Some pretty ass backwards thinking going on here. Obviously JT's a loser for failing miserably to stick to economic targets and maintain his popularity. PP's a loser for getting zero of what his supporters wanted and his inability to disclose any actual alternative policy. Singh is the WINNER for getting almost everything he asked for and his supporters wanted without even being the govt. Seeing as how the Tories are going to win and render the NDP moot with zero influence I may have to vote for the NDP as their candidate remains the best choice among those running in this riding. I would consider voting Tory only if PP suddenly grows some balls and stands up for Canada against Trump. Which he has yet to do,

We staged a UFO scare back in 1968-1969 by coordinating kids from 3 high schools to launch hot air balloons made from dry cleaner bags with wicker frames and candles for heat all on one night. Lots of calls to radio stations & the cops. We were evil, taped firecrackers 1/2 way down the candles so they'd light and fall off. One prank of many back in the old days.

So far The Penguin's threats are only threats but they are from someone who's known to break his own treaties and promises regardless. Easy to do when you have no sense of shame whatsoever, your backers even less. Could've left some things in place, like instead of pushing work from home calling everyone back because of unused office space, selling off that office space. Like pushing utter hatred towards a Universal social benefit while griping about 23 complete bureaucracies costing us too much. Like forcing posties back to work rather than plan a total restructuring while the staff and managers gradually find other work on their own. But no real options are ever discussed, not even 'trimming the fat' ones anymore. So I see nothing but more than privatization and user fees on the table from PP. Pawned off this time as their 'common sense solutions'. -

Persuade Nathan Cullen to reenter federal race. He could explain how the NDP played Trudeau all these years and benefited Canadians in terms they could understand. I mean there's plenty of dimwits that actually use the 'only to get his pension' to cover the fact the can't see past his turban. Add on those who've yet to mention Freeland's objection to the wimpy uncoordinated response or plans to Trump's threats. Tack on those that think increasing border security and NATO spending will lessen the deficit and cutting or cancelling social programs will win votes. PP's at it again, calling for his weekly non-confidence motion while he watches the Libs collapse of their own accord rather than offering no policies, no alternatives, no positive reason to ask for support. Foolish. Watch their tower collapse and there will be a better chance of a Mulroney like sweep with Canadians voting in spring rather than mid-winter. And if they do, even a solid NDP supporter will agree the NDP may lose a few seats and the Bloc may end up the official opposition. -
No. Just that most people on this forum think they have. Because they themselves would never support anyone other than the Cons. And believe other people are just like them, true believer zealots that can't possibly change their minds ever. Like, the people who think it's time for change don't exist, no one votes Tory this time and Liberal another time. And that anyone who voted for NDP this time would never, ever vote against them another. As the continued fever dream of wishing and imagining parties would vote against their own interests that pops up so often on this forum. Those unable to concede the majority doesn't know how politics work, don't know what govt can and can't do and in rough times usually just wants to lash out at whoever's in power.

We may be f*cked, but we'll never be as f*cked as someone who touts anything but Dark Ages feudalism as Marxism.

Muslim cousin marriages legal in the West - Yea or nea?
herbie replied to Moonlight Graham's topic in The Rest of the World
Rural Alabama's a pretty shitty choice to use to talk about banning Muslim cousin marriages. Only Muslims can't? -
You're talking to people completely unaware of what politics actually is. Parties are supposed to stick to their dogma and just oppose no matter how bad it is for the country or their own survival. Just like the 'objectiveness' shown by blockheads when even though a company has had a year to negotiate and didn't, was given mediation and still didn't will still place all blame on the unions for striking even if it's the only option they have. As they in the same breath spout their hatred of dictators but insist the govt force ends to strikes because the company will not negotiate in good faith. This is the third instance of that this year, pretending you can't negotiate with workers leave that to govt and they'll get you a better deal.

Oh buy a soapbox and start your own church FFS. The woke Catholic leftist socialists might see the light and join. While your at it hunt down something that tells us how much more freedumb they have to get defenstrated by Putin than they did under Gorbachev.
