What do you call them?
John Stone replied to Deluge's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
What is in place now is NOT enduring. No, legislation is needed Else, the Constitution rules ...................when the 'invasion' is deemed, 'over' The Constitution is the touch stone ............. works with SCOTUS? -
Is a placebo effective if the belief is it works? Same with faith.

The point is, comprehensive border legislation is needed. I don't blame those claiming asylum - bogus maybe - but they're not breaking the law - they have Constitutional right - if ur going to blame anyone, blame the political hacks - useless mofrs! -

............. my mistake, thought u were a critic of Trump's actions. Trump's actions were IAW the Constitution ........ I kept it simple but my text described the gist. The intent was to shut immigration and more specifically asylum claims, DOWN! Oh, indeed ............ asylum and refugee claims are still viable ............... ah, GOOD LUCK at the southern border. My text described how it was done .......... there is more (Mil, border control), but I didn't want to get into legalese. -

Ref: Art IV, Section 4 (U.S. Constitution) ‘The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government and shall protect each of them against invasion, and on application of the Legislature, or of the Executive’ On January 20, 2025, the Trump administration invoked Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution to suspend entry of migrants, including asylum seekers until the predicated, ‘invasion’ ended. Further, Migrants were required to provide medical and criminal background information to be considered for entry, and thus effectively restricting asylum claims and unauthorized crossings. I wouldn't have considered you to take the Dem side in criticizing Trump's actions??? -
................. Melania's plea was likely intended to be a distraction. But, that aside ............... anyone remember this .......... this is Melania ........

A carrier battle group (CVBG) is a naval fleet that includes a carrier and essential supporting ships for defense and resupply – several cruisers, destroyers and possibly a fast attack. The so-called skimmers are employed as screens for the capital ship(s). At first blush a carrier would appear to be invulnerable to attack – possibly in a conventional conflict – but this belief is laughable in a major struggle where tac-nukes are employed. Recently a Nimitz class screen was penetrated and theoretically sunk by a conventional sub, HSwMS Gotland. The strategy attacking a carrier is to disable ............... not so much sink. (list, elevators, cat) Laughable to hear Trump talk about the new Navy and his plan to build battleships?? Donny shake ur head, BB went out of vogue post-Pearl. -

In the United States, asylum seekers are granted certain rights and protections under the Constitution, including the right to due process and the opportunity to apply for asylum. On January 20, 2025, the second Trump administration implemented executive actions that relate to the U.S. southern border. The EO's effectively close the southern border to migrants, including those requesting asylum and humanitarian protection. EO's are not enduring .........The Border Act of 2024 was victory and bipartisan .....but Trump rejected it; wanting to use the border as a campaign issue. -

Seeking asylum is a legal right protected under U.S. and international law - u just need to show up - but an individual seeking asylum IS documented. Asinine for sure - but blaming the victim is even more so. Would a statute work? ooooops, tried that. ref: Border Act of 2024 The bill faced strong opposition from most Senate Republicans, including former President Trump, who criticized it as overly permissive on border enforcement. Despite bipartisan negotiation, the bill failed in the Senate by a narrow (49-50 votes, largely due to political considerations ahead of the presidential election ......... to paraphrase, Trump put his finger on the scale - Trump wanted a border crisis the strategy being that it would help him in the gen. -
President Trump’s Truth Social .............. I'm objective ................ this is racist.............. (crickets) WASHINGTON — The White House deleted a meme video posted on President Trump’s Truth Social that depicted former President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, as apes. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt initially defended the post and accused critics of fomenting “fake outrage”

Melania is a gold digger - but i don't condemn her for that, well played. Her CV is filled with lies, innuendo, exaggeration. She did what she had to do to survive - including Playboy (OMG - that is funny) Arguably Jeremy was the swinging dick that introduced her to Trump. Lyin' Eyes City girls just seem to find out early How to open doors with just a smile A rich old man, and she won't have to worry She'll dress up all in lace, go in style Late at night, a big old house gets lonely I guess every form of refuge has its price And it breaks her heart to think her love is only Given to a man with hands as cold as ice

An a/c carrier is great for projecting power - but international bases are even better. (Allies) This is the transcript of a radio conversation of a US naval ship with Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in October, 2025. Radio conversation released by the Chief of Naval Operations. An a/c carrier is great for projecting power - but international bases are even better. Strange doesn't describe it ................ Melania has stirred the pot. As far as her denying a close relationship with Jeremy, OMG - the media will kill her. That accent is a killer in the ears of the majority.

Despite the fact that a larger share of black voters cast ballots for the political Right in 2024, over 85 percent of those eligible voted for Harris? Black vote = Political Left (potayto, potahto) Not that long ago I would have agreed with you ........... "sins of ............." I still do ........ but don't underestimate the degree of vindictiveness in the colored diaspora. They have a lot of baggage to air ............. political hacks will exploit it, u can count on it. Slave labor was what made 'king cotton' so successful as an export - pre Civil War. And of course there was Jim Crow ...........
