  1. Who said they shouldn't be given due process? The people I'm talking about are illegal aliens as well as the phony asylum claimants. They all need to be booted out.
  2. Do you know of a single case in history, never mind recent history, where that was applied as a law in a court? Do you know any church that preaches that this is the law and should be observed? Now compare that to mainstream Islamic scholars who all support death for apostasy, for blaspheme, for adultery. No church cuts anyone's hand off but it happens in Muslim countries, just like women are stoned or otherwise killed for alleged acts of sexual impiety. Qur'an 22:19 Punish the unbelievers with garments of fire, hooked iron rods, boiling water; melt their skin and bellies. How do you talk about a religion with two billion adherents without generalizing? I think it's generally bloody obvious what the entire Muslim world is like vs the rest. Sure, there are some shitty Christian countries, but there are no good Muslim countries. I don't feel the need to put much thought to a more enlightened guy from a thousand years ago. It's the Islam of today and its worshipers that we have to deal with. A religion that is violently expansionary in all its writings in a way no other religion is. You certainly don't see a lot of Christian ministers or priests pronouncing how everyone else is evil and they and their religions must be destroyed. But there are more mullahs and imams doing it than you can shake a stick at. Tell me why Muslims are gathering in large groups outside Christian churches to pray. Go for it. Until very recently? When was the last time a woman was stoned to death for adultery under Christendom? When was the last person executed for blasphemy? The plain and simple fact is that the more Muslims you have in a country, the more religious violence and intolerance you have. Especially when those Muslims have come from places where intolerence and hatred are part of the culture and preached from every mosque.
  3. This was utterly predictable. In fact, I did predict it a couple of days ago. The amusing part of this is that if it were conservatives trying to block a pride parade, the media would be up in arms and the LGBT people would have responded violently to force their way through. But this was a pro-muslim group and Muslims are higher on the victim hierarchy than gays. So they didn't dare say a word against them. They just humbly bowed their heads and agreed to disperse. It shouldn't be a surprise that almost everyone involved in these pride things are on the Left. They have largely uniform social values and beliefs. Like the Muslims, the Left wants to tear down society in order to build something "better". They both oppose capitalism and hate Jews, America, and Western culture. So they are allies in their hopes of destabilizing and destroying Western countries. The hilarious thing is the Left somehow believes that after that they'll be able to construct a new, more wonderful society, and the Muslims believe there'll be an Islamic state, so the Left - including all the LGBT people - can be stood up against a wall and shot.
  4. Deporting people here illegally is fascist? And anyway, no one has said that Muslim citizens should be deported. But they do need to be integrated. That means no more religious leaders coming from Saudi Arabia. No more money coming from foreign governments to build mosques or Islamic schools. And starting to implement the laws in places like France that ban burkas, niqabs, and even hijabs, and carefully policing what is being said in mosques and Islamic schools. It also means banning money coming in from abroad, especially from foreign governments, to pay Muslim groups (or any groups) to protest or agitate for government policy changes. And by the way, if you're worried about fascism, maybe you should be. Because the far right is rising all across Europe in the face of the intransigence and incompetence of political leaders in blocking migration and cutting immigration. "If liberals insist that only fascists will enforce borders, then voters will hire fascists to do the job liberals refuse to do" - David Frum 2018, The Atlantic
  5. Canada has no conservative media to speak of, and the government is very secretive. But if you're online enough and read the stuff coming from Europe, from the UK and Australia, it's very clear what problems are arising due to the uncontrolled immigration of masses of people from countries with backward cultures that are violent and intolerant. In the UK, in particular, immigrants, especially Muslims, make up a dramatically higher proportion of those in public housing estates, of those not in employment, and of those involved in sexual crimes than regular British people. And let's not even get into the daily bombings and sky-high rape rate in Sweden due to Muslim migrants. All over Europe, they are starting to realize that not only have Muslims not integrated, but they have no interest in doing so. Second-generation Turks in Germany have social values just as hostile to Germany's as their parents. There have been so many Muslim migrants that there are now whole areas of cities which are de facto run and policed by local clan, tribal, and gang leaders just the same way they were back home.
  6. Red Tories mostly vote Liberal anyway. I've never met one yet that didn't long for the past when the Progressive Conservatives were basically the Liberals with every so slightly more fiscally careful budgets. We should remember as we curse Trudeau for all the trouble his immigration overload has caused, that it was a Progressive Conservative government under Mulroney that almost tripled immigration back in the mid-1980s. Not because it would be good for the country or its economy, but because his immigration minister convinced him and his cabinet that newcomers from places without a history or culture of democracy would be so grateful to the PCs they'd be loyal party supporters thereafter. Our immigration system has been strictly for political gain ever since then. And the country has suffered greatly for it.
  7. Straight out - Islam is not compatible with Western democracies. We should not be allowing any Muslims to immigrate here or accept any as refugees.

In some cases yes ,we have evolved and moved away from some practices like slavery...But others still remain today, thou shall not kill, etc...

      thou shall not kill

So prior to the bible there were no prohibitions on killing each other?  And no other culture prohibited killing?   How the hell did all those people make it that long??

You tell us , you seem to have all the answer, provide proof that our morals and values are not based on the bible where did they come from, don't tell me that there is some liberal manifesto going back thousands of years, that lays all of this out...

  8. How about we start screening these people? Conduct interviews with them like other Western countries do, try to get an understanding of their mindset, how flexible and adaptable they are, and whether they support cultural values that are fundamentally at odds with our own. In addition, the way Canada does immigration should change. Right now, Canada Immigration makes decisions on how many immigration visas each of their offices around the world will get in the next year. That is generally based on how many applications they had the previous year. So it's demand-driven. That's how we get a system where huge numbers are coming from one or two places. We should be targeting countries with highly skilled workforces who are westernized, and allow as many from those countries as want to come here. And yes, I mean Europe, the US, Australia and NZ, South Korea and Japan, etc. Only after all the applications from those areas are dealt with should we, if we still have some available, allow applications from less desirable places. We should limit the number of visas available to places where (and they do keep statistics on this) immigrants tend to perform badly here. That would be places where immigrants have a lower employment rate, lower income rate, higher use of social services, higher criminality, etc. That would include North Africa and the Middle East, as well as countries like Pakistan.
  9. What more can be said is to discuss why this medieval religious wack job is in my country. Who let him in? Why was he let in? How many more just like him are pouring in every bloody day because Muslims vote Liberal?
  10. The thread is actually on why the Left hates Nazis for having a certain set of beliefs, but adores Muslims despite them having the same beliefs.
  11. All Western countries have more or less open borders. We all signed that stupid UN Charter on Refugees back in the 1950s, thinking it would mean a couple of hundred Eastern Europeans coming over every year. Now it means millions of muslims with cultural and religious beliefs that want to destroy us, and yet we're still bound by old treaties and laws based on them that so far no government has been willing to change. Including US Republicans. Those laws say anyone who claims asylum has to be given a formal hearing. And given how we've left the laws and legal process in the hands of a profession that gets paid by the hour, it takes years just to get a hearing. Some nations have handled it more poorly than others. Canada, of course, has been pretty much the worst. We let anyone in, and we accept virtually all asylum claims - though after four or five years of pretending to carefully ponder the cases. But the US has always had a big problem that neither Republicans nor Democrats have really wanted to solve. Republicans own farm states, and those farm states want the cheap labor. Democrats like all those minorities coming in because they anticipate they'll get their votes eventually, much like the Liberals and NDP in Canada.
  12. You realize the exact same thing is going to happen here, right? Given the massive government borrowing, the only thing keeping inflation down is our stagnant economy, and the hold on housing price increases due to the temporary cut in immigrants and foreign students. Now that the election is done, though, I expect the Liberals to increase both again.
  13. Are you NINE?
  14. What someone adept in politics can manage where an 'experienced economist' wouldn't. Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre has pulled off something that deserves far more recognition than it gets. At a time when right-wing populism has fractured conservative parties across the Western world, he has consolidated the Canadian Right into a single, mainstream political vehicle. His success in effectively decimating Maxime Bernier’s People’s Party, undermining talk of Alberta separatism, and holding together a broad national coalition is a major accomplishment for the Conservative Party and Canadian democracy itself. https://thehub.ca/2025/08/23/the-weekly-wrap-poilievre-deserves-more-credit-than-hes-getting-for-the-coalition-hes-built/
  15. God, this is such a cliche'd view of life! Why would you think everyone who doesn't like being accused of racism, who doesn't like to be officially discriminated against in hiring and promotion, is a bigshot? Bigshots don't give a damn about your woke garbage! They just adapt and thrive in it! Look at how the big corporations have simply adopted it into a brand they can sell while imposing it on underlings. And who says the big shots are all Republican to begin with? Or that the 'subordinates and underlings' are all minorities? You're just taking the left wing view that all the big shots are evil right wingers and making them white while shifting the poor and oppressed into identity groups. Believe it or not there are shitloads of poor white men and lots of powerful minorities. And while you might find it somehow satisfying to subject white men to official discrimination supported by and often imposed by the state, I assure you growing numbers of them are very angry. Which is why you have Trump. The Democrats had four years to learn from what happened when Trump was first elected and instead of doing so they doubled down on their wokeness. Thus we have Trump again.
  16. I've said all along that the way Trump has treated Canada has little or nothing to do with trade. It's other issues that he wants resolved. It's China's influence here and the influx of foreigners who aren't screened. It's the lack of military preparedness and the ignoring of money laundering by organized crime. The drug smuggling thing was an excuse, sure, since not much finds its way to the US, but it was also a clue. And Sam Cooper might have fleshed that out in a recent story. https://www.thebureau.news/p/inside-the-falkland-superlab-how
  17. The point isn't dropping tariffs. The point is, you shouldn't put them on if you are going to drop them without getting anything from the other side. Also that if we violate CUSMA then so can they.
  18. I suppose you looked at that and thought it showed how hypocritical Republicans are. But it actually shows how hypocritical the woke are. If discomfort leads to growth, why is the Left so frantic to stop anyone being offended by hurty words or 'microaggressions' or 'cultural appropriation'? If discomfort leads to growth, why are there whole armies of the Left now infesting government and corporations, all determined to police whatever words their various preferred identity groups might encounter that offend them? If discomfort leads to growth why is the Left championing the fight against "islamophobia' to stop people arguing with Muslims and mocking their ridiculously violent and hateful religion?
  19. I'm not going to recite you a list of policy proposals. They're all there on the conservative website. On immigration and foreign workers, on law and order, on industry and the economy. By doing what? He's talked about things. What has he actually done other than spend money? Even more money than Trudeau was going to spend in the budget that was so horrific, his finance minister resigned rather than support it. This was the crisis of a generation, and Poilievre said the house would be working all summer to address it. Carney sent the house on vacation without even a budget. He's still going to spend close to a billion dollars buying back hunters rifles and shotguns. He's going to pour billions into a wasted, useless, lost battle against climate change, he's not going to use the power of his office to cut red tape and get projects moving. At least, he certainly hasn't done anything so far. There have been projects waiting for government approval for years still sitting there. You know what happened. Donald Trump happened. The legacy media protected their government funding and went all out on behalf of the Liberals, and Singh folded like a cheap rug as he let the NDP collapse rather than risk the evil Pierre Poilievre getting into power. If we wanted an intellectual as a leader, we'd do IQ tests. The problem is that people with the big brains often can't get anything done without the kind of political savvy you get through years as a politician. I would also invite you to explain how Mr. Big Brain Carney can hold some of the dumbest positions imaginable on climate change, an opinion that says he's willing to pour trillions of dollars down a black hole to accomplish nothing while the third world keeps building coal plants. You mean informed like Singh and Elizabeth May? Didn't hear anything intelligent out of either of them. Do you not realize that he would have been restricted from talking about or doing anything about whatever he read? Not to mention he would only read what the government wanted him to read. Incidentally, I agree he should have gotten the clearance. Not because I think he would have been better informed, but because his not getting one let the Liberals and NDP pretend there was something nefarious about it. Given how eager they and their media allies always are to demonize whoever is the Tory leader, that should have been predicted.
  20. Do you not understand the difference between a law accompanied by a list of punishments and a proverb or story? And do you think this has nothing to do with the people who live in them and how their culture and values have been influenced by Islam? Okay. There are fifty of them. How many treat men and women equally? How many treat Muslims the same as non-Muslims? How many have gay pride parades? That isn't the point. Even the rich Muslim states are socially backward. I am interested in who these 'numerous Muslim countries' are, though, because afaik the only one remotely progressive is tiny Bosnia, which had its Islamist notions thoroughly cleansed by Tito. A Spaniard. Do you not find it odd that such ideas about secularism have never arisen in the Muslim world? Maybe because Muslims don't know anything about Aristotle or philosophy anymore? I also find this a terribly weak reply. We're speaking here of immense groups of hundreds of millions of people, and you show me a single member of that group from a thousand years ago who maybe wasn't as into a theocratic state as many Muslims are today, as if this disproves anything. The Muslim world - and I speak collectively here - is violently misogynistic, racist, intolerant, homophobic, antisemitic and does not believe in democracy or freedom of speech. And these are the people we are importing in huge numbers with no screening, while urging them to keep their own cultures because ours is shit. And who is doing this? The left. And who is marching with the antisemites in the streets? The left. And who is supporting antisemitic behaviour in universities? The left. Why doesn't the left hate the fact that Muslims (collectively) spit on everything they believe in while supporting most of the policies the Nazis do?
  21. Do you find it a poor reflection of our system that a party leader can evict a long-serving MP from his safe riding just so he can run there - even though he doesn't live in that riding?
  22. And Poilievre has given solutions. Not really. We've been heading downhill compared to the Americans since the Liberals came to power. It didn't start with Trump and it won't end if Trump keels over and dies today and takes all his tariffs with him. We're going downhill because that's what happens to a country with high taxes, a huge bureacracy, and an enormous regulatory system that makes doing business highly expensive and time-consuming. Yeah, yeah, yeah. After every election people talk nostalgically about how they would have voted for this or that person if they'd been in charge. But they never do. "We want someone nice, not like Harper!" Here's smiley Scheer! "No, not that one!" Here's friendly O'Toole! "No, not that one!" Here's Poilievre! "We want someone nice!"
  23. Two million bucks is an excellent investment if it will bring in someone who will turf the Liberals and their massive vote buying schemes. We dump billions every year into every racial, ethnic, gender, cultural, environmental, poverty, and social welfare activist group in the country, not to help people, but so those people who get the money can help persuade the people in that voting bloc to vote Liberal. We're going to spend over half a billion buying back rifles, shotguns and air rifles so the Liberals can sooth the fearful brows of urban lefties who know nothing about guns other than they're afraid of them. We spend billions on processing and taking care of hundreds of thousands of fake refugees every year because the Liberals want them and their families, relatives, and expatriate groups to vote for them. Yeah, spending a couple of million for a leader who can hopefully help point out the corruption and incompetence of the Liberals is a very worthy investment. Chump change. Now suppose you tell me why you're thrilled by all the above, but are aghast at spending $2m on a byelection?
  24. Yes, he absolutely does and has. Did you miss all the policy proposals he made during the last election? You want a leader who will lie to them, throw out tens of billions in promises, and promise to be everyone's mommy? We already have one Liberal party. We don't need two. Eventually, people are going to start looking at how much of the budget is going to debt, at how high the deficits are, at the massive waste, the healthcare crisis, the housing crisis, the rising unemployment rate as foreign workers pour into the country and realize this probably isn't a good thing and will never change under the Liberals.
