What do you mean nice try? It is documented by the information released by the U.S. government and former military men who were there. Stop fighting against the facts. The U.S. gave a helping hand to Saddam to use chemical weapons. It's a fact.
-
Actually no. You are wrong again. It has been proven that U.S. did assist Hussein: The U.S. knew Hussein was launching some of the worst chemical attacks in history -- and still gave him a hand. "The Iraqis never told us that they intended to use nerve gas. They didn't have to. We already knew," Air Force Col. Rick Francona, who was a military attaché in Baghdad during the 1988 strikes told Foreign Policy. According to recently declassified CIA documents and interviews with former intelligence officials like Francona, the U.S. had firm evidence of Iraqi chemical attacks beginning in 1983. At the time, Iran was publicly alleging that illegal chemical attacks were carried out on its forces, and was building a case to present to the United Nations.

Holocaust survivors condemn Israel for 'Gaza massacre,'
Hudson Jones replied to marcus's topic in The Rest of the World
So the UK parliament voted overwhelmingly to recognize Palestinian State. Many agree that the attack on Gaza and Israel's arrogance was the driving force behind Sweden's official recognition of Palestine and the UK parliament's vote. The UK vote and the reaction by British Jews is another sign that things have changed considerably since the days where you'd find an overwhelmingly majority of Jews living outside of Israel, showing unconditional support for Israel. Antony Lerman: "The reaction of British Jews to the offensive in Gaza confirms that Zionism no longer serves as a glue holding most of the community together, whilst the right-wing ideology of the pro-Israel leadership is only intensifying divisions. Israel’s bombardment of Gaza left British Zionist organisations dazed and confused. Whilst Zionist leaders appear secure, even strengthened, in their ideological and political commitment to Israel as they battle the country’s critics, they look terribly like a bunch of lost souls digging themselves ever deeper into a hole, out of which their Zionist ideological map offers them no way of climbing."- 147 replies

If the U.S. and the coalition are able to slow down the advancement of ISIS (which they have not been able to so far), then ISIS will just go back to their previous tactic of bombing of civilian areas. ISIS has been around since after the U.S. invasion in 2003. They are the same Al Qaeda affiliated Sunni group who was bombing markets, police headquarters and Shia pilgrims. After the U.S. military left, they knew it was time to come out. And with the backing of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and the thousands of disenfranchised and poor young Muslims, connected through the internet, located all around the world, ISIS came out in full force. You either leave them be and let them figure things for themselves, while pressuring Saudi and Qatar to stop supporting ISIS, or you go in with boots on the ground. Air attacks are useless and only serve as porn material for Dick Cheney.

Now they are piling on Trudeau
Hudson Jones replied to overthere's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
So every country should wait for other countries to change their approach to climate change? What a terrible way to argue not to do anything. -
Is there anyone on this board who is against the State of Israel inside the recognized international border? If so, let us name names. Just to make it clear (again), I recognize Israel within the recognized international border. Is there anyone on this board who is against a Palestinian State within the recognized international border? Anyone on this board okay with the annexation of Palesitnian land which is illegal according to the law? I can name a few people.

The wheels are in motion for the inevitable; The recognition of a Palestinian State and the simple right of a people for self-determination. It's slow and it's against the powerful Zionist lobby, but it will come in time. Sweden is supposed to recognized Palestine: Sweden will be the first major state of the European Union to recognize Palestine, although some East European countries did so during the Cold War, before they joined the union. Britain is set to vote to recognize Palestine - this is more symbolic and probably will not become Britain's stance until Labour wins in the next elections, which is expected to: MPs are on the verge of backing a historic parliamentary vote that would call on the British government to unilaterally recognise the state of Palestine. Politicians on both sides of the deeply divisive issue believe that the motion will be passed after Ed Miliband instructed his MPs to back it. The resolution, due to be debated on Monday, also has the support of most Liberal Democrat MPs and a number of Tory backbenchers who have so far been given a free vote on the issue. Government ministers are expected to abstain. Israel and Zionists worldwide are losing their shit and doing what they can to stop this from happening.

Now they are piling on Trudeau
Hudson Jones replied to overthere's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You make a lot of good points and I would agree to some extent about the lack of coherency when it comes to the Liberal party and its policies. I think one of the differences between our perspectives is that I think Harper's policies on the environment and science is extremely troubling. The environmental policies are devastating for the planet. The harm we've inflicted on the environment will soon be reaching the point of no return. The results will not only be unpleasant climate wise, but we'll also be on the hook for the economical damages. Harper and many of his policies stand not for the majority of Canada or the good of our planet, but for a small group that is fighting changes that would harm its monopoly in wealth and power. We need to throw away the team cheering mentality and instead do what is right for Canada and the world. -
It's because it is rare that you see a group of people try to excuse the acts of human rights violations like the pro-Zionist crowd do.
-
More "YOU'RE A JEW HATER!" nonsense. jbg: You are a bigot. Pure and simple. You have classified Palestinians as primitive and Jews as the opposite and then have used that extremely bigoted declaration to excuse Israel's theft and systematic ethnic cleansing. Your ideas are primitive.

Now they are piling on Trudeau
Hudson Jones replied to overthere's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Why is it a choice only between those two for you? Isn't policy important for you? You prefer to pick someone whose "substance" is anti-environment/science, anti-human rights, anti-international law because the only other option you've given yourself is wet behind the ears? -
No we do not. You are confused and are confusing things. We will not see Canadians, walking into an aboriginal home and taking over it with the help of the Canadian police.
-
Really now? We see Canadians, supported by Canadian police, walking into aboriginal homes and taking over them?
-
Because we have a silent majority and the yapping loud minority who will do and say as they are told. I don't think majority believe or excuse their actions. Generally speaking, we have grown indifferent and are too occupied with fantasy football and celebrities.

You can keep trying to sell it as such, but Israel doesn't share our values. In this day and age, none of the citizens of the countries you have listed, with the exception of Israel, would allow their country to get away with what Israel is getting away with. How would this fly in Canada or any of the other countries you have listed? Settlers take over 7 E. Jerusalem homes in dead of night ‘Settlers say that they bought the house, but they haven’t shown us any documents,’ says one Palestinian woman whose home settlers took over Tuesday morning. ‘Now they’re sleeping in my bed; all of our clothes and furniture is still inside.’ By Orly Noy Israeli settlers took over seven homes in the Silwan neighborhood of East Jerusalem Tuesday morning, primarily in Wadi Hilwe, the neighborhood’s main thoroughfare. According to residents, the settlers arrived at around 2 a.m., escorted by large numbers of riot police.
-
Thank you. What should be done to stop them from continuing these illegal acts? Should U.S. threaten to hold back the $3 billion+ a year Israel receives? Sanctions? What do you suggest? Because it doesn't look like the Israeli government is into stopping the continuous land grab.

They violate human rights laws. So it does matter. Canada should be looking into those who engage in violations of human rights while fighting with foreign armies and groups. -
Invalidating Canadian Passports
Hudson Jones replied to Big Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
At the same time, the National Post reported more than 100 Canadians are serving in the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) despite having no direct ties to the country. Other Jewish Canadians with family connections and dual citizenship have served in the IDF over the years but the so-called "lone soldiers" are simply drawn to defend the Jewish homeland. Two American lone soldiers were among those killed in the IDF's Gaza offensive this week. Link -

It doesn't matter. They have committed human rights violations and possible war crimes. -

Same thing goes for Canadians who go and fight for others who commit human rights violations? Like the Canadians who are fighting for the IDF? -
Sure thing, little man. Let me know when your constant accusations of "hatred" can be followed up with examples. Until then, all you are is a babbling little man.

The sentence structure was quite poor, but he did mention something about how criticizing Israel and Zionism and supporting Palestinians for their right to self-determination equals to hating Jews.- 147 replies

This is a typical, low-browed response that is expected from people who follow cancerous ideologies, such as Zionism. You are angry because you cannot stand criticism of your ideology. It's a selfish way of thinking that will crush the rights of others in order to achieve its agenda.
