Are you really that in favour of objectivity? Were you saying that in 2000 when the wolfpack descended on Stock Day? Or 2004 when they attacked Harper? Interesting to hear Liberals whining about the media.
-
The CPC and NDP are getting a lot of entertainmen value out of them.

Martin no longer the Darling of the Media

Dude, in that same *admission* I said I watch the National half the time and go to the CBC Web site a couple times a day. Don't ever recall that leading to *not knowing what is going on now*. Man your distortion of the facts is as sad as the Liberals. Good for those hosts you listened to though. Come on shoop, you admitted you don't listen to the CBC so you don't know what is going on now. I just heard two hosts on the CBC radio afternoon show ridicule the Liberals and say that they find the Liberal attempts to demonize Harper to be pretty absurd. -
The NDP have ZERO chance of getting more seats than the BQ. No scenario for that to work out.
-
Wells is a funny dude. Makes some very good points. Not necessarily a Conservative supporter, but no fan of the Liberals either.
-
Look how far back the Liberals had to go for the speech Martin attempted to hammer at. Since that speech Martin has flipped on: BMD SSM Iraq Changing views isn't exclusive to Harper...

Martin speech- Harper seriously on the ropes !

To which leader was she referring? Martin or Harper? -
Granted, but why has this campaign started? Martin made zero attempt to reach out to the Chretienite's after the putsch. He screwed over Copps in her nomination fight. Thanks to the work of Mike Klander amongst others. Maybe if Martin had been a little more magnanimous, and a little less arrogant, after getting into the PMO he wouldn't be in such an awkward position this time around.

There is still the CBC to contend with shakey. Besides, that is an American term. Come on get with the program, oh that's right you will be getting with the Employment Insurance Programme once the Liberals get turfed out. Only people on Liberal payrolls are still supporting them at this point. -
Nice reasoning shakey. Maybe we want to go forward with an honest government? No wonder the Liberals are tanking with such ridiculous thinking. Obviously not you, but we are getting awfully close to enough votes for a majority CPC government.
-
Why? Because they said it? Why not check out elections canada then?
-
I hope you are right, but I don`t think it is likely. If it it backfires it will be because of the really offensive ad that has already been pulled. May just get buried in the clutter of news surrounding the French debate though.
-
All of his contributors have been named. Dig through the files yourself. www.elections.ca Are you vying for understatement of the year? Harper is so far right he's hitting the curb pal, thats what happens when Extreme Religious groups fund your campaign**** *** assuming so, why else wouldn't he state who his benefactors are?

Scrapping notwithstanding clause... total stupidity

It was a trap that Harper skillfully avoided. Arguing there is a need for a balance was a great thing. He was reasoned in saying it and didn`t come across as extreme at all. -
Harper killed Last Night, Welcome Mr. Prime Minister
shoop replied to SamStranger's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I am not as big a booster as Sam, but I think Harper did as best as could be expected. He didn`t lose any votes, and did enough to keep the momentum moving in his direction. btw how weak is your stomache that *spicy* lasagna could make it churn? -
One of them has already been pulled. These guys cannot win for losing. All twelve Liberal english attack ads.
-
The Liberal "Choose your Canada" campaign ads are already another sign of bad decision making by the Liberal campaign *braintrust*. There were originally 12 different English ads posted to the LPC web site. In the *hours* since they have already pulled one of them. Thankfully CTV has already archived it. All twelve Liberal attack ads. It is the ad called "Liberal attack ad about Harper and military presence." Wow, these guys cannot get anything right.
-
My guess is these ads will reverse enough votes to stop a Conservative majority. Call it a win if you will, but the Liberals will definitely gain ground as a result. (Or at least stop the hemorrhaging.)
-
I left nutty bush for scary Harper ?
shoop replied to USA_Liberal's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The Canadian values thing is a laugh. Harper responded to it very well. -
These ads definitely are hard hitting. The big question is will they be enough? Either people will continue listening to the Conservatives policy-driven campaign, or they will turn back to the Liberals. Two weeks to get comfortable with a Conservative government may have been two weeks too many for the Liberals...
-
The TV ads are just as bad. Fortunately it seems a little late in the game for that.
-
Would that be like the increased number of free votes in parliament that Martin promised in the last election but never got around to implementing? Seriously, attacking the Conservatives for supposedly stifling candidates is a ludicrous charge from the Liberals.
-
The time for Liberal attacks has gone. All the can do is use TV ads which have been sadly ineffective for them so far. The debate was far from the knock out blow for any party. Not good for the Liberals the way the campaign has been going. Harper had to look Prime Ministerial. He did. Now it will be very tough for the Liberals to pull this one out of the fire. Anytime somebody compares the race to 2004, as a prelude to saying how the Liberals will win this race, remind them of this. In 2004 the CPC lead for about three minutes before scary-scary-scary kicked in and nervous nellies ran back to the Liberals. This go round the CPC has held front runner status for almost two weeks and have continuted to go up. Buh bye poor Mr. Dithers... Buh bye.
-
TEN BUCKS on a lawn sign. Where the hell did you pull that number from? Less than a buck would be more realistic. You have never been around a campaign of any kind. Have you? Guess that means 400 YEARS for a billion dollars on lawn signs in Canada and the U.S.
