  1. I think ur opinions, Sir, although intriguing, are in the minority.
  2. Considering the state of the Canadian military ............. emphasis on NAVY ......... it is likely wishful thinking that Canada has anything to contribute.
  3. What do you think is causing the rapid increase in U.S. gasoline if it is not due to imported crude.
  4. The road to hell is paved with good intentions? World opinion quickly came to the conclusion that Trump fk'd up royally. OMG - what a maroon. That said, it might be time for the U.S. to receive global support in getting Hormuz opened. Trump needs to sit in the corner and lick his nutz. Silence is golden but duct tape is silver. Should be said that opening the Strait does not mean hostilities will end - likely the contrary. Additionally, the Persian Gulf is far more that simply the Strait of Hormuz.
  5. My mistake. However, refining light crude is generally considered more economical - greater profit than heavy crude.
  6. haha - I think what ur saying is that most of the U.S. light crude is not imported? That said, it is true that about 60% of the crude oil processed in U.S. refineries is domestically produced - frack. The oil industry is a lot larger than simply producing gasoline. I think we're going to have to agree to disagree on the import thing, tho. No telling how high a barrel of oil will get to ........... 150-200??
  7. Most of the U.S. light crude oil is imported Middle East crude is mostly light sweet crude. Light sweet crude, also known as sweet crude, is characterized by low sulfur content, making it easier and cheaper to refine into fuels. Light crude oil is preferred for gasoline refining
  8. The U.S. refineries primarily use imported crude oil (low sulphur) to produce gasoline, diesel and other. Imported crude is due to the specific types of crude oil needed for refining and the infrastructure limitations of domestic refineries - it is more cost efficient. Ergo, the increasing cost of gasoline is due to supply / demand. The cost of gasoline will continue to increase as long as the supply / demand crisis continues. Is $150 / bbl possible Entirely possible.
  9. The U.S. refineries primarily use imported crude oil to produce gasoline, diesel and other. Imported crude is due to the specific types of crude oil needed for refining and the infrastructure limitations of domestic refineries Ergo, the increasing cost of gasoline is due to supply / demand.
  10. ............ likely needed tho. The thing that should be a concern is that the 300 million plus to construct was donated. Quid pro quo looms large.
  11. ................ the U.S. requires sweet crude - Canada crude would work. haha The only one more gifted at gaslighting is Rick Scott.
  12. Who could deny that the southern border was being exploited - bravo for Trump and his initiative ...... That being said, a Nation needs more than a one-trick-pony as a President.
  13. Indeed, but really nothing on the scale of what we're witnessing now. Israel has long term plans for Iran and I doubt very much that it's long on boots on the ground and much more targeted attacks based on accurate intel over years. Israel has removed a potential political obstacle - U.S. domestic politics - they've made the U.S. complicit in their actions. Bomb the fk out of Iran............ but only when necessary - 'watch and shoot. ............. it's the only thing that makes sense.
  14. I applaud Trump and his crowing achievement - the southern border - ya can't take that away from him - well done!
  15. Israel will determine when the U.S. excursion in Iran is complete ........ what Israel did not want was a 2 front war when they were dealing with the more immediate - Lebanon (Hezbollah) The U.S. will retire when the IDF is satisfied with their northern flank and are then free to turn their attention on Iran in a maintenance mode based on their Intel to prevent nuc proliferation. If it gets out that the U.S. was punked by Netanyahu ............. even the insinuation? Disaster for Netanyahu - not so much in Israel, but in the U.S. and by extension political support FOR Israel. Brilliant move by Bibi - I support him ......... a guy that uses every tool at his disposal.
  16. Likely be a mistake in believing Trump enters litigation with the sole objective of winning ...... arguably the message is sent, win or lose. It's more of an intimidation strategy - to the litigation actual ........ but more importantly, the broader audience. Don't fk with me is the message. ................ conform or you'll be sorry.
  17. Although the U.S. has the largest oil reserves on the planet - the flavor of it's crude is high sulphur - unsuitable for U.S. refineries in the production of gasoline. Damn, how ironic, to be the largest oil producer on the planet and yet the product is totally moot in what is important - gasoline and by extension, political leverage. Always make me laugh when I hear Trump proclaim that the U.S. doesn't need oil imports.......... suppose he's correct if he's talking about manufacturing plastics. Does this man know anything or is he just taking advantage of an audience he considers ignorant, gaslight fodder.
  18. It's not begging - it's whining - U.S. Presidents should never whine. NEVER!
  19. ............... try this for substance, stop whining like a little beotch and be more substantive in ur replies.
  20. .......... arguably developing Churchill as a deep water artic port would be more strategic.
  21. A real concern is whether gasoline prices will drop - post Iran war? Although gasoline prices in Canada rise - it can't be denied that the 'war' is a boon to the Nation. The countries most affected by the excursion in the Persian Gulf are located in Asia They're making up the shortfall by targeting other markets (Canada / NA) Supply / demand rules. Gasoline prices rise.
  22. So it's what - 4 year since Russia in an act of aggression invaded Ukraine. Does anyone really believe that Europe could not defend itself against Russia? I agree that in several years it won't be Europe that is irrelevant - it will be the U.S. - more the pity. China is rising while the U.S. remains distracted, divided; led(?) by someone who wants to rule, not Govern. And he is 79 years old - 3 years to go.
  23. The U.S. is a major exporter and importer (gasoline) ANY change in international trade or demand directly affect U.S. business and consumers. The Persian Gulf is important to the U.S. because it is a critical maritime chokepoint for global oil trade and it's derivatives Arguably the U.S. wouldn't be the Nation it is today without the global economy, designed by the U.S., post WWII. It's often asked, 'why is the U.S. seen as the global cop"? It's because stability is the life blood - the U.S. has by far the most to lose in commerce due to global instability and denied access to sea routes - think South China Sea - dash line? In any case whether the U.S. is a net energy exporter is moot - ask yourself why is the price of gas increasing? Simply put, the oil produced by fracking (high sulphur) in the U.S. is not suitable for the domestic refineries. Big oil has invested trillions, over decades, in developing refineries tailored to imported oil that is low sulphur. (ME) Why don't the refineries retool? Because the return of investment would never happen - non renewable energy is the past?
