment have been taken MUCH less seriously than when folks were calling for Clinton's impeachment. Its okay fine to watch a person get their head chopped off on TeeVee (and show blood spurting everywhere) but GOD FORBID if a tit is shown during prime time. Our culture is backward and stupid. it is derogatory. Client of mine working on his website was going to use "pimp it up" at the RV show he will be attending. I advised against it. Just because a word or phrase is used by young people does not make it acceptable with the rest of society. Haa I pictured seniors driving about in their "pimped out" rv and damn near laughed my head off. My son got his first IPod a few weeks back... so far he has downloaded Eye of the Tiger The James Bond theme Some Led Zepplin Yellow Submarine and a few more I can't remember at this time. but... not one single rap song... so like disco, it is only popular as a fad and will be gone soon. That's one of the things I really miss about living rurally up north -- lying out in the middle of a field under a blanket of zillions of stars. There is so much light pollution here that you can actually count the stars you can see. That reminds me... a few summers ago we were up at my dad's place and my son (city raised) says "what IS that high pitched noise?" Crickets! He had never heard crickets before...!

I have about 40 more years on this lovely planet... hopefully I won't see the implementation of controls such as "verichip" but your generation (including my son) will take to the chip like our parents generation took to TV. You will want it, you will cry for it, you will be controlled by it. I am soooo glad I am not a young person today. Sweet, dear sweet disolutional bc-2004! There is nothing in the vid about "love" "peace" etc... But of course you didn't watch it as your attention span is that of a tse tse fly -- as I knew it was -- the only things that will hold the rightwingers attention is tits or guns. So you probably enjoyed the first 9 min 53 seconds... after those war images that captured your limited rightwing brain for the first ten minutes... the video begins. Why not watch it yourself.. the whole thing... (go put on a pot of coffee, I will wait) and then come back and talk about it, instead of copying and pasting someone else's review. Isn't that typically rightwing though? Relying on someone else's opinion to guide you rather than listening and developing your own thoughts? That was excellent but I cannot see rightwingers having the patience to sit through the whole two hours. So really, they are just "preaching to the choir" as those of us who already believe our gov'ts are capable of covert operations against their own citizen are the only ones who will watch it anyway. Ghost, after watching it my only question is "why?". What is the point of all this? I can understand one wanting riches for their family and their future generations, but how does enslaving an entire earth of people "help" one to get any richer than the richest person on earth already is? What is the point of controlling the world's banking system -- these people already have more money than twenty generations will ever need -- so WHY? I don't mean to be pessimistic, but really... I too have very good friends (my best friend as a kid, the one I defended from the bully) who are native. One of my best clients is a native woman who opened her own very successful spa.
