  1. Read on, a real puzzy......... "Certainly the president is in the far-right area, he’s certainly an authoritarian, admires people who are dictators — he has said that. So he certainly falls into the general definition of fascist, for sure,” / John F. Kelly - White House Chief of Staff - Trump Admin. John F. Kelly is a retired U.S. Marine Corps general and former White House chief of staff, known for his leadership roles in the military and government, particularly during the Trump administration Ya think this guy has seen the elephant???
  2. ................. arguably the World isn't that concerned about American domestic policy - they're likely more concerned about the greater picture. Just wondering if Congress will be informed if an invasion of Iran is initiated................. Israel is opening another front with Yemen - ....... might be difficult for SA to not become involved. yippee-ki-Yay!!
  3. ............... many believe the so-called, 'Thirty Years War' was a time when Catholics discovered that their greatest enemy weren't atheists. ........... supposedly, Napoleon began every military strategy debate by bragging about the size of his hands.
  4. 'Everything that is wrong with this country today, the people who are opposed to Donald Trump are responsible for" / Stephen Miller.
  5. I hope ur justification for war (any war) isn't based on humanitarian grounds - countries do NOT go to war for humanitarian reasons, despite the rhetoric. Political loser. Nations go to war for strategic reasons / goals or fear .................. justifiable reasons or rhetorical lies. (surely u don't believe Trump - if his lips are moving he's lying) Developing ICBM technology is extremely challenging - where a ballistic missile can be equated to a howitzer round an ICBM is guided (satellite, inertial navigation, etc) to the target. Once the platform is designed, tested, the challenge becomes to miniaturize the payload to make it 'fit'. Iran is over ten years away from this type of technology. I mentioned Israel, not realizing u are totally aware of their strategic / tactical reach - I fully support Israel - amazing nation and people. Lions! No, Iran cannot be trusted to possess nukes - the question is, where's the fuel - how dispersed is it? A so-called, 'dirty nuc' is well within Iran's capability now. Contamination in a populated area would be akin to Chernobyl. The JCPOA was victory. Likely something akin to JCPOA will be the result of ongoing negotiation - but likely nowhere near as comprehensive or as inclusive re: Nations.
  6. re: 'proposal' - yeah, fodder for the ignorant domestic audience? No dearth of that flavor. Canada? Nuclear subs? bwahahahah - gasp!
  7. ..........with this decision, common sense prevailed. Hell Just Froze Over! On to Black briar! The use of artificial legs by male Olympic athletes remains a topic of debate. (??)
  8. The Canadian navy sought to acquire conventionally powered submarines following the cancellation of the so-called, Canadian nuclear-powered sub program? In 1988(??) the Canadian government announced the potential acquisition of the Upholder class from the Brits. Procurement costs were to be 750 mil – these were used hulls and it was expected to cost that amount again (at least) to make them serviceable. Under the Justin Trudeau’s government the operational life of each Victoria-class boat was to be extended by one additional "life-cycle" (or by about eight years). This was designed to permit the operation of the fleet into about the early to mid-2030s. (???). OMG! These hulls have seen very little service – basically hangar Queens, Kanada lacks the technical ability to perform corrective / preventative maintenance as evidenced by the Chicoutimi disaster. Likely the reason for Canada to acquire subs post retiring the Oberon class was to keep a seat warm at International conferences. Oh, Kanada!
  9. re: Iran is an irritating but minor player. Likely be a mistake to look at Iran in isolation? Minor players usually have so-called, 'big brothers' that get involved eventually ....... with Iran it's China, Russia, NK. I'm sure ur aware of the squib that launched WWI. What makes u believe that Russia (Putin) desires stability in the World? Stability makes Russia look small, unimportant ............... sanctions? Putin desires the opposite.
  10. Sorry, don't do other folks homework........... 'We live in an age where truth really doesn't matter anymore' / astute.
  11. haha no comparison ....the state has voted Republican in every presidential election since 1980.
  12. ............ arguably ur correct. Trump is a fascist (nationalist?), as such he would be a existential-cultural threat to an independent Quebec .... or Quebec as a territory of the U.S. There is no doubt that Trump sees Quebec-sovereignty as a wedge issue within Kanada. On July 4, 2024, the Canadian Feds reaffirmed its protective policy on foreign direct investment, announcing a new approach to the review of certain investments in Canada's critical minerals. The U.S. government, through its investment in Torngat Metals Strange Lake project in Quebec aims to develop a rare earth mine. This project is significant as it is one of the largest deposits of heavy rare earth elements in the world?
  13. Your posts are the reason I find these on-line platforms, at times, so interesting. I'm not accusing you of being a NAZI but reading ur posts allows for a level of understanding on how the NAZI came to power and usurped a modern western nation thru false promises, discrimination and genocide.
  14. ICBM have global reach - IRBM's are basically regional or slightly more? MIRV is the gold standard. Iran's attack on Diego Garcia was a push-back, demonstrated the range of their ballistic missiles - it missed but that was moot. An ICBM is an incredibly accurate weapon - the strategic variety is designed to kill a city the size of Chicago ...... easily. Israel has developed a sub-launched ICBM - Jericho. The Sampson Option makes for interesting reading - likely one of the reasons the U.S. defends the Jews so strongly - fear? With Israel's 3rd strike capability, Sampson is not just a bluff................. their reach is global.
  15. ........... ur admitting Ghislaine is a friend of Trump? Explains everything, dude.
  16. Arguably Kanada needs to demonstrate more unity, internationally. A legal challenge to Quebec's secularism law, known as Bill 21, will be heard at the Supreme Court of Canada beginning Monday, and legal experts say whatever the eventual ruling, it will have a profound effect on constitutional law in Canada and specifically the notorious 'notwithstanding clause' which shields legislation from court challenges over violation of fundamental rights. So, political hacks can do an end-run around the Constitution with the notwithstanding clause? The U.S. might renege on making Kanada a territory of the U.S. if this gets out - no doubt believing the juice isn't worth the political squeeze.
  17. ............... no doubt this hush money will be giving Ghislaine ideas ............careful beotch, lest you be left hanging.
  18. Slippery move recently by the Canadian government integrating the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) into the Department of National Defense - which included its budget ..... if only the CCG had a larger budget? Basically akin to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. There is a rumor that the Canadian Forces will be completely outfitted with state-of-the-art tanks by 2035 tho.
  19. In 1953, the CIA orchestrated a coup in Iran that overthrew Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh, significantly impacting relations and the political landscape of the region. Trump would have been the biggest fool if he had recommended the Shah's son. ............ The son, lives in the U.S. - aka sock puppet.
  20. FOX news re: news is a misnomer - FOX is pure entertainment. On the other hand FOX is not a misnomer regarding the women. Objective news in CNN of course! lol
  21. I'm sure we've all heard the phrase, 'dead men tell no tales'? Be grateful Mike, and keep ur fk'n mouth shut!
  22. I doubt Iran is simply using IFF transponders to identify 'friendly' shipping - but it could be as simple as that. The IFF interrogator would be encrypted with something akin to what's called, Mode 4. The narrowest point in the Hormuz transit is less than 20 miles wide - not even Rader horizon - viz distance. Military radars today are broadly termed, 'phased array' - software makes them extremely efficient The manner in which they operate is on a 'bearing' transmission line - no rotating antenna? The transmission is 'chirped' to provide max tx power - the transmission is incredibly long and modulated - the detection is 'on' the modulation. Conventional radar might transmit for 1-5 microseconds - a chirped radar will transmit in 100 micro second burst - on a bearing line. Military radars today are very sophisticated - CCS and software? Oh, baby.
  23. At this point I it is clear that op, "Midnight Hammer' was a failure. The precision attacks on Iran's nuclear research facilities, June 22 (Fordow, Nantanz and Isfahan) were wildly exaggerated regarding, 'mission accomplished. It the fuel had been destroyed then there would have been no need for op, 'Epic Fury'. What those attacks did accomplish was to commit the U.S. ............ ultimately to a ground war. Epic Fury was a restricted bombing campaign - begun about 3 weeks ago. The strategy was to bomb Iran into a negotiated settlement - with a focus on the nuke fuel. The campaign was restricted due to the fact that it was discovered that Iran COULD control Hormuz AND Iran could do tit-for-tat with neighboring countries infrastructure. Regime change was attempted, but Iran proved to be amazingly resilient. Likely, an attempt will be made to occupy Kharg. Consider the transit for the attacking force .......... likely in ships - 200 miles from Hormuz - think targets. If Trump does decide on a beach assault both Trump politically and the assault force will be hugely exposed. No question the Marines can do it - at what cost? Ballistic / drone launchers are hundreds of miles inland. Consider this, what is to stop Iran from dropping 'dirty bombs' Contamination for decades? This 'excursion' needs a negotiated settlement. The question is, has Iran now developed a diet as an oil hegemon? Is anyone so foolish as to think the U.S. can declare 'excursion over' and get back to licking their nutz? Iran will decide when it ends, not the U.S. .......... likely China and Russia will began to play a part in any negotiation.
  24. Strategically, Iran is definitely winning the war if u want to call it that. Before this 'excursion' Iran controlled around 4 percent of oil global exports. Post 'excursion' they have wrested control of over 20 percent - simply put Iran has become an oil hegemon It is Iran that controls the oil market. The
