How many drag queen stories were there in 2023? Can you provide exact locations and times. (https://www.rgj.com/story/news/local/2023/05/16/drag-queen-story-hour-washoe-county-libraries-2023/70220212007/)... there ended up only being the one at North Valleys library. Yes, I was there unlike you. Lets start with this... can you dispute this and if so, what is the actual land area and the the source. The Reno, NV metropolitan area, also known as the Reno–Carson City–Gardnerville Ranchos, NV–CA Combined Statistical Area, has a total land area of 9,983 square miles ( 25,857km225 comma 857 k m squared 25,857𝑘𝑚2 ). Explanation The Reno, NV metropolitan area includes Reno, Carson City, and Gardnerville Ranchos. The land area of Reno, Nevada is 108.86 square miles ( 281.96km2281.96 k m squared 281.96𝑘𝑚2 ). The land area of Fernley, Nevada is 121.31 square miles ( 316.3km2316.3 k m squared 316.3𝑘𝑚2 ).

Oh.. so there is no agenda in reading data and seeing population declines.. Good to know. Observing reality according to most people (you included) means that I have something against someone. About drag queens.. here is my view. Here in Reno, NV we have one or two drag queen story hours per year. They are attended by 15 to 20 kids and then the parents so a total audience of 25 to 30. Two sessions so 50 to 60. The Reno - Fernley Combined statistical area has a population of 682,828 as of 2023. So lets do some math... I know math is agenda driven. 2 days out of 365 = ? Hmmm... that is 0.55%. So only .55 percent of the days in a year have drag queen story hours. Second, the audience. 60/682828 = 0.008786. That is a pretty small percentage. Now of course there are protesters. At the last one that my family attended, there was an estimated 20. Still 80/682828 is pretty small. Lastly... geographically. the one building that housed this drag queen story hour is 9000 square feet. So if you were not in the nearby vicinity.. you could effectively avoid it. How big is the Reno-Fernley CSA.. 122.1 square miles or 3,403,952,640 square feet. 9000/3403952640 is 0.000264 of the land area. Lastly, this entire charade lasted 2.5 hours or 150 minutes. So that is 150/525600 or .0028% of the year. the above reality... shows that very few are directly affected. Its simple math which does not demand your approval. As for my kids who have attended two of these, they fell asleep. The drag queens do not touch the kids nor was there any exposed genitalia. The stories read were rather ordinary.. no sexual content of any kind. Oh.. but according to you they are scarred for life. Even though, they never even once mention them. If you need further evidence... I could search the police databases for sexual assaults on those days. Care to guess how many there are and if one of the two drag queens was the assailant? Now compare that to the impacts of population decline or growth. How many of the 682,828 are affected by the growth/decline in the population? A whole lot more than .008% of the population for sure. Decreasing population would affect every single resident to some degree whether to cared or not. Gas taxes, property taxes, employment, taxable sales, personal income are all affected directly by population.

https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/fact/table/WV/PST045224 First, tell me what agenda I have by looking at this data and noticing a decline in population? Lets start with that. I can keep this up for years. Answer this and I will answer you... How about you answer a simple question instead of ad hominem attacks... I know from your posts that you expect this from other posters.

https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/fact/table/WV/PST045224 Now tell me about how I have an agenda... I can and i assume that you can read this. Your responses prove me out. You are far more concerned about my opinion about drag queens than you are declining populations. One affects everybody and one affects relatively few... yet you are focused on the latter. I know why

this topic will be deemed trivial and only for nerds. its because there is no daily news, no outrage, etc. Yet 10 years down the road.. this will impact their daily lives in a direct and unavoidable way regardless of their political preferences. Its much like water rights in the West. Liberal or Conservative.. still need water unless you can prove otherwise.

i know its unrealistic but how about we let them be independent. Second, we let them reap the rewards of their resources. I know.. unrealistic. -

press releases always put on a nice shiny facade on things. Do you have any primary sources to back up this "bowing down to trump". ? -

Do you have something concrete (not an internet article) that corroborates this? -
In the case of West Virginia.. it boils down to jobs. Coal mining is no longer seen as the go to or sure thing. The younger folks do not want to work that hard for what is relatively little. The older crowd perceives an opioid problem and stays away. Add those two up and no wonder that these smaller towns have no health care options. Can't have a hospital if you have no willing staff.. Therefore the senior crowd is not moving in .

Every time I watch FOX news which is only about once a month.. all I see is mud slinging... not exactly grown up. Actually studies have been done that show that folks want style over substance. Big, exaggerated claims coupled with strong opinions get you ratings. Cold, objective, dry get you fired. -

They get their news from social media and blogs. This idea that FOX NEWS is superior because it has better content.. is well biased. It thrives because the targeted demographic has the time and willingness to watch live TV. It boils down to ratings and money. -

Like it or not.... cable news is not where most left-leaning folks get their news or opinions. CNN probably low balled him on salary and that's why he is leaving. I know that you will counter with FOX NEWS being the leader but the older, more conservative population is more likely to sit and watch cable news live.
