Now - full disclosure i feel that while yes, there are probably many other factors substantially contributing. humans play a significant role in what's going on with 'climate change'. In any case - the people pushing this for the most part don't live as if they really believe it. And Canada's contribution is so small it would go unnoticed if we all died and stopped producing. So - IF it's a "real concern" why would the liberal gov't keep missing it's climate goals and why woudln't they be focused on helping produce technology to reduce or eliminate or capture carbon out put that we could sell to countries like china that really ARE a problem? We boated a lot when i was a kid, spent much time on quadra and all the gulf islands. The southern part of bc has a lot of fantastic places for people with big retirement pensions who never want to see snow in any significant amounts again to live.

Specifically alberta's RETIREMENT playground. For many many years bc is the one province in Canada where more people leave alberta and move to than the other way around, and it's largely driven by retirement. Who wants to live out their elder years in 6 feet of snow when you can move to the island and still be growing flowers in decemeber. You know what they say - you know it's spring in vancouver when you can see the flowers blooming. You know it's spring in Calgary when you can see the sidewalk And those people can afford nice homes. So every year our home prices shoot up about 15-20 percent and it has a whopping huge effect on our gdp.
