  1. Not supporting over production isn’t government waste. Destroying something that has already been paid for just to keep it from being used, is government waste. You seem incapable of understanding the difference.
  2. Your slavish devotion to the man triggers you to justify anything he does, regardless of how stupid or spiteful.
  3. We do not sell whole milk to Japan. I gave you the Government of Canada statistics for dairy exports to Japan. Can't you f*cking read. The seventies was 50 years ago. If you want to let farmers produce as much as they want and give the surplus to the poor, you should be prepared to pay the farmers who produce it because they can't do it for nothing.
  4. You weren't going on about the seventies, you were b*tching about JT waisting milk. As usual, you resort to name calling.
  5. We do not sell whole milk to Japan. https://aimis-simia.agr.gc.ca/rp/index-eng.cfm?action=gR&r=139&signature=1481D618796E552ACB7F212726E90688&pdctc=&pTpl=1#wb-cont
  6. Who changed the plan? If you don't have quota dairies won't take it. That has never changed. You think that people should produce whatever they want and if they can't sell it, government should buy it and give it away. If the US decides to end aid that's its business but to willfully destroy what has already been paid for just so needy people can't get it is criminal.
  7. The problem with whole milk is it can't practically be transported for long distances, by the time you process it, put it on a refrigerator ship and send it half way around the world it's already close to its best before date. That's why the Americans want to dump theirs just across the border.
  8. FFS the condoms were bought to give to people in 3rd world countries who can't afford them, not to sell to Americans or other developed countries for less than the stores are currently selling them. If the goddamn 3rd world countries could afford this stuff on their own, there would be no need for foreign aid and we wouldn't even be talking about this.
  9. The price drops and farmers go broke, like everyone else who produces something they have a cost of production. The farmer I spoke to was a multi generation dairy farmer from a Swiss dairy family. A year ago he decided to get out of the business while he could instead just borrowing to stay in business until he finally went broke which is what a lot of Fraser Valley dairy farmers are doing. He sold his cows and quota, got out of debt and now just uses his land to produce top quality hay for horse owners. He sleeps at night, can take days off and vacations like normal people and is a much happier guy. I asked him if he felt bad about giving up dairy as it was what he had done all his life and he said hell no, I'm a farmer, it doesn't have to be dairy. We either control prices so farmers can make a living without subsidies, subsidize lower prices with tax money or hand another whole industry to the Americans. Elbows UP. Right? So if Windsor builds more cars than it can sell, the government should buy them and give them away or undercut the dealers so prices drop below the cost of production? Give your f*cking head a shake. The reason isn't Trump, the reason is they are destroying something they were going to give to people who need them just so someone else can't give them to people who need them.
  10. Sell it to who? You act like there can't be overproduction of a commodity. If they are already selling all the market will bear, who will buy the surplus? If they give it away for free, who will reimburse the farmers for producing it? The birth control was already paid for by government, are you saying government should pay farmers to over produce milk so they can give it away. What are you, some kind of commie?
  11. How is government wasting milk if farmers are producing far more than they can sell? You couldn't have picked a dumber analogy.
  12. You do understand that milk is perishable and has to be pasteurized before it can be given to the public? So you are giving it away and no one is buying it so farmers go broke and then you have no milk at all.
  13. Millions of litres of milk were dumped during Covid and a local dairy farmer gave me a simple reason why. The restaurant industry is a huge consumer of dairy and during Covid they were either shut down or severely restricted. It was that simple.
  14. So what do you suggest, free milk for everyone? How will you pay farmers to produce it or do you expect them to do it for nothing? You were the one who brought up dumping and waste. There you go again, projecting yourself on others. Americans complaining about our supply management goes back long before Trump, he is just a bigger liar.
  15. The stuff is already ie Europe, all you have to do is say come and get it. Are you going to ship it home or pay for someone to dispose of it there?
  16. We aren't speeding even more money to destroy something just so someone who needs it can't benefit from it. Besides, Canadians are buying as little as possible from the US because your president is being such an Ahole, declaring economic war on us and threatening our sovereignty. Pound sand yourself.
  17. Like what? I know what supply management is, I live in dairy country. Supply management is to discourage overproduction and maintain a price that reflects the cost of production, instead of subsidizing farmers to overproduce like in the US. Americans dump a lot of milk too. https://ambrook.com/offrange/supply-chain/dairy-farmers-milk-dumping https://www.wisfarmer.com/story/news/2016/10/17/us-dairy-farmers-dump-43-million-gallons-year/92313444/ https://en.edairynews.com/theres-so-much-milk-that-us-farmers-are-dumping/ But I suppose you will blame Trudeau for that as well.
  18. This is cute. https://euromaidanpress.com/2025/07/16/texas-man-joins-russian-army-to-earn-respect-gets-lied-to-as-he-is-sent-to-front-line-instead-of-welding-job/
  19. Blame, blame, anything but take responsibly for your own actions. We aren't destroying anything out of spite.
  20. I didn't pick that nit, someone else did. Trying to deflect this on Canada is just plain stupid. Pick a country, any country to blame for your own actions.
  21. Deflect, deflect. That's still all you can come up with. Boooorinnng
  22. In 2022, Canada spent a slightly higher percentage of its GNI on foreign aid than the US. .27% vs .22%.
