It doesn't speak anything other than what you want to make it. She did't justify anything or blame anyone. That's your thing. -

She never gave a reason for her divorce and we have no idea of the state of their marriage. -

So what if she lived on the west coast and her kids moved to New York, should she move to be there for them? How is her not moving across the country to be with them different from her moving to Italy? -

So when your parents get old it should be your duty to move to where they are and be there for them. In other words, give up your own life. -

Or it means she thinks it is none of our effing business and she doesn't think she should be discussing her family relationships in public and behind their backs. Maybe she is showing a respect for them that you don't think they deserve. She never said she has cut ties with her kids or discussed her current relationship with her ex. -

No one has explained where the problem is here. All I see is someone who thinks they have the right to judge the morality of others with almost no knowledge of their lives. -

You don't know what she discussed with her kids and you don't know where they live. She doesn't discuss her relationship with her husband or kids at all, which leaves you free to make up whatever you want. In a way I admire her courage to make such a step. Not for me though, I'm lucky enough that my kids have made their own lives close to me. Many of may boomer friends have to travel thousands of miles to visit their kids. My daughter's kids have Swiss citizenship through their father. One of them has just spent a year working there and is thinking of moving back permanently if she doesn't get into nursing school here next year. Just because you get old doesn't mean you give up the right to live your own life. -

I may have talked to them but didn’t ask their permission. I ended up moving to the other end of the country at one point. You don’t know if she discussed it with her kids or if they approved. Where did she say others should do it. -

So judgy. Her kids are grown and on their own. Do you think they ask her permission to move somewhere to improve their lives? Who knows what her marriage was like, maybe she stuck with him for 30 years because of the kids. I’m older and am realizing that if I don’t do stuff now while I’m still healthy, I never will. My kids don’t ask permission to make their life changes nor do they need to. -

A new media deal was just signed that will make the WNBA about 200 million a year for the next 11 years. -

Doubt they will look like this but gravity batteries are a concept that is being looked into on several fronts. Among other things, abandoned mine shafts are being considered, including one in Germany. https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/energy/a42613216/scientists-turn-abandoned-mines-into-gravity-batteries/ https://www.energy-storage.news/gravitricity-and-energy-vault-move-forward-with-commercialising-gravity-energy-storage/ I don't know why some of you guys don't spend five minutes doing a search but you would rather stay ignorant and call people names.

It isn't the depth for ships, it's the sea states it generates. So they are shifting to the US, they are still travelling by tanker because there are no pipelines to the US from BC other than the original TM. It is our choice where we ship it too. A lot of that oil is being tankered to California where it is loaded into larger tankers and shipped to Asia.
