Writing??? The indigenous do not write, they orally tell their stories so their is posuive way of verifying or validating anything coming u of them. Open our eyes and look where they live. Certainly not with the majority of Canadians that re working, earning a living, paying for their services, paying taxes etc etc etc. Not living on reserves for free, taking everything for free and getting someone else to maintain their infrastructure and making their life bearable for free.. Those are a peoples that have capitulated.

Nope but when they got run over, they were done. They capitulated to what was upon them. No resistance or overtaken without much resistance means you lost your rights. Can they prove anything in court except that they gave up? Lets be realistic, any group in society that has contributed nothing to the society for the past several hundred years, deserves nothing in return.

Do you have any idea why this happens? Smaller stores are closing. So, bigger ones that them over and provide jobs that would have been lost. Seems to me that is good not only for the economy but especially for the workers what would have lost their jobs had those stores closed. I see this benefiting not only the workers but for the communities the stores are in. I don't read minds, i read your posts forever whining about how much others make. So, the price is determined by what it costs to get it into your cart. I started flying around the country in the lat 60's. I make my statements on what I have seen. Doubt what you like but go on any reserve and see for yourself. An example is the band (Sannich Nation) that owns the land that the highway from Schwartz Bay to Victoria is on. Get off the highway and you would think you were in a 3rd world country with dilapidated houses, junk scattered everywhere on the streets and yard and just dump of an area yet, they get it all for free and have businesses along the highway from which they make all sort of money. It has been this bad since I first saw it in 1970. Our culture is certainly not without fault but, all in Canada with exception of indigenous have to work for what they want and pay for what they get and then pay taxes to maintain what the have.

Not at all. The Irish article is meaningless as it is not even close to any situation here. Also, it is Ireland and they get their oil from elsewhere, part of it came form Russia. It is an example of Irish electrical costs. I know of many people that have electric heat and they wish they paid a lot less than those in Ireland. The topic is climate crisis not about cost of Irish electricity. There is no imposition, here or anywhere other than Ireland and their lower income people. Stay with us nationalist...LOL

I do blow my top at this continual ransom aimed at our kindness. These peoples lost the wars and were conquered. Our forefathers gave them status instead of wiping them out. We have been paying for them since then. They are the only peoples on earth that have not bettered themselves in modern society. I have travelled all over this country, top to bottom, east to west and many remote places in between. I have seen their communities and the squalor they choose to live in. They do not help themselves and only complain we do not give them enough. Give them a greenbelt of a million acres and say, go forth and live as your ancestors, no more money, or assistance.
