You miss the point. Someone owns the land and they should get paid fair market value for it if it gets expropriated. The liberal government made the greenbelt without compensation the owners. A grant is what??? Money for the land but the owner still owns it and pays taxes for it and is responsible for its condition?? Wake up and smell reality. Getting internet infrastructure to remote communities has been a government project for many years. Government does not try to get Bell Rogers or Telus to get internet. Those companies are the service once the infrastructure is in place. Get informed before you make asinine statements. You are incorrect. The government has been trying to get internet, not even high speed, to northern communities and not having much success. I have a very good friend that works in Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, the lead for Connecting Canada. They try real hard to get infrastructure and equipment to the many many communities. If the community gets it, more often than not it breaks down and the community is without for a very long time. As for so much of the "gifts" given to them.

I think you completely misunderstand what the greenbelt is. The previous liberal government did not even expropriate or buy the land from the owners, they just declared it greenbelt. The owners were basically told they could not sell their own land. This government allowed a small portion to be sold, by the owners to developers. The owners finally got some return on their investment. The government in no way exploited province resources, as the government never owned the land,they just enabled the owners to get a return. I cheer for the landowners that were now able to sell their land. As long as you pay the owners of the land full market value for that land.

There are fakers everywhere that do it to gain financial or other advantages. What about the fake indigenous people at universities to get high paying jobs? What about the woman in Hamilton that faked cancer and got toms of money form Go Fund Me. Whenever there is a possibility of scamming, it will be done. It is not a matter of left or right, it is often an matter of not questioning because of the possibility of embarrassing backlash.
