Ted Cruz Family Values
Aristides replied to Rebound's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Ted has no principles. Lets Trump insult his wife and still kisses the man's ring. Goes to Cancun while Texan's freeze in the dark because of power outages then blames it on his daughters. He's a first class PoS. Like Trump, everything is about him. -
Not declaring taxable benefits is not an obscure law and it is a federal crime as well as state. It's a crime in Canada as well. He is also facing charges of manipulating his property values to avoid tax. He is being investigated by a Georgia grand jury for election interference. The list is only going to get longer. But, but, Hunter Biden.

Per capita, the US spends twice as much than Canada on health care. -
Why do people hate the EU? One of it’s purposes was to make Europe so interdependent future wars between members would be impossible. So far it has worked with the longest period of peace in Western European history.

The Liberals have presented no statistics that show these weapons, legaly owned are the cause of any more deaths than other firearms. They can't because there aren't any. Other than costing the tax payer a fortune to buy back all these weapons, they will be turning any honest citizen into a criminal if they resist turning them in. This kind of cynical villainizing of honest people for political points is one of the things that really pisses me off about Trudeau.

A few words from a retiring General
Aristides replied to Army Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I really don't think most people join the military because of the money. Yes, it has to be reasonable and afford them a decent standard of living but that is not the primary reason they join. This is what separates a country's armed forces from mercenaries. The military has to be something people want to join other than for the money. The idea that we can treat them however we want if we just pay them more won't wash in a society with lots of civilian jobs and social safety nets -
Your continual name calling and insults are the characteristics of a child who hasn't yet learned how to carry on a debate without them. When you are contradicted, you just get louder and more obnoxious. I'm starting to wonder how old you really are. As you don't seem to post after 9PM Eastern time, I'm beginning to wonder if it is past your bed time.

That's how I see myself. I'm really not happy with the direction either of our major parties have gone.
