  1. Putin hates your guts. So does Xi. Xi is building shit at a fantastic pace, from missiles to drones to warships to fighters. And since he's hacking into every one of your computers, and especially those of defense contractors, he's even got most of the plans to build Chinese variants of what you spend tens of billions to develop! He and Russia both want the Arctic. And both of them are preparing for it WAAAYY more than you are. He wants Taiwan, and control over the semiconductor industry. He wants control of Asian waters. Russia wants its empire back. He's already effectively gotten most of the stans under his influence, and Belarus, wants Ukraine and the Baltics, and then will go after Poland. But he can't beat us TODAY is not an effective answer to this, by the way. Your navy is falling apart as it is, with ships officers falling asleep at the helm due to overwork because you don't have enough ships or enough crew. Most of the people who try to join your army are rejected because of drug abuse and obesity. The head of the army's training command called it a crisis several years back and nothing much has been done. You do indeed need allies. And just as importantly, you can't afford to let those allies be taken over/recruited by the other side. America does not like fighting guerrilla wars. But try fighting one with a modern enemy that has a 5,000 mile border with the US. The fighting wouldn't be taking place on our side of it.
  2. Oh, FFS. Do you really think America has been acting as it has around the world for the last fifty years for any OTHER reason but self-interest? Seriously? America's military policy has been to prevent its enemies from gaining too much strength, to reassure its access to cheap raw materials, and to keep free markets free - for Americans to make use of and exploit. There is no charity work involved in this. It didn't keep the Soviets out of Europe because it was kind hearted. It did so because the Soviets were dangerous enough as it was. The US certianly didn't want them adding Europe's population and technology to their power base. Nor did it want to lose European markets for its goods. Similarly, when it protects Taiwan, it's not because it cares about them. It's because it wants to preserve access to Taiwan's semiconductor industry. Then how come Canadians can't move to the US?
  3. You mean crawl a lot? Do you do that in real life? You know that often doesn't work, right?
  4. Feds had nothing to do with the rules and regulations the feds put in place that made private industry bail on ALL oil pipelines. Gotcha. The federal government can override them in a second if they had any balls. But the feds only care about votes, not Canada. Much like the BC government.
  5. Which is what Carney says he will change. I remain skeptical. Let's see the mines and pipelines approved.
  6. If a Muslim imam was saying all the stuff he was saying, not only would you never have cared, but no one would have protested and so no one would have noticed. In fact, Muslim leaders say the same things as this guy every day across the country. And nobody gives a damn. How about Muslim religious leaders who call for the death of Canada, or who call for their fellow Muslims to take over Canada?
  7. The US has military bases all over the world. There's no reason it has to own the actual countries those bases are placed on. Yeah, that's bulilshit. Try taking it and see what happens. You defend it because you don't want a powerful hostile nation like Russia on your border, not out of some altruistic sense of comradeship.
  8. That still leaves us almost completely at their mercy. We need to be able to export almost all our oil if necessary. Even if we build a pipeline but never need it, the mere existence will give us independence from American games and higher prices from them. Same goes for LNG
  9. Are you NINE? Do you really imagine this was clever? And if everyone says that about us, what then?
  10. Oh whine whine. Go cry somewhere else, grandma.
  11. Nope. The US wasn't all that interested in Israel in the early going. It wasn't until the late 50s and the cold war that the US really sought out Israel in a region where the Soviets were making inroads with nationalist Arab governments. There is no genocide in that area, unless it's over the border in Syria, where the Turks are trying to slaughter the Kurds and the Islamists are trying to kill all the Druze. Hospitals are legitimate war targets if they have soldiers, weapons and headquarters positions in or under them. You don't have any idea how many 'children' have been killed, or why. And I've seen no indication the population is starving.
  12. The Trans Mountain has a capacity of 890k barrels per day. That's considerably less than a quarter of Canada's exports. We have no other outlet for the rest but the US.
  13. The feds made it uneconomically for any private entity to try to build a pipeline, and then took it over so they could siphon of billions of dollars in graft for their friends. Build it where? BC says no. Manitoba says no.
  14. BC IS the problem. We need to diversify customers away from the US. The Trans Mountain Pipeline helps us get better prices for it, but the US still pays us below world rates. We should be shipping more of our oil and gas abroad for billions more. For that we need a pipeline through BC. It would be real nifty to have one going to the East coast too, though obviously that's quite a bit further. But we should be supplying our entire country with oil and not importing oil from the Saudis or whomever.
  15. You cannot equate Islam with other religions. Judaism, for example, does not try to recruit people. You really have to put in effort to convince them to let you be a Jew. Islam has been an aggressively expanding religion since Muhamed started murdering people to convince others to join. It has never stopped in all that time except when it was forced to by superior force. I'm sure there are some nice Muslims. But if they follow a vicious, violent religion, then their level of 'nice' can noticeably shrink if they feel their religion demands it. Social media is filled with riots in the UK, in France, in Belgium, in the Netherlands, in Germany, in Spain, in Ireland, all caused by the numbers and violence - especially sexual violence - of incoming Muslims savages. Of people who think a woman who isn't covered head to toe is available for them to do with as they choose, who believe sex with children is fine, and whose religions specifically allows them to rape and enslave female 'unbelievers'. I believe that was one of the big appeals when Muhamed, the caravan bandit, put the religion together. Not really. 95% of the terrorism in the world is coming from Muslims.
  16. Yeah, and the parts of it other than Turkey were turned over to the British and French to do with as they chose. Eventually, after another war, they turned them over to the UN. No, man. They were never independently ruled. And Jordan was not a country of any sort. The borders were carved out of existing Palestine by the British, who created Jordan. Syria was a part of a wider area and a province of the Ottoman Empire. Before that, it was part of Rome, too. Its border were carved out by the French, who created the state of Syria. Lebanon was similarly created by the French out of other territories. Savages are defined by their behaviour and level of advancement. The people in that area in 1946 definitely qualified as savages. A great many of them still do. Again, due to their behaviour and level of social and technical advancement.
  17. Anytime you have Muslims, you're going to have trouble. Their religion specifically calls on them to expand by violence and take over everything until Islam rules all the world. And they've been doing that since 610AD Now that we've brought millions of Muslims into the West, we're starting to experience that here too. It will get worse, the violence will grow, and there will be massive fighting before this is settled.
  18. Why is there a Jewish temple there that's over 2,000 years old? Why does the bible mention 'the Israelites'? Why did the Romans call the place 'Judea"? Only Egypt was a country. The others were provinces of the Ottoman Empire and before that the Roman Empire. Although, actually, Egypt was a possession of the Romans for a thousand years or more.
  19. I didn't say it was very good logic. But yeah, it's yours. You said the Palestinians had a right to be mad since Israel was created by the UN 75 odd years ago. Now it's full of Jews, and the Muslims don't like it. The Ottomans would have said the same. Nothing there but dust, dirt, and bedouin. Unquestionably true. You object for some reason? Do you feel 'savages' is an improper description of the locals?
  20. Phhhhhht. Don't believe every silly thing you hear from anti-Semitic organizations.
  21. Do you think those Palestinian terrorism lovers who constantly gather to pray in the streets and block sidewalks get permits? They get police escorts and protectors so no one harasses them.
  22. My city used to be all white. I guess I have a right to be angry and start killing everyone who isn't. Right? Palestine was a shithole, the ass end of the Ottoman empire no one cared a damn about. The Temple Mount was a long-neglected, run-down mosque of no importance. It wasn't even listed among Muslims as one of the important mosques in that region. Jews came in and made the desert bloom, and all the savages around got resentful and angry.
  23. I thought you were going to give an answer. Jews are not self-isolating anymore, except for the Jewish taliban types in their weird black outfits. And every group judges every other group, just as you're doing now. It's human nature.
