  1. Floods in the Fraser Valley, a good chunk of the province burning down last summer. 100 year storms becoming 20 year storms. We have had two floods since the nineties which were supposed to be 100 year storms. Hotter summers with more severe fire seasons. They are all for real. What cave do you live in? Alternative science, is that Iike is alternative facts?
  2. Two degrees will cause a good portion of them to melt, they are melting at an accelerating rate already. The Greenland ice sheet is 2 miles thick at its centre. How much land will now be underwater? Some of the worlds largest cities are near sea level. More places to grow food longer and more that you can't grow it at all because of drought, we are seeing that already in California and Arizona. Increasing economic migrations into more northern countries as a result. If you think there are too many people coming across the border now, that will pale in comparison when more southern countries have their economies collapse and become increasingly unliveable. Screw future generations we will be gone, so party on.
  3. That is for reconnaissance and targeting, hanging a bunch of missiles under the wings will hurt endurance and range. More weight and more drag. The only way to get more range is more fuel.
  4. What is "the wrong thing?" I do think the carbon tax does have some influence on behaviour. How much is almost impossible to know so arguments can be made on both sides.
  5. Maybe but how long will we have to wait for those. I see the Brits have just ordered some of the Protecter version of the MQ-9
  6. The range of the MQ=28, 2000 miles and XQ-58, 3000 miles are less than half of the MQ-9. The Avenger is not in service and to date, only 9 have been built. Although there has been foreign interest, none have been ordered.
  7. That still does change the fact we are dumping billions of tons of trapped carbon into the atmosphere and oceans by burning fossil fuels. We can debate the best ways of dealing with it but doing nothing isn't one of them.
  8. What is the new tech, is it being developed and who is doing it? Is there a replacement for the MQ-9 in development and how long would we have to wait until it is. Some designs just have very long operational lives and are capable of being continually upgraded, B-52, C-130, U2, F-15, F-16, Harrier etc. A drawback to getting the latest is always having to deal with its teething problems and continual updates. One of the upsides of dithering so long on the F-35 purchase is we will be getting the latest Block 4 model which is far more capable than earlier versions and avoid many of its early problems. The price has also come down.
  9. Like I said, you sad sacks can't even understand a simple carbon cycle.
  10. They can't even understand something as basic as a carbon cycle so what do you expect.
  11. The Global Hawk is a surveillance drone, they aren't armed.
  12. You are a Putin fan boy, cheering him on in the disastrous war he started. Your crocodile tears are pathetic and dishonest.
  13. Your love of Putin is a matter of record and so is your use of insults in just about every post. Don’t be so sensitive.
  14. These guys thought they did and refused to testify at all. Brooks, Biggs, Jackson, McCarthy, Perry and Jordan. Where were you then?
  15. Yes, because everything is about him. He will abandon Ukraine and give Putin half the country for starters.
  16. I always thought a brigade was a unit consisting of more than one battalion.
  17. Do you fools think that these despots are supporting Trump because they think he will stand up to them? Are you really that delusional or are you happy that he will give them a free rein. I'm thinking it is the latter with this Putin ass kisser.
  18. I would think so but if they would need to be based there to give us any kind of meaningful surveillance. 7200 km in 28 hours means an average cruise speed of just under 140 kts, about the final approach speed of your average airliner.
  19. He could have said he would testify if it was public like Hunter. Instead he refused to testify at all. Just like Brooks, Biggs, Jackson, McCarthy, Perry and Jordan. Where was your outrage when they refused to testify?
  20. No one is screaming The Sky is Falling. That is all you have for an argument. Sure they use computer models to make predictions, but the temperature, ice measurements and sea level data being fed into them is not fiction. Better than you just pulling stuff out of your ass and calling people names.
  21. Tried what? He flat out refused to testify period.
  22. Hunter isn't ignoring the subpoena, he just wants his testimony to be public. Seems the committee has a problem with transparency.
