The horrors of abortion which our governments support
herbie replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
So can I assume that as birth control and the morning after pill are now FREE, and those reduce the need for abortion that you pro-lifers are fully in support of that policy? Why or why not? -
Tim Walz Lied About His Military Service
herbie replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
So the ROOT OF THE STORY is that Walz made the decision that High Schools would provide FREE feminine products. He did not say Boys washrooms had to, a couple local schools considered that. It enrages right wingers so much that someone somewhere is getting something FREE with "their" tax dollars they had to LIE THRU THEIR TEETH to make an issue of it. Like usual. -

Who's mad? I'm laughing at you. You're the one so desperate to deny you hunt for anything negative at all no matter how absurd the correlation. Word memes. -

OMG he's not talking about Israel's right to defend itself. He's talking about the constant hypocrisy of those claiming to be pro-life while caring more about a fetus than actual living children or by touting the death penalty in the next breath. -
The Main Cause of Inflation is Natural Resource Depletion

People. Just met a guy in the grocery store, was on his way to a BBQ with his wife. He had to buy 2 steaks for $52.00, he had no choice in the matter whatsoever. It was a BBQ he couldn't show up with something else. I sabotaged the store today, in the freezer full of ice cream "on sale" for $8.99 there was a stack of Coconut/Lime ice cream for #3,99 I mentioned to a friend. When we were getting some a lady saw and put back the one she had and grabbed one too, then ran to tell her friend. Must've cost them $50 in lost gouging. -
Why give a shit about the opinions of people who would never ever even consider voting NDP or Green. Their opinions are worthless. Got a nephew quite involved with the Greens, to the point he was in the race to be his riding's nominee. Now he's dropped that and won't support them again until they purge the Palestinian bullshit, and he's not the only Greenie that feels that way.

Dictators destabilizing world
herbie replied to myata's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
So it seems we've discovered the era these guys think was "great". Your Grampa's where America Firsters sold GM & Ford trucks and Coca-Cola to the Nazis while Neville Chamberlain appeased them and Henry Ford had Freedom of Speech to publish newspapers and stand on soapboxes to decry the Jewish problem. -
Republican comrades spreading support for Marxism
herbie replied to Matthew's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
As we all know how Ronald Reagan singlehandedly defeated the Soviet Union that makes everything Marx wrote invalid, incorrect and blasphemous. Therefore mentioning the rise of the lumpen proletariat and their chosen leader's Cult of Personality is verbotten to those within. -

Walz is against burning witches! That proves we must support a megalomaniac pervert convicted criminal, he will burn the witches made of wood. -

About the absolute stupidest headline claim you could post. Something I'd expect from the Beaverton or National Lampoon. -
A Quarter of Employed Canadians Now Work For The Government
herbie replied to CdnFox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Well of course, we could make things so much worse by not having so many govt workers, which quite of few people seem to want to do. So do us a favour and tell me just who you're going to cut? What govt sector needs less staff in 2024? Or you can keep them alive and participating in the economy until growth in other sectors picks up. Pick one of those choices. And yes, immigration is one step. The immigrants are producing their own jobs at a far higher rate than whiney Canadians. -

As I pointed out before, you're incapable of defining a human life. And angry that others had to do that for you, -

An essential platform policy of agitators and Russian trolls. -
Yeah I lost a $13 hr kid years ago who went to work at the mill because his Dad made $30 an hour there. He quit after his first cheque because he only got $19 starting rate. Seniority was bullshit, ta know! Also worked union jobs where I made my way to the top rate. Then when applying for posts the guy who'd been there 5 rs longer was supposed to get the job because he had seniority over me. Only they didn't because Ohm's Law was too hard to figure out for them. And all the griping they did to the Shop Steward didn't help. On the other hand I worked at places the kid got $2 an hour more than me because he was the Boss's nephew. Or bought the Boss's beer at Pub lunches, or just sucked up incessantly. And I even worked one where they abided by a competitor's union contract and paid us 25c an hour more to NOT join the union. In this case, you're talking about an auto plant, and in assembly line work unless they're gonna outdo the union rate you're some kind of stupid not to go union.

A Quarter of Employed Canadians Now Work For The Government

Tax the snot out of them. Or bring back vagrancy laws and jail the unemployed. Both more effective than whining that someone else hasn't created more jobs. You're actually complaining that some people have jobs that wouldn't otherwise. And that the money they earn is just "lost" and not propping up your own job. -

Mom was a nurse after the war. Opinion among her & her colleagues was that if a woman was determined to have an abortion, then it was better to do it in a hospital. Same thing now as if people are determined to do drugs, better to make sure they're safe drugs. "WOKENESS" from 19 f*cking 49 And still people who can't even get pregnant or never do drugs think that they have the valid 'moral' opinions.
