There is the rub. The Liberals arrogance is losing them this election.

Harper's Missile Mindlessness Would Waste Billions

It's funny how you can post a totally misleading title and completely ignore the issue. Why would any Canadians care if billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars are wasted on missile defence? -
Harper's Missile Mindlessness Would Waste Billions
shoop replied to River_God's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Gotta like the title of this thread. Oh yeah, that is billions of US taxpayer money. Canada won't pay a dime into the deal. -
It would be really nice if changing font size and colours could be disabled. Some of the posts WITH BIG LETTERS AND WILD COLOURS ARE REALLY ANNOYING TO READ

Paul Martin doesn't deserve this...
shoop replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Kimmy, I haven't really followed much of what Sheila Copps has been saying, but you are pretty far off on Kinsella. Kinsella's blog It is clear that Kinsella despises the Martinites. He has been surprisingly cordial about the Conservative campaign to date. Praising Harper and the Conservative war room. He definitely doesn't think Martin will resign quickly. Martin clinging to power is the best thing that could happen to a Conservative minority. It will give them a nice solid time to govern. -
Here is what I can't understand. Are you just perpetuating the Liberal line or do you honestly believe this crap? When it comes to *what you have heard*, where do you get your news from? CBC? Toronto Star? G&M? Do you read any sources that aren't anti-CPC? The Martinites are so focused on winning power for the sake of it they have NOTHING positive to say about anybody they see as an *enemy*, including many in their own power. This incestuous behaviour has lead to the groupthink that creates the arrogance of Scott *beer and popcorn* Reid. This arrogance is what is losing the election for you guys. Keep it up.

The element of the Conservative plan Liberals conveniently ignore is the 125,000 employer-sponsored spaces that will be created.

Why we must prevent Harper from becoming PM
shoop replied to emailforcanada's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The Prime Minister of Canada should be held to a higher standard. I like the despicable smear. Martinites just don't get it. Such histrionics only makes them look bad. Of course CSL is fair game. Why wouldn't it be? You really don't understand why you are losing this election. To any and all Liberals honestly answer this question. If it were Harper's company, would it be fair game for the Liberals to use it? Or would it be despicable? -
Here are seat projections based on the SES Research results released last night. CPC 127 seats LPC 100 BQ 51 NDP 30 Numbers are basically holding. Slight upward movement for the CPC.
-
How would this result in a constitutional crisis? A clear CPC majority is just that.
-
Maybe you just need to quit preaching from their hymnbook. The NDs aren't constantly attacking the CPC this election, neither are the BQ or the Greens. Thus, it is pretty easy to accept you as a Liberal. (P.S. Still waiting for your evidence of a civil war in the CPC.) ETA for the sake of consolidating under one thread, let's continue here.

Harper looking good; Martin looking frazzled

The Canadian Liberals consider themselves neocons? -
Typicl Martinite arrogance. That, my friend, is why you are losing this election. Do I detect a hint of anger in your posts? Frustration? Inability to grasp why you are losing this election?

Harper looking good; Martin looking frazzled

Hmmm, not using it as a *bogeyman term* in the same post you say the CPC *will* lie and cry. Would *lie and cry* be a bogeyman phrase? -
Paul Martin doesn't deserve this...
shoop replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It was a little over the top. Oh can't do that. Because Liberals never ever back down, they see it as a sign of weakness when othe parties behave rationally and don't always defend the most outrageous sayings of anyone in their party. What kind of an Official Leader of the Opposition will Paul Martin make? -
Let's see. shady and BQ supporter had my back on this one. How many would be a lot? "Grain of truth" - beautiful line. There is more than a grain of truth in the fact that the Liberals are desperate because they are losing this election 15 days out. Go for the Hail Mary with the last debates. That is all you can really hope for.

Politicians change policies over time as circumstances require. All of the CPCs policies are on their web site. Why not take the time to attack those instead of something a decade old? Or is it that you agree with the current CPC policies? Neo-con and neo-fascist are reactionary phrases to instill fear of a hidden agenda. Nothing more.
-
*IF* that strategy would work. Why aren't they using it?
-
What denial? I am saying that he believes in what he says and does here and now. Why not dig back to Martin's flip flops on Iraq, SSM and ballistic missile defence? Martin has done what was needed to get him elected. A minority Conservative government will face a lot of constraints from this so-called *hidden agenda*.

bakunin, I think I heard that the publisher is moving up the release day for the book to Monday. The Liberals are losing this election by a thousand paper cuts. Options Canada is just another one. Only 15 more days till the election. What can they do to turn it around?
