  1. Careful, your policy towards hermaphrodites might come under scrutiny.
  2. What matters to 7 of 10 voters is turning Stephen Harper out to pasture.
  3. Like 2 other recent polls, the Ontario numbers are hard to believe. Another outlier? Probably. BTW, Nanos holds the all time record for calling an election -(I believe it was the 2004 federal election) - Nanos predicted the exact percentages of all 5 major party results to a hundredth of a point. An amazing performance.
  4. ... if only Harper would start answering questions.
  5. Rachel Notley's 15 minutes turned into 4 years.
  6. Well, I had it half right. Today Conservative supporters attacked media questions directed to Harper over the Duffy/PMO scandal. One of the hecklers later exploded, accusing one reporter of not paying her taxes and telling her she was "a pile of s*it". Later the CPC issued an apology. This deplorable situation could be avoided if Harper would actually answer questions.
  7. Which is why no report or specifics will be available until after the election. Can you imagine the lightning speed Harper would rectify an oil company short changed of it's annual taxpayer subsidy?
  8. Harper's Conservatives short changing our most vulnerable seniors? Why am I not surprised - it has the political ring of truth to it.
  9. According to the latest Leger poll, Liberal supporters second choice of parties is as follows: NDP - 50% CPC - 19% But don't let the facts get in the way of a good rant.
  10. This is about twice the size of the usual poll sample. Here is another interesting fact from the Leger poll: In answer to the question, "would you prefer to see the current government re-elected?", only 23% answered yes - less than the 27% who supported the Tories in the same poll. When a governing party's own supporters favor a change in gov't it's a good bet they are in deep trouble.
  11. Your naivety knows no boundaries. Why would Trudeau commit political suicide by propping up his arch enemy? You are unable to integrate this simple fact into your spinal cord: Tossing Harper from power IS THE ISSUE.
  12. ..... and covering up the payback from Canadians to spare Tories public backlash. Harper appointed the senator at the center of this scandal, Harper appointed the PMO flaks at the centre of the cover-up scandal and Harper promoted one of the PMO miscreants to become his new Chief of Staff. Harper will wear this scandal until Oct. 19th.
  13. Tell us more about this mass psychosis...
  14. Nonsense, it's called strategic voting. Besides, most of us are now tired of Conservative tough times and corruption.
  15. I won't hesitate to admit my vote goes to the party most likely to turn Harper out of office. So far that's the NDP.
  16. For May supporters some good news: poll tracker is currently predicting a doubling of seats for the Greens - from 1 to 2 MPs. A fitting reward for a great first debate effort.
  17. Calandra's performance is so sub-par - refusing to answer questions, endless repetition of Tory talking points - he has become a bit of late afternoon comic relief. Rosie Barton has less and less patience with his inanity.
  18. The latest poll, Leger/Le Devoir, has your party in third place - down 5 points in a month - and the PMO scandal is just ramping up and going nowhere. Corruption tends to do this to those seeking re-election.
  19. Good on JT for calling for May's inclusion in coming debate. Perhaps he was feeling magnanimous after his first debate win.
  20. With the spectre of PMO corruption on a colossal scale unfolding at the Duffy trial, you have the temerity to use the "Liberal Backroom Boys" to slam the overwhelming desire for change. Harper has established a new definition of corruption: harnessing the resources of the PMO and senate to deceive the public on the origins of money paid to a senator, then doubling down to cover it up. Give your head a shake, this unbridled corruption is coming to an end.
  21. I disagree. Trudeau has ruled out a formal coalition with the NDP but not an informal one which would function to defeat a Harper minority. The greatest black eye in political history would be had if Liberals had the MPs to defeat Harper but did nothing. For non-Conservatives the over arching priority in 2015 is to turn Harper out of office.
  22. Talk about cynical .... but hey, poll the clueless and you will find they, like the non-clueless, hate to be lied to. Harper is obviously lying about his kept-in-the-dark knowledge of the Duffy payment. Harper's lies began the day he took office by appointing a defeated Tory candidate to the senate after promising voters he would place a moratorium on such appointments. He broke this promise another 58 times. Who would knowingly re-elect such a blatant liar?
  23. Harper was unusually testy taking questions at his northern stop today. How long can he not answer questions on why others involved in the PMO cover-up were not fired or demoted. This includes his current chief of staff Ray Novak. We all know about angry Tom, is angry Stephen about to explode?
  24. ... and the best news for the NDP in the latest Forum poll? The regional Ontario numbers show a vast improvement: NDP - 33 Cons -31 Libs - 31 If the NDP pick up only a third of seats there Conservatives have no hope of forming gov't.
  25. Here is another factor not mentioned or polled this time around: Conservatives, we all agree, are in tough this time around compared to previous campaigns. This is due to poor economics, scandal and a hundred other factors common to any decade-old gov't. Will this tougher re-election challenge tend to discourage some Conservative supporters from going to the polls on Oct. 19th? Tory supporters are fond of saying the polls always under estimate Conservative support by 3-4%. What is to say during this troubled campaign that that "hidden" support, and more, will register their displeasure with Harper's performance by staying home?
