  1. Completely agreed. But it does bode well for the Conservatives. Seems like a lot of people who would never have voted for 'scary' Harper are opening their minds ... and liking what they see in the Conservatives.
  2. I don't understand what "betrays" means in the way you use it. The Liberals have already gone on record that they are going to run a negative campaign, so why should the Conservatives run clean? "Classless imbecile" - nice. That is bound to raise the level of debate.
  3. Did they double-dog dare him? Who gives a f**k if Martin's lawyers sent a letter to Harper?
  4. I don't think winning the election would be bad in any sense for the Conservatives. The country will definitely be better off with Paul Martin out of politics.
  5. So the Conservatives are definitely in minority territory now. A mere four point lead for the Liberals means a Conservative minority given the number of votes cast for the Liberals in Quebec, with very little chance to win. Hello PM Harper! Poll link. 23% support for the Liberals in Quebec?
  6. I hear you and agree to a point. There is still a lot of membership in both the Provincial and Federal wings of the Liberal party. Still, when I come across two polls with such drastically different numbers for B.C. I am gonna stick with the one that has more of a basis in history...
  7. All the spending promises help the Conservatives. When they offer deeper tax cuts - the Liberals will ask "Where is the money coming from?" The easy answer, by cancelling your pre-election shopping spree....
  8. I personally don't think it was a smart thing to say. That being said he has done everything right since then. It wasn't that bad a thing to say and apologizing would have made Harper look like Martin's b*tch. Better to let it slowly fade away, which it appears to have done...
  9. That number made me blink as well. This poll gives the Conservatives 13 More points in BC than the Ekos poll does. I also found the 43% number a little fishy because it has been *32 years* since the Liberals even broke 30% in a Federal Election in BC. What has happened in BC in the past 17 months to cause the Liberals to gain over 14 points there? Robbins Poll
  10. You could provide a more accurate title. The poll basically means that the Liberals are a couple points back from where they started in 2004. We all know how that one turned out. Looks like the Liberals and CPC are trading support in Ontario and BC from the last go round. Better to do well in "vote-rich" Ontario me thinks.
  11. Good point, but Harper's communications team has to get better with the talking points. That was clearly a comment that shouldn't have been included.
  12. No sense disarming a bomb that has already gone off. Best to just let this one fade away and make sure he doesn't repeat the organized crime line again.
  13. Harper did go too far. That said, I think Martin "demanding" an apology is sad. How about paying back that $1.14 Million as a start....
  14. Ralphie is around as long as he wants to be, but is leaving early. I honestly think this shows how sad a state the Liberals are in. Klein spoke honestly, but wasn't trying to sandbag Harper. If this is all they are pinning their hopes on, hello PM Harper!
  15. Perhaps you could try and represent Klein's statements accurately? Nah..... Klein never said that Harper was unfit to run the country. He was asked if thought Harper was going to win, and he said no. Nice try, yet another lie from a Liberal.
  16. Are you going to educate us with specific examples of what was absurd amongst what was said?
  17. I'm thinking you are misguided. If the Liberals were to ignore this motion, again, they would definitely face the wrath of the public.
  18. Because you don't want. Much easier for you to fight the Phantom Menace than to actually read their platform and try and dispute it. Sad, sad, sad....
  19. Thank you, thank you very much.
  20. Because the Government in Alberta returns money to the people of the province instead of funnelling it to the party apparatus. No difference there at all.
  21. I don't know if this is such a big deal at all. Basically he was telling the truth. Wasn't the big story in the 2004 election that the Conservatives were on their way to victory until the electorate (i.e. middle-ground Ontario voters) saw them getting ready to govern and asked them to step back. This is not a bad thing Klein has done. Maybe those persuadables who chose the Liberals at the last minute will pick the Conservatives at the last minute this time around and we will finally get a new government in Ottawa. I liked McKay's reaction to it. Something about duct-taping Klein's mouth...
  22. Has anyone heard his name pronounced as "Fitty Cent" by a journalist? Wouldn't that be correct as it is his preferred pronunciation?
  23. There are ways to deal with the problem that don't infringe on the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Are there any liberals left in the Liberal Canada of Party?
  24. It should affect me only when it is demonstrably obvious that doing so is in the best interest of society. I don't think you can say that about 50 cent.
  25. Anybody who "glorifies violence" is worse than someone who has literally encouraged people to kill innocent civilians. wtf?
