I will say, 99.99% of the X videos and photos are airplanes. That doesn't eliminate the possibility of some drones in NJ. It just means that people don't know what they are looking at. I don't think China, Iran or Russia would fly drones in our airspace and leave the lights on for everyone to see. But that's just me. Airplanes and helicopters have a steady red light on the left, a steady green light on the right, a red light on the top and bottom that appears to flash and two white strobe lights (one on either side). Most amature and commercial drones have 2 green and 2 red (one on either side) lights to help the operator orient for line of sight control. Some military drones have lighting systems identical to aircraft and helicopters. Airplanes, helicopters, and drones have transponders that send discrete codes and altitude to the ATC radar system. Military drones do as well, but that can be turned off for combat operations. The thing about stories like this is they tend to get tons and tons of false reports. That's what you will see all over social media. Scattered in those false reports are a precious few real sightings. It's possible this is a mass hysteria event brought about by a single (or several), misguided report.

Are you dumb enough to think our military can't tell the difference between an unmanned drone and a passenger aircraft? Civilian aircraft and drones have transponders that indicate their unique ID and altitude. If you find a drone with no transponder, it's safe to say it isn't a civilian aircraft.

Oh, I'm willing to do something. I'm willing to allow teachers to be armed, provided they attend the proper training and provide proof of proficiency with their weapon. I'm willing to fund armed school resource officers to monitor and protect the children. I'm willing to provide funding and training to school counselors to identify threats before they happen. I'm willing to fund mental health awareness education that will help students to identify and accept when they need help and identify when their friends need help. I'm willing to fund mental health treatment for those students that are a risk. What I'm not willing to do is to take away someone's rights WHEN THEY DID NOTHING WRONG. You know what gets fixed if we ban guns completely? Absolutely nothing. The gun isn't the problem. The people are the problem. The kid that did this is a problem. The people that didn't identify his anguish are the problem. The people, LIKE YOU, that refuse to identify the problem, are the problem. I want to fix that. Like what? Should we tell people that have never and most likely will never violate any laws by using a gun that they can't own a gun because someone else might? Maybe we should ban tvs and cars so they won't get stolen while we are at it. After all, if there are no tvs or cars, then no one can break the law by stealing them.

What we can assume is that the shooter didn't not respect life and most likely had some sort of mental health or mental break episode prior to today.
