Humans CANNOT change the climate of a planet
Infidel Dog replied to reason10's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Why? Who said it had to be 100%. 97% is the one you hear about most. That one's bogus but I don't want to get into it because it's a trick. It doesn't claim to be what I'm asking for. A consensus supporting the idea there's an inevitable catastrophe coming of Global Warming caused by man's use of fossil fuels. When is this catastrophe coming? What exactly will it look like? Show me this consensus that is on board with what ever your answers will be. Don't just say "Of course" like you know what you're talking about when you obviously don't -

Why? Who said Earth's climate hasn't been warming for 150 years of so. It started happening about the time this era they call the Little Ice Age was ending. It was a natural phenomena. What I said and still say is there is no scientific consensus for an inevitable human caused catastrophe of global warming. Go back to Google and try again that one didn't help you. The catastrophe is the key ingredient. If you don't have that you can't explain the political necessity of responding. Also statements from organizations are generally political. If you start interviewing the general membership you'll hear differing opinions. -

No I didn't. I cite them as the kind of prophets of a global warming catastrophe religion supported by the PTB that for some reason otherwise sensible humans are too willing to fall in line behind. If you didn't have Gore this whole warming scare would never have happened. If you didn't have Greta nicompoop teenage girls wouldn't be throwing tomato soup on priceless works of art. -

I'll play your little game. You said there is a consensus of climate scientists behind your claim of a Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming that is inevitable. Show it to me. Can't do it can you? Would you like to know why? Such a specific "Consensus" doesn't exist. -

I say look it up because ocean out-gassing, ocean conveyor belt, climate sensitivity. This is all basic stuff. If you want to present yourself as knowledgeable on the issue you should know it. I wouldn't get overly impressed by word "gigaton" if I were you. It's a big planet with lots of atmosphere. Any of your "consensus" scientists ever tell you about this? AN INTRODUCTION TO THE CARBON CYCLE -

The consensus of climate scientist say there's an inevitable warmageddon coming caused by the burning of fossil fuels? Is that what you're saying? If so, Bullshit. Show it to me. -

You Gore and Greta guys crack me up. There's all this basic stuff you don't seem to know yet somehow somebody has convinced you you're the masters of science. Ocean out-gassing. Ocean conveyor belt. Look it up. Start there for other atmospheric sources of CO2. While your at it and if you think human emissions will bring about warmagedon because there's a science experiment showing warming increasing a degree per doubling of CO2, look again. That won't bring about the sort of climate catastrophe you're hoping for. For that you have to invent a new process in your head that there is no science experiment for. Try "climate sensitivity" on your Google machine. That's a term you should make yourself familiar with if you really want to puff your chest out and pretend you're "the science." And yes, the earth has been CO2 starved for an epoch or so. Technically we're in an ice age. You knew that, didn't you, Science Boy? Did they tell you over on the progressive journal you get your information from that life on earth needs CO2 to survive? We came close to going below the line where everything dies. I think it's 150 ppm. I believe at one point we were 180. -
If you noticed the obvious demographic shift good for you but why are you having such a problem understanding how others have as well. They have and will use it to push their agendas. Democrats, Republicans and Globalists. Even Nazis. And if you're admitting now that you knew about the demographic shift all along I'm going to add you to the list. And no, Nazis and Republicans also being on the list doesn't mean you can lasso just those two out of it then proclaim therefore the two are the same thing. Not even with a selected edit of a MTG speech. Not even if the Progs behind a third rate unfunny "comedy" show like The Daily Show authorize it.

I'd sure like to know what you're talking about. Specifically. What political experience did Reagan have before he was elected Governor? Are you thinking being President of the Screen Actor's Guild qualifies him to be Governor of California? Remember that woman who played The Nanny on television? She's your next Governor of California then, I guess. But for a better laugh list me out all these Joe Biden successes of yours. Making sure Hunter had the cash to support his drug habit maybe? I can't think of much after that.

I prefer the term Demographic shift. But yeah, if you're determined to ignore the obvious then it would surprise you that different groups would interpret it different to support their cause. For example a Democrat believes he's bringing in supporters and he thinks that's great. A republican doesn't like that particularly when existing immigration laws are ignored to bring in replacement Democrat voters. A globalist likes the idea of erasing borders to put things under a central control. A capitalist likes the idea of cheap labor. A KKK guy wants to scare you with the idea of losing your culture and history. They all want to point out different corners of the same truth. Demographics are changing. And you would prefer to do the 3 monkeys thing with hands over your ears, eyes and mouth. Different strokes, I guess.

The point is both the left and the right acknowledge demographics are changing and the Euro one is fading. The difference is the political left encourages it. They boast about it. They believe it advances their cause. Even if their followers often feign indifference the fact remains the "great replacement theory" can be noticed by anybody who chooses to look. The demographic change is obvious. I continue to suggest that's why you're missing it.

Oh, and I'd have to go back and check but didn't the effort to push this thread off track begin when on of you as RR tried suggesting there was some sort of sanctity to Obama proclaiming his candidacy by incorrectly claiming it was first announced on the same steps Lincoln denounced slavery. I can't remember the reply but if I'd been the first to see that I'd point out the obvious flaw in that baited remark. Lincoln was a Republican. Obama looking for a little stolen valor by introducing a bogus Lincoln comparison.

If I want to, Mikey, I can convince myself Canadian demographics are changing by going to the mall. But as a progressive you wouldn't understand that. It relies on observing the obvious. That talent is something you have to leave at the door when you enter Progdom. But yeah, Republicans, Democrats the EU and the KKK will all notice how demographics are changing and when convenient point out the bits of that obvious truth that helps their cause.
