People inspired by nationalism and religion kill by justifying the action. A pilot in a plane knows by pressing the button to release the missile, he will most likely kill innocent people. He does it anyway, because our culture has made it to be okay. For some reason some people like to believe that there is a difference in killing innocent people, when it can be prevented, in the way it's done and in who the killer is.

I do have a discomfort when you try to compare Canada to Israel because Canada has not engaged in bombing campaigns on a strip of land every 2 years in the past 6 years, killing thousands of innocent people. Canada's laws in Canada do not give special right to one group of people to another. I have never excused Canada's bombing campaigns of other countries. But, we are talking about the Atomic bomb. There is a reason why it's called a weapon of mass destruction. There were people living in Palestine for hundreds of years before the European Jews (who have less linkage to Palestine than the Arabs who have been living there for centuries) arrived into Palestine and started kicking the Palestinians out, claiming it to be their land.
