The Capitol police had no authority to call in the National Guard. Only the state governments and the President have that authority. DC isn't a state so that responsibility rested solely on Trump.

Wind and solar won't solve all our problems but they sure won't hurt. As a mater of fact, more electricity won't solve all our problems, but it sure won't hurt. There won't be a silver bullet to replace gas and oil, it will come from a variety of technologies and for some applications, there will be no substitute because alternatives just don't have the energy density and portability.

Classic whataboutism. If we are going to judge other cultures, we should judge ourselves by the same standards. I think we are in the process of finding a balance and it won't be a straight line. I also don't think immigrants are the problem, they have no stake in what who did to who 100 or more years ago, most are just happy to be here.
