The US is leading the western world in supporting Ukraine and NATO hasn't been as strong or united since the Cold War. Energy prices are higher all over the world because of Russia, not the US. Doesn't matter what Biden says, admission into NATO has to be a unanimous decision by its members. This war has proved that Ukraine does need to be a member of NATO. Any European country bordering Russia does. People join NATO because they see Russia as a threat to their independence. Ukraine has proved them right.

NATO never said it would accept Ukraine as a member. There is no buildup of weapons in NATO countries bordering Russia and Putin's invasion has made it clear that countries bordering Russia need to be members of NATO. Sweden Finland. Article 5 is a defence agreement, Russia has no reason to fear Article 5 unless it attacks a NATO country. That is why Sweden and Finland are joining NATO.
