  1. The winningest loser has lost in court again. Donald Trump sued the New York Times and his niece over reporting over Trump’s tax fraud. The reporting lead Trump’s sister to resign her post as a Federal judge, and The Don sued the Times. The suit was dismissed because it had no merit, and under New York’s SLAPP laws, Trump was fined and ordered to pay the Times’ legal fees to the tune of half a million dollars.
  2. Yet, nobody's prosecuting the other Republican candidates. They didn't prosecute Reagan, Bush or Bush. They did prosecute Nixon, because, like Trump, he was a criminal. Criminals get prosecuted. That's how the justice system works. At least, that's how it's supposed to work. Don't break the law, nothing to fear. Trump broke the law, over and over. There's no defense for the classified documents he stole. Not "whataboutism" or anything else. He was caught red-handed. He's a criminal, he's going to get convicted, and he will spend his life in jail. It will take time, but that's what's going to happen, unless the cheeseburgers kill him first.
  3. Guess what? The guy who saved America was Roosevelt. FDR prepared America for WW II despite the "America First" Republicans, who wanted us to be Nazi allies. They frequently blocked funding for critical war preparations. Roosevelt got weapons developed anyway, then he mobilized America like never before or since. We entered WW II way behind the 8-ball in 1942 and marched through the streets of defeated Berlin by June, 1945 and Tokyo in August, 1945. If the GOP was in charge, they would have been arguing which arm to put their swastikas on. That's precisely what the courts are for, if that candidate violated the 14th Amendment, Section 3.
  4. Spoken like a true traitor to the US, @Deluge
  5. The President has no control over Congress’ discretionary spending. He’s either lying or ignorant if he thinks the President has that level of control. (PS — The more they promise to cut spending, the more they increase spending. Odd, but true. Reagan, Bush and Trump all talked about balanced budget and spending cuts, and those three increased spending and deficit spending by the greatest rates.)
  6. The stock market is at an all-time high. Better than Trump Unemployment is at an all-time low, sub-4% for two years running. Better than Trump. Interest rates grew without harming the economy, which is good because the sub-1% rates under Trump were extremely dangerous and unsustainable.
  7. Hamas’ soldiers are all civilians. They don’t have an official military; they’re all “freedom fighters”. 1,000 Hamas dead = 1,000 Palestinian civilians dead. In all the death count reports, they never tell you how many militants were killed. They only count them as civilians.
  8. Dominion machines were not used to tabulate the vote by mail ballots.
  9. Donald Trump filed a motion to delay his Federal trial in the E Jean Carroll defamation lawsuit, arguing that he wanted to testify but needed to first attend his mother in law’s funeral on January 17. Judge Kaplan denied the request, noting that in Trump scheduled a campaign rally in New Hampshire on January 17: https://event.donaldjtrump.com/events/45th-president-of-the-united-states-donald-j-trump-to-deliver-remarks-in-portsmouth-new-hampshire https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/24360741-donald-trump-funeral-request
  10. What you are saying is not true. The results did not change the next morning. It took days. On Tuesday night, Trump was ahead in those states because only voting machine results had been tabulated. Yeah… that’s right… The Dominion Voting Machines had Trump winning. But Republicans had passed laws providing tabulation of vote by mail ballots until Election Day, and no sooner. They couldn’t even open the envelopes! So workers had to open each envelope and methodically hand feed millions of vote by mail ballots into tabulators. That took several days. Trump had directed his followers to vote only in person, so the in person votes were biased more in his favor. Democrats had instead launched a massive campaign to get out the vote by mail.
  11. The “fiscally conservative” Republicans decided they didn’t like the green enameled background of their official Congressional pins. These identity pins are issued at the beginning of every two-year session of Congress. But since they wanted pins with blue backgrounds, the fiscally conservative Republicans spent $40,000 taxpayer dollars on a fresh new set of lapel pins. Do as I say, not as I do. They’ll shut down the government over excessive spending, except when it’s for their own vanity. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/12/us/politics/house-member-pins.html https://twitter.com/SeanCasten/status/1745092119306416437
  12. The Palestinians can receive the compensation from the twelve Arab nations who haven’t compensated the million Jews they’ve kicked out, how’s that? See the double standard? It’s ok to kick out the Jews! Everybody does it. The Palestinians weren’t kicked out, they left and resided about an hour away. The UN funded refugee camps for them, which they’ve refused to leave for 75 years!! Can you name any people in history who were refugees for 75 years? Can you name a refugee group who devoted 75 years to non-stop war and terrorism? Why can’t they get their shlt together and just live their lives in peace? And, please, don’t tell me how the Jews are wealthy. The oil sheiks have infinitely more money than the world’s Jews. But instead of food and housing, they give the Palestinians bombs. Meanwhile, Israel has invented drip agriculture and become a semiconductor powerhouse. The Jews will never leave Israel because they have nowhere to go. They will not allow the Palestinians and their children/grandchildren/great-grandchildren/great-great-grandchildren back because obviously, this would leave the Jews out-numbered, which would put Hamas or Islamic Jihad back in power, and the Jews would face expulsion yet again. Israel has faced war after war after war because the Palestinians won’t accept the existence of Israel. A lot more than 23,000 Israelis have been killed in these wars. So here’s the plan: Fight the enemy until they surrender.
  13. Nowhere have you listed a law which was broken. Compared to: US Constitution says President cannot receive an emolument from a foreign nation, and Trump received $7.8 million in payments from foreign governments while President.
  14. If Joe Biden performed official acts for Burisma because his son was being paid by them, I believe it’s a crime. But there’s no evidence. Firing prosecutor Slotkin is not evidence because it was very clear that many entities in the U.S. government and outside the U.S. government wanted him fired. However, Donald Trump was prohibited from accepting money from foreign governments while he was President. That’s the law. Not the letter of the law, that IS the law. Trump’s hotel should have refused business with foreign government officials in order to comply with the law. Most Presidents and Vice Presidents put their assets into blind trusts in order to comply.
  15. And FDR knew the Japanese were going to bomb Pearl Harbor and Bush knew all about 9/11… this is silly. Hamas is a lot more evil than you know. The Palestinians were fools to elect them. They finally lost power and then just seized it by force. Hamas started this war, refuses to surrender until all of Israel is destroyed, and you are blaming the victims. THEY ARE PLAYING YOU! Hamas is a brutal terrorist regime. They are not kumbaya hippy love children. They completely oppose and hate everything you believe in.
  16. That is a lie. It takes time to deploy armed troops en masse.
  17. Does the anti-fraud law in New York State require that the victim of the fraud suffer damage?
  18. Nope. Receiving money is receiving money. Of course he provided a good or service. The payment for the good or service is the emolument. An emolument is not a gift.
  19. No relevance. “I worked for the Russian government and they paid me, but it’s ok because I worked really hard…” not an excuse. It’s an emolument. The Constitution says it’s not allowed. It’s hilarious how you right-wingers believe in the word for word literal application of the Constitution, until it’s inconvenient.
  20. Just STOP. STOP. Pay Attention: An Emolument is INCOME, not a GIFT. The $7.8 million Trump received was INCOMD. It was an EMOLUMENT. The U.S. Constitution specifically says NO. Barack Obama wrote books.
  21. Reagan, Bush, Bush and Cheney did not face criminal prosecution. No Republican Senator’s faced prosecution for a long time; I think the last one was Ted Stevens, who was defended by a Hawaii Democrat Senator who’d fought with him in WW II.
  22. You don’t have evidence that the Israelis knew the attack was coming. It was an intelligence failure, for sure. But it’s conspiracy theory to say that the government let 1,400 of their own people get killed.
  23. Not in America. Wages have out-paced inflation. Haven’t you figured out that you’re being fed lies by a fake news media? The damn inflation figures are posted. Anybody can look them up. But you’re subscribed to “Up means Down, Right means Left” thinking. The figures speak for themselves.
  24. Jesus Christ man, look up the meaning of the word! How hard is that? Hunter Biden is exempt from the emoluments clause because he was not an officer of the United States. There’s no equivalency. All you have is, “Hunter Biden worked for Burisma and I’m going to pretend that he performed corrupt acts events though I have no evidence whatsoever.”
  25. Again, Hamas attacked Israel AND declared war on Israel. When in all history has being attacked mean you just have to let another nation slaughter you, because you’re “not allowed” to defend yourself? Your point of view is actually what causes more deaths, because if Israel just executed this war until their enemy surrenders, then the conflict can finally end, instead of dragging along for another 75 years of suicide bombings. That’s what it took to get the Germans and Japanese to surrender, and it worked. The war should continue until. Hamas surrenders. Because that is how wars work.
