The Folly of Ignoring Climate Change
Infidel Dog replied to Rebound's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I hope you're not pretending your 2 posts are heavy on fact. Because if you are why don't you try to show us some. Now on the importance of rare earth to Wind turbines good blather. Now here's some science for you. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2590332220302980 -
The Folly of Ignoring Climate Change

Concerning volcanoes and climate change, let's not forget that you started that one, Mike. BTW everything you say there is incorrect. -
The Folly of Ignoring Climate Change
Infidel Dog replied to Rebound's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Let's go through that paragraph by paragraph. There's so much BS that's the only way to do it. First of all when you're talking about some imagined necessity of reducing CO2 (good for you for not saying carbon) you're not talking about climate change. You're talking about climate catastrophism. That's the believe the world is coming to end at some unknown time perhaps hundreds of years into the future because we humans have been too successful burning fossil fuels for energy. Oh, and why do Warmiacs never want to mention nuclear or the fact their environmental arm won't let them flood any more of the natural world for hydro. Those two alternatives might actually work. Al Gore is an incompetent, boob who had the gift of gab, the right connections and got lucky in his bank account. However almost every claim he's ever made on a coming climate catastrophe has been proven to be incorrect. Do you really want to get into Al Gore? I'm thinking maybe you don't. But if you do maybe we can discuss Greta too. If you're talking wind and solar you can't compete with China for the tech. They own or control almost all the earth's rare earth minerals wind and solar rely on. They also have a cheaper work force. Your connections can make a few illusory bucks on the side if the government offers enough tax breaks and subsidies. There's no evidence the move to alternative energy is improving western economy. That's because it's not. You lasso little Denmark out of the herd of facts and suggest that shows something. Very well, now do Germany. Tell the Germans why they should be happy about freezing in the dark this winter after their boondoggle of a massive and unsuccessful attempt to move to alternative energy. Then we can discuss France, the UK and the rest of them. Giorgia Meloni thanks you for another plank to her platform of things that turned to catastrophes under the old government. She was able to defeat them because of their screw-ups. I'm not even sure Denmark is that happy with where they are as far as energy goes but that's another advantage to using little Denmark. Who's going to spend the rest of the day checking? Climate catastrophism is about politics. Alternatives at this point are different. They aren't "better." Possibly some time in the future but at this time they are inferior to fossil fuels by any useful metric. Oh, and I would say the elephant in the room is even if you do succeed in impoverishing the west by scaring them into subservience under the cloak of some sort of imagined future catastrophe caused by too much CO2 it wouldn't matter. India and China won't get off the fossil fuels. They're too useful. -
Lauren Southern notices that if you get past the demagoguery and just pay attention to what Giorgia Meloni's policies are they're just obvious common sense solutions. She makes a cool point at the end of her video below too. She says: "The only way to protect all people no matter what their politics are; no matter what their identity is, is to find a common sense balance again. And with the Overton Window having gone so far leftward that it is falling off the edge a middle ground can genuinely only be found in what we are now calling "the far right." That is where the middle used to be."

And yours is Peppa Pig. Got it.
-
I get a kick out of Mike wanting to pull his hair out and run around in circles about the Peppa Pig thing. First of all that wasn't Giorgia and second I don't think much came of it. I think one of the reasons whoever's behind the idea for that Peppa Pig episode push it out there is because they can get people like Mikey squealing all over the internet like it's the end of world or something if somebody doesn't like it.

Until Kari Lake wins Governor of Arizona anyway.

Mediating. But this is more interesting... Tucker explains how Giorgia was able to win. Basically she takes the part of the little boy in the story of The Emperor's New Clothes. She dares to discuss what should be obvious: BTW she won a majority. Her populism is mainstream again. Like it was before the Progressive Socialists took control. Doesn't matter if their media calls her extreme.
-
Why do you think she'd have a better chance of negotiating with him if she lined up with the league of enemies looking for a fight with him? Possibly if she is the pal to Putin you as a Progressive would like to present her as but also a member state of the west she could negotiate as a mediator from a place of non-aggression to either side.
-
And it's a matter of opinion. I see Macron more as progressive socialist (as in progressing toward socialism,) globalist puppet, Trudeau clone than a champion of the west, myself. But yeah if Giorgia can find a way to negotiate with Putin rather than join in pushing him towards this war the globalists seem to want I'm fine with that. And which of those two options is the real extremist, I wonder.

Pardon me CBC et al did I only say "Right?" Far right. Right? (Whatever that is...)
-
And it isn't just Sweden, Italy, and apparently America moving right. Here's the most recent poll I could find of what's happening in Canada. I've seen older ones like this: https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/justin-trudeau-slightly-favoured-over-pierre-poilievre-for-prime-minister-new-poll-1.6075396 But even those were close and Poilievre appeared to be gaining.

There's a good one HERE on how the media is treating Giorgia Meloni. Most of them seem to be comparing her to Mussolini. The Daily Mail is an exception, so let's look at that one. The others are what you'll be getting from the 5 o'clock liars so you don't need me to find the "far right" claims. " "She questions the power of the European Union, the wisdom of mass immigration and ‘LGBT lobbies’, and has built a powerful personal brand with her carefully crafted image as a down-to-earth, 45-year-old single mother who understands ordinary Italians. "At political rallies, she gives her impassioned hour-long speeches dressed in black trousers that look as if they are from a supermarket rack. Not for her the power-dressing, Prada heels and expensive salon hair-dos favored by the Roman political elite. "In a guttural voice, she tells Italians of her ‘humble’ childhood, of how she was raised by a single mother in a gritty district of Rome after her father abandoned them, leaving her to claw her own way up the slippery pole of Italian politics. And this, she says, has shaped her core beliefs. "‘I want a country where you get ahead, not because of your friends in high places, or the family you were born into, but what you make of yourself’, she says during our interview. "‘The voters like me because they trust me. They know there are no tricks, no lies. I have the courage to say what I believe in. I will do exactly what I promise them. It has been a long walk for me to get this far. But I have never changed my ideals. Other politicians say one thing one day, and two days later say something different with the same face.’" Mussolini had corporate media in his hands. She doesn't. The Daily Mail story also said, "Meloni insists she is not of the far-Right but building up a party similar to the UK’s Tories and the U.S. Republicans. Among her major policies are big cuts on income tax, VAT and business taxes; plus a tough line on illegal immigration, targeting in particular traffickers’ boats coming from Libya to Italy and the granting of automatic citizenship to babies born to foreign parents."
-
Sweden moved right in their election too. Or as the media tells you, "far right." Same thing, it seems, right and far-right depending on the message they want to sell.
-
So, did you hear this one? Italy's right wing, led by Meloni, wins election, exit polls say "Far-right leader Giorgia Meloni's electoral alliance appears to hold a wide lead in Italy's national vote. If Meloni becomes premier, she will be the first woman in Italy to hold that office. Her party, with neo-fascist roots, would need to form a coalition with her main allies to command a majority in Parliament." https://ground.news/article/italys-right-wing-led-by-meloni-wins-election-exit-polls-say_aa320a I'm not that up on Giorgia Meloni. Not sure what makes her far-right. Here's her victory speech where she gives her platform: Why is that "far-right." Not too long ago it was mainstream. What exactly is this "far-right" thing of which the stenographers of the 'Powers That Be' taking down copy in their media so often refer to anyway?

This one's also interesting because it's an American noticing the viral 'Trudeau Must Go" campaign:
-
True, but let's consider the other side of that. Suppose this final massive push isn't enough. What else has he got after that? Nuclear, I guess. So will he use it? That's a question. Will Russia rise up before he does? That's another one.
-
You mentioned Arizona. That one's Interesting. Mark Kelly Versus Blake Masters. That's one of the America First candidates Republican Senate leader, Mitch McConnel withdrew 8 million dollars in funding from. 80 year old Mitch knows Trump supported Republicans will vote against him as leader if they get in. But Independent and America First money immediately flooded in to Blake's campaign in reaction to Mitch's slimy maneuvering of the Republican money. So now if you're a resident of Arizona when you turn on your television you may see this ad financed without help from McConnell's old guard Republicans: And Blake has been closing in on Kelly in the polls. So how sure are you really, that Masters can't win?

According to the US Sun things don't look good for a war aged Russian male (or if you would prefer, cannon fodder) today. https://www.the-sun.com/news/6277405/russians-escape-putins-call-fight-ukraine/ Massive street protests too.

I solved the carbon issue in Canada

I don't know why the Navy Scientists chose those dates for their prediction of Arctic Ice disappearing. I do know they were wrong. I also know they are not the only dummies that have been wrong about Arctic ice disappearing. You can find the links to those warmist scientists incorrect predictions at the climate skeptic site, Watts Up With That, HERE. -

Of this graph, you mean? See on the bottom left where it says JR Christy Univ. Alabama in Huntsville. That's the source. Dr. Christy was appearing before a May 13 hearing before the House Natural Resources Committee where he "argued that the state-of-the-art models informing agency analyses of climate change “have a strong tendency to over-warm the atmosphere relative to actual observations.” To illustrate the point, Christy provided a chart comparing 102 climate model simulations of temperature change in the global mid-troposphere to observations from two independent satellite datasets and four independent weather balloon data sets." https://cei.org/blog/manufacturing-alarm-dana-nuccitellis-critique-of-john-christys-climate-science-testimony/ Do you not know who John Christy is? He is the scientist who co-coordinates the global satellite temperatures with Dr. Roy Spencer. In fact Dr. Spencer has another one: -

I don't know... There's been some pretty freaky winter weather here and there for the last little while, causing all kinds of chaos. Did you seriously not hear the one from some of those political scare merchants you call scientists trying to convince us warming causes cooling to excuse it? Seriously...they have a whole theory and everything. I forget exactly how it goes. I was too busy laughing. Apparently some suckers actually take it serious. -

Sorry Bud, it's cut the crap time. So are you trying to convince me that when you talk about "Climate Change" you're not talking about human caused climate catastrophism? Very well what's your problem then? Climate changes. So what?
