Bragg is Guilty of Suborning Perjury
gatomontes99 replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Lol. Do you ever get dizzy? Cohen has already been convicted, of perjury, with regards to the NDA. https://www.yahoo.com/news/judge-says-michael-cohen-may-184303655.html The phone call was about one minute thirty seconds in length and they talked about how to stop a 14 year old from harassing him and that he paid the NDA? You have to be delusional. He was texting the body guard about a 14 year old and he was directed to call the body guard. Then, in 1.5 minutes, he discussed how to take care of that and then the phone was handed to Trump and they talked about the NDA? SERIOUSLY?! Especially if you think Cohen is a minor witness. He was the star witness. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/20/nyregion/michael-cohen-trump-court.html -
Bragg is Guilty of Suborning Perjury

Yeah...ok...so why was he convicted of perjury then? Why did he tell this court a phone call was made to Trump's body guard to tell Trump about the payment when it was actually about some kid that was harassing him? You are making excuses. The reality is that Cohen was the defense's star witness. -
Bragg is Guilty of Suborning Perjury

Lol...so Cohen is innocent because Costello suggested Trump would save him and that led Cohen to lie to Costello because Costello gave him advice? -
Hey, look, you are the one that implied black kids are to stupid to know what a computer is, supported the hate filled pro-Palestinian rallies and posted vitriol about Christians. I just gave you a chance to show some love and you responded with hate towards me. That's fine. Your life is about who you hate, not who you love. Thats a you problem. You can't attack me and make yourself better.

The health care system is failing; give us choice.
gatomontes99 replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Conservative Americans predicted this. The thing about UHC or SPHC is that it always paints with a broad brush. But, when cost is removed from the end user, demand soars and it must be met with benefit cuts, or increased taxes. The best health care is a catastrophic insurance plan with a reasonable deductible. That keeps the patient in the loop, allows doctors to compete on price and service and is affordable. -
Trump Was Incredibly Bad At Presidenting
gatomontes99 replied to robosmith's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I don't know what world you were living in, but Trump got testing expedited, the Vax expedited, and had ventilators made by anyone that could. On top of that, he had a ship stationed in NYC for pandemic health care, and got companies to convert alcohol production to sanitizer. He rightly identified the virus as being man made and was the first country to stop flights from China (while democrats called him racist). Your memory is faulty boss. -
What is suborning perjury? A person is guilty of suborning perjury if he or she attempts to induce a witness to give false testimony under oath in a court or other proceeding, and the witness actually gives false testimony (if the person is an attorney, simply knowing of the witness's plans is enough; see below). Here is what a prosecutor will have to prove when charging a defendant with suborning perjury. Costello is saying: Costello also said Bragg’s office had been “trying to shut me down” during his grand jury testimony last year after he shared with them exculpatory material for the case, including between 200 and 300 emails and text messages with Cohen. But prosecutors “cherry-picked” that exculpatory material for “two to three” pieces of evidence, he added, describing the rest of the files as “hearsay.” “You know, and I know, but the grand jurors don’t know, that business records are an exception to the hearsay rule,” Costello said he explained to them, while adding that even hearsay is admissible in grand jury proceedings. That means Bragg's office knew that Cohen would be lying when they put him on the stand. That is suborning perjury.

The irony here is that "alternative" energy sources are getting money, hand over first, from the government while oil is getting taxed and regulated out the wahoo...and oil is still winning. Some competition. It's like the Knicks playing St Mary's school of disabled girls and the girls got a 120 point head start and still lost.

Cohen fell flat
gatomontes99 replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
How is this case any different than Hillary Clinton paying a lawyer to have the dossier fabricated and delivered to the FBI knowing everything in it was a lie?
