The mess is caused by the constitution that says anyone born in the US is a citizen. Period. We have the same law in Canada although it isn't in the Constitution. I don't agree with it, I think at least one parent should have permanent resident status or better for the child to get automatic citizenship. We don't have a big problem with illegals but birth tourism is an issue in some parts of the country. Women with advanced pregnancy come to Canada on a visitor visa, have their child to get it citizenship, then go back home. Not only does it produce citizens of convenience but it plugs up maternity wards in some hospitals forcing locals to use hospitals in a different town.

So you will be responsible for and have to look after the kids or dump it on local governments. That's all I've been saying. You guys were trying to say you could force the parents to take them along. You can't.

Answer the question. I don't know how many would take their kids, how many would make plans for them or how many would just leave them. All I am saying is whatever they decide to do, there is nothing you can do about it because the kids are citizens. So what are you going to do with the kids that just get left with no plans made for them?

There is a case to be made for both but once one of these fires get away there isn't much that can stop it other than weather. Controlling brush in recently logged areas should be a no brainer but not possible in the other millions of square miles of forest.

Habeas corpus basically means, show us the body. You can't accuse someone of a crime if you can't show a crime has been committed. You present one case and claim millions are guilty. There are millions of acres of forest in northern Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba that have never been logged as well as the NWT. Other than removing slash and planting more fire resistant species after logging and fires there isn't much in the way of management that can be done for the rest. Hotter, dryer summers and lower snow packs mean more fires. They also mean more thunderstorms and lightning strikes.

You say there are millions of illegals an d bring up one case. You can produce nothing that shows the are committing a greater rate of crimes than citizens. Stop with the bullshit, I have never pushed for anything of the sort. I don’t object to deporting people who enter illegally unless they are escaping persecution. Both our countries have a history of that. I’m just saying that you can’t force parents to remove citizen children from their country of citizenship. You can’t force any citizen to leave for any reason.

What crimes have they committed? I'm not saying you can't deport people who have entered the country illegally, I am saying you can't force them to take US citizens with them if they don't want to. At no time have I ever supported open borders, I do support due process. Laws aren't something to be ignored just because it is convenient.

We haven't changed the way they are managed but these huge wildfires are becoming far more frequent. Why? Drought and higher temperatures are making forests more vulnerable. Why are we experiencing more frequent droughts and higher temperatures? You can’t deport a citizen for something their parents did. The parents don’t have to do anything for the kid to stay in the country because the kid is a citizen with the rights of a citizen. When is that going to sink in. This is one of the reasons I’m against citizenship based solely on birth and the only way to stop it is amend that constitution.

Then you are forcing citizens to leave the country of their citizenship. You can’t do that in Canada. A citizen iis a citizen, you can’t deport a citizen for something their parents did.

Intelligent. BC alone has an area of over 360,000 sq miles, most of if forest and much of it vertical. It has had record or below normal snow pack levels 3 years in a row. The prairie provinces have experienced 4 years in a row of drought conditions. Must be the fault of "lefties".

How many? And while you're at it, how many have beed murdered, raped or harmed by US citizens? You aren't deporting people who have just committed crimes, that would be justified? You are just using it as an excuse to deport people who have done nothing wrong, along with their citizen children..

What does it say? You are saying the parents should be forced to make that choice. You are the one saying that parents should be forced to make the choice between being with their kids and their kids having to give up the rights that come with their citizenship. Go take your kid to be poor in a 3rd world country with few opportunities when they could grow up US citizens. That is the "choice" you righteous wankers want to give them.

What did they do to put the kids in that position other than have them born US citizens? The kids aren't being abandoned, their parents are being deported. FFS try being honest for a change, you want the kids gone as well, even though they are your citizens.
