At this moment in time it would appear as tho you're the one dealing with denial. For several months now trump has been growing stronger and biden has been growing weaker. There's every reason to believe that if the election was held today trump would be president. Now - Campaigns do matter and trump is not a great campaigner (contrary to common opinion). But then neither is biden. So there is at least a healthy chance trump will get back in the white house in 2024

Sigh. Never mind Look - i get it. A person who'd been mauled by a vicious rabid dog while it's owner eggs the dog on might be understandably leery of ANY other dog they meet. I believe the climate is changing - i believe the climate has largely been changing since day one of the planet and will continue to do so until the sun blows up several billion years from now. While i have no immediate proof to offer, it has the ring of truth to me that with over 8 billion people kicking around burning crap and doing things that we might have some impact. But the fanatical crap is not to my tastes. I do believe that as we have done before we will invent better and cleaner power sources. I believe that when we do we'll switch to them naturally and that this will be a good thing because climate change or not, pollution is not a great thing.

That might depend on teh province i guess - but i think you'd still have some under that age. I'd say 12 is the absolutely minimum - go a grade higher and at least it's more relevant. And as i said - if a parent thinks their kid is more advanced they can have that talk sooner. THere's resources to help them, great books etc. Sure - most things can be reasoned with honest dialogue where both parties are genuinely interested in exploring the issue. Online dialogue tends to lend itself more to 'debate tricks' and dishonest discussion but not always. At the end of the day - nobody sane thinks that people aren't going to need to know about this stuff at SOME point. Adults need to be aware of sexuality and sex and some of the issues around it, while children do not. So we're debating the transition point and how much and how fast the info should be fed to them. I think 12-13 is fine to start talking about puberty and the basics of sex and masturbation and wet dreams and all that stuff and the dangers of pregnancy and disease - and on a general level rather than technical details or technique I think as they get older more specific discussions about sex and reproduction and later in their school careers some frank discussions about gender and the like. You might tweak that a little different.

Honestly i don't think that's entirely accurate. Trolls tend to be much more effective and nuanced - I mean he's not 'stirring anyone up', pretty much everyone is just laughing at him. Some kids in grade 6 are below that age. Grade 7 is about the earliest you should be getting into it with kids as a group. If parents feel their individual kid is ready for the talk earlier then great, have at it.
