  1. Oh FFS here we go again with the blockheads repeating their denials.... 60% of this site's content. Denier argument point #11: Why should we stop shitting in the well the Chinese kid is still shitting in the well... As to you reply on subject - because we're still trying to get people to go EV in numbers abd initially subsidizing them should make more buyers, more production and therefor lower costs. That's the way it's supposed to work right?
  2. Easy. It was intentionally inane as opposed to the BS most of the posters actually believe.
  3. So Florida taking them out of Texas and pretending they're protecting the border is just fine too? This is just more Republican showmanship to prove what shameless arseholes they are. Works well in a nation where so many believe arse-holiness is next to Godliness.
  4. Well that's a pretty safe bet as ancient old geezers and young people don't tend to even be on the ballot. All the young 'uns I know love to shoot their mouth off as much as anyone but don't seem motivated to get into anything where they can actually DO something about stuff. We're losing community organizations (as well as volunteer groups, shops and businesses) here as boomers retire and no one's willing to take over.
  5. BTW IMHO tablets and touchscreens are toys. Get a real computer if you want to do real work. I've touched my laptop touchscreen maybe 5 times in 3 years, and run into dozens of tablets unuseable with no mouse alternative. And I laugh about the mechanic that spends as much time wiping grease off his tablet as he does reading it.
  6. Which is exactly why I say back it up yourself to an external. And obviously if you're doing business stuff do it weekly or even daily. I have a NAS but the average user who can't find a start button or tell if they're on their Desktop or a web browser (what's that?) wouldn't know what a NAS is and only needs to back up the pictures of their grandbaby doing a faceplant into the birthday cake once in a blue moon. And BTW spend $30 on a labeller. Just came back from a bookkeeper who had a whole bucket of USB sticks. I think that company was on a red one...
  7. Do you not understand if I pick up someone in my car and intentionally drop them somewhere else other than where I told them I would, it's kidnapping? Of course not. The FAKE CHRISTIAN Republicans are above the law. They can't tell right from wrong unless it's written into an ancient book -not that they could understand written things anyway, and have no sense of shame whatsoever. Just as you demonstrate in your posts.
  8. I live on the side of a volcano and the volcano is erupting. Why should I move the lava hasn't hit me yet? Why should I have to pay to move? Humans didn't make it erupt, volcanoes erupt naturally so I shouldn't have to do anything... - Plug the damn thing in at home it doesn't matter it takes longer to charge, you're snoring away anyway FFS.. - most fast chargers already charge you money. Like I said the Tesla I saw told you on the screem you'd paid $24 for fast charging for what would've cost $86 in gasoline. What next, complain that the fast chargers won't let you feed pennies into it? - Vancouver is already going to charge gas stations a huge fee, ie $10,000 extra license fees if they don't have a fast charger. - many parking lots already provide plugs for block heaters, who cares if you only get some free charge while you shop? Do they pour in a gallon of gas while you shop as it is? - you wouldn't believe a tow truck driver if he told you the time, so WTF you doing quoting one?
  9. Interesting proposal. If the supply of hybrids and EVs was upped, perhaps worth considering. But the Gang of Dinosaurs would just refuse to buy vehicles that had hybrid/EV versions and double their snivelling and whining. Thought you might like an answer other than the usual denial. deflection and Trudeau hate they're only capable of posting.
  10. Best advice for all. You can also remind yourself most of them think calling people "leftists" or "liberals" is an insult when it only points out their own ignorance.
  11. They're not. The border states are the ones keeping them in horrible conditions. And then using them as pawns to play petty games as they have no shame at all and no desire to DO anything constructive.
  12. How do you know Trump's KFC wasn't really Killed Fried Christian babies? I mean if we're gonna state absurd conspiracies and outright lies to defend a P.O.S., why not both sides go whole hog?
  13. Not at all. Did you even read the story, no one was showing anyone their private parts. They'd be in JAIL if they did, not subject to School Board discipline. I even posted reason HOW to get rid of the teacher that wouldn't violate union or human rights regulations. I also fully agree that the Board seems to be chickenshit about taking it on, just like I've herd managers bawl that they can't get rid of a useless non-performing employee 'because they're union" or "because they're gay/minority". That's bullshit, it just means the Board/Manager is also too lazy to make the effort to follow the rules.
  14. The economy is not the stock market. Where do you think that money your paying goes to, taxes? FFS recently the gas tax went up two cents and the price went up almost a whole dollar. Speculation and greed in a field most working people can't afford to dabble in themselves. Of course it's the wealthy that benefit most, and that's the system you're touting as a solution. Here you are more or less claiming that welfare drives up the cost to you, when if you were just a peon with a hot dog cart, welfare people could buy one of your hot dogs. Or buy one you stuffed for 40 hours a week in the factory or owned the whole damn factory. Something Henry Ford knew 100 years ago. Now admit it, a UBI is a far more efficient way to handle gov't payments and quit dancing around the point with distractions.
  15. They're high school shops which means they're 16+ and some of their classmates don't wear bras. And if any get sent home because of dress code, that's so rare it makes the news when it does happen. Suspend the teacher because she's a lunatic to wear disgusting oversize boobs and teach shop, or to mock authority. Pretty obvious she knows as little about safety as she does style. It IS inappropriate for the job, but not for reasons of obscenity or being a tranny.
  16. Oh FFS she's wearing a shirt! And if she did take the shirt off she'd show fake boobs. Don't give me this "innocent 16 & 17 yr old minor children' bit implying wet tshirts or going braless and mannequins with nipples are public indecency.
  17. So the objections are not that this trans person had such a misogynistic concept that woman EQUALS huge tits? It's because the huge tits would be fine if the teacher was a woman? Or being even more absurd, saying just having huge tits in public = indecency. Had two wives that would've beat you to death with them if you'd said that to their face.
  18. That's the story we grew up with. Then I went there in 2014. Everyone I met was working, tiny outport cafes in Nfld were full at 2:00 pm on a Tuesday whereas we were used to being the one table at the restaurant on Friday night. The Hwy16 corridor from Prince Rupert east was devastation compared to what we ran into on our trip. Unlike here where they got some kind of grant,l opened a gift shop for one summer charging $80 for a spoon, $50 for a tshirt etc. then closed for good, it seemed out east they'd seemed to make a lot of sustainable businesses from the support they got. Here in BC the Fraser Canyon serves as an example of what you get if we don't use public money to maintain anything. Ghost towns of shuttered homes, stores, gas stations and motels rotting along the Trans Canada Highway. It's shameful. Is that what people want? S UBI would save the running around from agency to agency and best of all end this BS of looking down the nose and blaming laziness instead of circumstance.
  19. Then you should get out more often and Don't Look Up or you'll have to change that observation. Maybe we use them because they aren't noisy, stinky and you have to pay for the fuel. Or because they make FREE electricity and you get to buy less from Hydro. Perhaps some of us just don't want to pollute the air right next to the house.
  20. Not giving them more money, giving them the money they get anyway with one bureaucracy. And eliminating the need for any more emergency CERB like things in the future. Ans what all you Free Enterprisers forget is that the economy IS the amount of money changing hands. Not the amount that sits in one place. Like I pointed out before, the Welfare money gets spent. And YOU benefit from it too.
  21. Exactly - one as inefficient as is possible. And slowly adding more layers!
  22. Except build a pipeline if the population is against him. Half his detractors in BC are because he approved just one. The North Coast tanker ban has overwhelming support here, they're shitting bricks over 3 new tankers a week in Southern BC. Just try these days to add one pipeline East without Quebec being onboard or the absurd notion of one in the North that will get locals to support. The gas line has enough trouble with protesters marching about "supporting" what they don't know is ONE clan of ONE band when the whole native group approved it. Once again, I must point out all the whining over the usual clan bawling that Trudeau is a dictator while what they really want is a a dictator who will do things that they like regardless of public support. At least Mussolini made the trains run on time... right?
  23. So he runs off to the Internet to search for 1 example to tout as the 'every case'. And ducks back to ad hominem. You already lost the main argument over the thread subject. Why delve into such pettiness to dig yourself deeper on every single thing?
  24. Oh Jeez there's a gas pipeline being built here right now, there's the final steps of an oil pipe underway in Burnaby where I grew up. There's another in Alberta that's built but the Yanks won't turn it on. And that's it! If you know some miraculous way to convince people to build more then spit it out, no one else can. You sure as hell won't be slopping oil around the Northern Coast or pumping highly poisonous thinners through virgin forests, rivers and our backyards without our approval. People can deny all they want, anything new will take decades to build and it's already too late we missed the boat on exports to other than the USA.
  25. Or by a teacher who actually had a clue about native culture. They tended to accept people who are different and don't have this absolute disgust drilled into them by centuries of a dominating monolithic religion.
