Who do you think is governing right now?
gatomontes99 replied to Matthew's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
If he wasn't the richest guy, he'd just be a guy or gal. What does rich have to do with it? You use that term like it is disqualifying. I would posit that rich would be eminently qualifying. He's clearly good with money. He's clearly good at managing large organizations. He's the person on this planet that has the closest personal experience of managing money on that scale. What about being the richest man on the planet disqualifies him from recommending changes to make the government more efficient? -
A Note on Topic Titles – Be Clear & Descriptive!

I will say that for the past week or so, the forum has been a lot more civil. Some will say small forums shouldn't use tools like bans and suspensions because they need the traffic. But I do appreciate more civil discussions. -
Trump chooses dishonour in Europe

Lmao...oh, so if we just demand it, it'll happen eh? Why didn't Joe do that? Well, we know why. A demand will do nothing. Hell, the left has been demanding it from the start. Nope, the only way to make Russia leave is to make Russia leave. F35s, Blackhawk, Tanks, troops, the whole 9 yards. Is that peace? No. What Russia did was awful. The question is, how much are we willing to sacrifice to impose our will? Are you going to go fight them? Are you willing to send your family members ro go fight them? Are you willing to risk WWIII and/or nuclear war? I will never say that negotiating an end is the perfect solution. It might be the best solution we have though. I definitely won't decry a deal that hasn't been made either. -
Trump chooses dishonour in Europe

Isn't it interesting how the party of peace and love is now the party of perpetual war machine and hatred? -
@robosmith didn't even read his own links. The commerce department is part of the executive branch, but so is the USPS. All that changed is that the leadership of the Commerce Department is the leadership of the USPS as well. Also, all those stories are based on a single source...WaPo. Doesn't he tell us WaPo is an unacceptable source?

What world are you living in? https://intellizence.com/insights/layoff-downsizing/major-companies-that-announced-mass-layoffs/ The only layoffs are in the electric car side of things. SWA layoffs are primarily because Boeing couldn't get their shìt together and deliver Max 7s. The Government layoffs are reducing bloat and inflation and will help fuel the understaffed job market that is reeling from boomer retirements. We are perfectly fine. And we don't need your LNG. We are trying to get rid of our excess to Europe. Which would have helped end the Ukraine war, but Biden's handlers decided to cut it off and help Russia.

I don't see what negative things Trump is doing? In a month we got numerous hostages home, border concessions from Mexico and Canada, NATO is taking on more responsibility, Russia is negotiating an end to the war, billions are being cut from our bloated budget, Panama is reigning in Chinese control of the canal, NC hurricane victims are finally getting help, trade policy finally benefits the US and so on. This has been the greatest month in my life.

Biden-Harris Admin Handed Billions To Coalition Partnering With Stacey Abrams’ Org Dedicated To Turning Out Voters So they list Stacey Abrams as the main character in this, but she's just the bag (wo)man. The real player in this is Ari Matusiak. Ari Matusiak is the co-founder of both Power Forward Communities and Rewiring America. Ari is also very influential in the Biden White House. Ari attended two bill signings and had several meetings during Biden's four years as resident in chief. One of the bills signings was for the Green New Deal renamed to the Inflation Reduction Act. Rewiring America was a registered lobbying firm in 2021/2/4. In 2024, Ari's other 501c3, Power Forward Communities, received billions of dollars. 2024 tax returns are not available, yet. However, in 2023 PFC only had $100 to its name. It was a shell company. What do you want to bet that in 2024, the donors that gave millions to Rewiring are suddenly getting paid by PFC to install "clean energy products" and some how Stacey Abrams will have taken a nice salary from it all? Abrams is worth $3.17 million, according to the state disclosures she filed in March, The Associated Press reported Tuesday. When she first ran for the Georgia governorship in 2018, Abrams was dealing with a “hefty bill from the IRS” and was worth only $109,000, the outlet noted. Did we just catch the Biden admin, Stacey Abrams and Ari Matusiak in a money laundering scheme that cost the tax payers billions? Yes. Yes we did.
