Typical lame wrong answer as usual.

Why did Macron go? Why did Starmer go? Why did Carney visit Starmer and Macron? If you knew 1/10th of what you think you know about politics, you'd know that these are the symbolic meetings of heads of state, diplomatic niceties that start or signify the work that will be done by civil servants and trade ministers, etc... And No! - going to Mor0n-Lago is not the same as an invite to the White House. M0ron-Lago is for sycophants, lobbyists and hucksters. Trudeau shouldn't have gone there.

Is N. America fated to become a "Second World"?

WTF??? Yeah, try some better definitions, then write another confusing screed. -
Checked the price of oil lately? And in a few decades there will be much less demand.

News Release June 17, 2016 – Edmonton, Alberta In keeping with this commitment... The Government of Canada will provide an advance payment of approximately 300 million dollars to Alberta through the Disaster Financial Assistance Arrangements (DFAA) program in early July. Despite the fact that: Fort McMurray average household income is $210,265 - twice the Canadian average. And we have the highest average disposable income in Canada at $151,589 Yeah, those poor downtrodden Albertans...Wah, wah,wah..Why does everyone hate us? Wah, wah, wah.

Is that why the much poorer farmers in the Maritimes send hay to Alberta during droughts? Globe and Mail "Aug 18, 2021 — Maritime farmers ship hay to ranchers out west as months of extreme heat and little rain has left crops withering in fields across the west..." What did Alberta do for Nova Scotia after Hurricane Juan which was followed shortly by White Juan? Nothing. https://www.cbc.ca › news ›Feb 8, 2014 — "White Juan damage funding comes 10 years later - On Friday, Nova Scotia MP and Justice Minister Peter MacKay announced the province will receive $3.6 million under the Disaster Financial." Of course that was a Conservative gov't so you couldn't expect too much... You're either a liar or you know nothing, or possibly both.

No. Trump is screwing up so badly, even those "poorly educated" voters will turn against Marco Rubio, his likely successor. -
What makes you think the US would want Alberta? They got all the wheat they need and vast amounts of cheaper, easier to access oil. Go it alone? You really that naive?

Danielle Smith Address to Albertans
Barquentine replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Not to Mor-on-Lago, dumbfugg! -
No. They just hate their constant whining.
-
What a pile of bullshite! When you try to extort someone you have to have something to hold over them. She's got nothing! She's not going to call a referendum. Or maybe she should, then resign when it gets shot down.

You think they're going to come out of the meeting with trade deals in hand? These meetings happen all the time with new leaders. Until Trump presidents would visit Canada first.

Poilievre's Loss in Carleton
Barquentine replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
BBC Dec 12 2019 "Canada's Conservative leader Andrew Scheer is stepping down after facing criticism for failing to oust Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in October's election." BBC Feb 2 2022 "Canada's Conservative MPs have voted to oust Erin O'Toole as party leader after only 18 months in the job. On Wednesday, 73 of the 118 Conservative parliamentarians voted to replace the man who led the party to defeat in last year's election." Wikipedia "Diefenbaker stayed on as party leader, becoming Opposition leader, but his second loss at the polls prompted opponents within the party to force him to a leadership convention in 1967. Diefenbaker stood for re-election as party leader at the last moment, but attracted only minimal support and withdrew." Thought you knew a bit about politics. Every party does this, here, Britain, and elsewhere. -
Awful lot of ifs. I wouldn't put money on any predictions. This is just a meet and greet. "Don't expect any white smoke."

Give us some examples of a Liberal or NDP politician spreading hate and division. Talking about yourself like that won't help. Like Maga does with immigrants. Where did anyone say that? Sure it did. Attack the press, blame every problem on Wokeism... PeePee did a lot of that 'til he realized it wasn't working. (Too late.) Talking about yourself like that won't help.
-
What PM wouldn't? If he does well, in 3 years I hope he will. 5 now. That would work too, but those NDPs would have to get some sweet offers. Otherwise they have more sway with the balance of power they now hold. Nothing will happen for at least 2 years and I think Poilievre will be ousted by then.
-
Of course he did. Poilievre was blowing it for the Cons and needed Harper's help. You think at that point Harper was going to endorse a Liberal, whoever it was, whatever he thought of the two guys in question? That was just Harper doing his partisan duty. If Poilievre was so great, why didn't Harper ever give him a major Cabinet post?
-
Yeah, well the US death rate was twice what ours was. But you think common sense was "fascism". Again, you're free to leave.
-
Alberta - Have your referendum! Put up or shut up about secession!
