The liberals virtually destroyed our military, and the only reasons it's being fixed is because of public pressure and national embarrassment. Our Air Force isn't a little sketchy, it's alot sketchy. We have to accept transportation from the American military because we don't have those capabilities. If we wanted to fly our own troops to a theater of operations, we'd probably have to have them take commercial flights, which would take forever to mass a large number of soldiers. We definatly need to move our justice system more along the lines of US justice, we need to punish hardened criminals. Right now Canadian justice is a joke along the lines of this: A pedofile is let out after serving his term and the cops say there is a high chance of him re offending, what the hell, if so than lock him away! You don't see that kind of thing happaning in the US. We really should change.

If you can't believe that the Special Operations soldiers in Afghanistan haven't been able to capture of kill Osama Bin Laden yet, and that it's an easy enough job that should have been completed by now, maybe you should pick up a gun and try it yourself. All that matters is Harper is Prime Minister and a minority, I am a CPC supporter and even I didn't expect a majority from Harper. This Minority will allow him to prove to the country they can trust him and if he plays his cards right which I am sure he will, he will be elected into a majority next election.

Well that was an extremly close election around the begining the Liberals were ahead by 30 and it kept turning aorund between the Liberals and COnservatives. But Harper did it, he is the 22 prime minister of Canada, now Canada can get on with it with a great leader in power and in two years harper can expect a majority rule. Finnaly there is change, and Paul Martin finnaly steps down.

But you miss my point religion IS Marrage, you marry in a church, the priest, pastor or whom ever reads from the bible, than marries you in holy matramony, is marrage not religion? Now I believe in seperation of church and state that is why I think that gays and lesbians should have stuck to cival unions, whats wrong with that? most non religious heterosexual couples chose to have a civil union also know as common law. Why cant gays stay away from religion by sticking to civil unions? I want to get married to a woman one day knowing that marrage still means somthing. This is the problem with religion defining any rights for the rest of us. What other rules do you want to set? Just because you believe it doesn't mean you can impose it on everyone else. I don't accept your religion, and I don't want it making rules for me to follow. Religion has to be seperate from the state, and the state has to value each person equally. I never said you had to except my religion, but the church has no business in interfeing with marrage. You guys say that there is legislation that protects religious rights but where was this piece in are charter that said the government wouldnt interfere with marrage? Where will it be when it changes again to say that churches have to marry homos? The charter can be changed at any times you know as we saw when SSM was passed and included with the not withstanding clause in are charter.
