Trump didn’t fire his senior government officials for doing bad jobs, he fired them for not being sufficiently loyal to Trump over the laws and Constitution. For instance, he didn’t fire the Director of the FBI for doing a bad job, he fired him for investigating election interference and not dismissing charges against Michael Flynn.

Let me get this straight: When the leaders of Springfield say something you agree with — that these threats come from overseas — then you believe it’s true. But when the leaders of Springfield say something you don’t like — for instance, that pets aren’t being stolen and eaten — then you don’t believe it’s true. At least, not enough to wonder why in the world Trump and Vance keep insisting that it is true.

Not a deflection. You don’t understand how our political system works. Presidential candidates are not nominated by voters, they are selected by delegates at the nominating convention. FDR was selected for his third term at the nominating convention. He refused to even run; he wanted the party to ask him. Besides that, Kamala Harris was the Vice Presidential candidate choice selected in the primary votes, and when Joe Biden stepped aside, she was the logical choice. There was no time for a nationwide primary and you know it. I’m sure you wish the Democrats would just be forced to run no candidate, but too bad, not gonna happen.
