Aristides replied to West's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Republicans got the lowest midterm gain in the House in peacetime history and lost the Senate. Overturning R v W. cost republicans a lot of votes and in every state that put adding reproductive rights to their constitution to a referendum, it passed. When was there a popular vote count in mid terms? Such winning. If there was a lesson in this election it was people are tired of games and want stuff done. We’ll see if Republicans were listening. If not, things will go even worse for them in 24. -

There was nothing MAGA about it and writing it off as such is no different from labeling anything else, whether it's con, libby, Nazi, facist, commie or any other label that lets one avoid serious discussion. -

This is how the Trump loons (including Flynn) wanted to deal with freedom. https://www.axios.com/2021/02/02/trump-oval-office-meeting-sidney-powell?deepdive=1 -

So free speech for you. Anyone who disagrees with you is an enemy of freedom. You would have thrived in the Soviet Union, as long as you toed the party line. -

Sour grapes but she still conceded and she never said Trump cheated. And yet those same FOX apologists had nothing but excuses for Trump in 2020. -

Bullshit, Clinton conceded the day after the 2016 election. Trump lost 60 court challenges and incited an insurrection two months after. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/nov/09/hillary-clinton-concedes-election-donald-trump-speech -

Yes, if he made big changes to their working conditions and gave them an ultimatum. -

Anything but. Not a Thatcherite but the lady was right on. It's interesting that many of the liberal countries we look up to for their social programs (Scandinavia, Switzerland etc) have compulsory military service. -

Canada is sixth among NATO countries in military spending which is were we should be but we are 13th in percentage of GDP which we definitely shouldn't be. Aside from the military, our health care system is falling apart yet government sees fit to fund new programs which are unfunded. Before we spend billions on dental programs, stop the disintegration of the rest of our health care system first. -
Still hasn't sunk in that this lunacy is what made the Republicans do so poorly in the mid terms. Probably never will. I hope the loons keep it up, it will help the Democrats in 24.

Debt under Clinton increased an average of less than 4% per year he was in office. By far the lowest since Johnson.

I don't know and neither do you therefore our judgement has nothing to do with anything.

I'm not pretending anything, it's the transplant surgeons who required her to be vaccinated but I guess you know better on the basis of one person who had a reaction to a vaccine.
-
I listen to doctors, not internet experts.

It's totally justifiable and if it were my organs being donated there is no way I would want them to go to an antivaxer, a person who is willing to put their life in the hands of surgeons and take anti rejection drugs for the rest of their lives to survive but when it comes to vaccines, they know better. Give my organs to someone with the brains to appreciate them and honour the person who gave them.
