It's a complex issue, many wokes are clearly antisemites as well as people on the far right, despite being quite well paid for the activism they do. Also, I think the language is important here. When you're talking about guerrilla groups, are you meaning that these demonstrations on a weekday at working hours is guerrilla warfare, rather than a moral panic protest at worst?

The anti-woke movements in Canada don't have a leader or really someone representing the movement for many, so you see people in the streets who are basically the reflection of the average voter and average person, not someone who's been trained to speak to media. Plus, they do it on a week day during working hours. The woke movements, on the other hand, receive public funding, are well organized and have many media trained personalities to spread the ideology. The average person doesn't do well when it comes to dialoguing about politics or expressing their values. It's a reflection of our society. Many anti-wokes have many different reasons to congregate together, from many walks of life. Funnily enough, the association between the far right and muslims is really a surprise. If you said a few months ago that Muslims and the far right in Canada would be on the same side for a societal issue and would hold demonstrations together, you'd be called a kook too.

Nobody is indoctrinating anybody's kid, ever, about gender ideology folks. (see exhibit above) This picture was taken in Countryside Village Public School, in Brampton, allegedly from an ex-teacher in Ontario who witnessed this board. I especially like the term "Aromatic", I thought it was a flavor of some sort. When an ideology gets too far, it's like a rubber band, it widens up until it breaks. This is preposterous from the Left Wing. It's not useful in any way for the learning of the students. They'd be better off teaching maths, english, history, etc. rather than this.

Exactly. The Indian democracy has deep flaws, one being that ethnic groups really vote for their ethnic party rather than a national party uniting them all. That, and the fact that there are so many discrepancies throughout regions when it comes to education, income, sanitation, that it is unlikely that many in the slums have the same access to voting but also to knowledge in general. A society where a majority earns less than $300 a month might not make the most enlightened democratic political choice compared to one with higher income, education, etc. Modi was literally on a terrorist watch list and banned from flying to the US due to his encouragement of riots/killings of minorities in the 2000s. Is he trustworthy?

There are legitimate causes which require masking up and covering up one's face. When you deal with a tyrannical government, when you are fighting a cause in which you might lose everything by being recognized, it's normal to act like that. But this kind of behavior is purely cowardice. No one is in danger from these protesters who are expressing their opinions about gender. I just wish that people who are demonstrating will not be cowards themselves and would defend themselves if attacked by the activist groups who seem to have impunity to assault from many police departments across Canada.

The issue with the way the State runs things is that they decided, without planning a little bit, to have 1 million more people a year in Canada with little to no additional infrastructure. Now we have to accelerate State spending on Immigration, we can't cut the number of public employees because there is too much demand that is artificially created. The Liberals didn't increase immigration for no reason; many in the GTA and big cities vote Liberals as they see the value of their properties skyrocket because of said increase in demand through immigration. It is simple, the Liberals bet on the middle class-wealthy people in rich urban neighborhoods to win, as those who live there control many corporations, the media and many ways to shadow-finance political campaigns. The issue is that it will bite these landlords/homeowners in the ass so hard. Taxes will increase, GDP per capita is stagnating and even going down and the quality of services offered by the State goes drastically down. If you're not a homeowner/landlord, you're a loser in today's canadian economy, except if you were able to get a huge raise the past few years or have your own little business.

An article from 2013: https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2013/12/narendra-modi-the-man-most-likely-to-be-india-s-next-prime-minister-is-banned-from-traveling-to-america.html Narendra Modi, PM of India, was banned from traveling to the US during the Bush administration and was on a terrorist watchlist. Talk about irony.

And it's still an identity, still an ethnic group that has endured a lot of discrimination. I truly do not know where you're getting at right now. An independence movement can be legitimate, and the fact that you called the victim of a State sponsored murder a terrorist just because he supports independence is just wrong. Canada did not recognize him as a terrorist. On April 2018, the RCMP detained him for a day and found absolutely nothing. He was an enemy of the Indian State yes, because of his views. But a terrorist, no. Saying that Canada is a harbour of terrorism is nuts. That's an accusation India has to prove, and India can not kill Canadians on our soil because they feel like they should.

The problem in this case is that India is trying to be an empire AND has a super weird caste system. It's not an issue that Sikhs want independence. If you were a minority in India and you were mistreated and you rebelled, you would be a what so called terrorist too. Point 1 - It's not like they have been going more inclusive over time, especially with Modi. Point 2 - The Indian subcontinent as a whole is super violent and super caste-esque. What you're criticizing about Sikhs can be said about Indians. How many Sikhs have died because of the conquests and occupation by the Hindus?

It's been awhile since I started reading about geopolitics, History, etc. There has always been a trend since the 2000s; many experts from any given year repeats that India will be the next superpower... but only by the next 10 years. And in each decade, the 10 years is delayed to another 10 years. I call it the country with the eternal potential, because it never concretizes itself, as this country has always found a way to shoot itself in the foot, no matter the circumstance. Maybe ostracizing a huge chunk of your own population has something to do with it. But good news, they installed toilets in many homes now. There seems to be some progress, in some areas, sometimes.

Czechoslovakia split and there was not even a single drop of blood. It made both countries, Czech Republic and Slovakia, both richer, safer and it protected their identity. It's when one party wants to control the other and forces the domination that it creates issues. In this case, Hindus in India want to dominate the Sikhs, and guess what, the union is as bad or may be worse as if there was a separation. A terrorist for one is a hero or a martyr for another.

A year later, my theory still stands. Iran has way more support from its population than what our media showed. For every demonstration against the regime, you get a counter-protest for the regime. That's what isn't reported on CBC or any of our western media. Many, many Iranians support the regime because the regime is able to first use Islam as a political tool (which unites many) and because the regime can say that outsiders are the real danger, as the regimes from other countries try to overthrow the iranian government. Theocratic-nationalist dictatorships work. You may not like to read that, but we're not in La La Land. That's why North Korea still maintains its grip on its people too. These regimes are weird admixtures of Theocracy and Nationalism.

So there was nothing to talk about back in September, when a teacher was literally showing tits and displaying odd behaviours in front of minor students? But now that it is proven that the teacher tried to lure and made child pornography himself, should we be concerned, or would Trudeau Sr (you ?) disagree?
-
And there we go; HCDSB teacher arrested on child pornography charges https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/hamilton/child-predator-teacher-hcdsb-1.6706487 --- Case closed. The teacher should go to jail if it is proven. Many, many people in this thread and in society in general had absolutely no red flags raised after a teacher was showing inappropriate behaviours/bodyparts to minors.

I agree with your points, but there is also a big disparity between the haves and the have nots in California, I think it's where in the US there are the biggest homeless camps/slums. 151,278 declared as homeless, about one-fifth of the homeless population in total in America. California weighs around 11% of the total US population. Overcrowded and very much dependent on big corporations. It is though a place where many brains flock to, like you mention, and is overall a good State. Calling it the dumbest State is quite strange to be honest.

I really wonder as well what is the real take on the veil from Iranian women. I mean, yes there is really an oppression from society to make them wear the veil, but is it really forced or are the Iranian people more likely brainwashed by their families from the very beginning of their lives and not really against it in general? And do these women agree with forcing other women wearing it? It think we shouldn't be surprised to see many Iranian women for enforcing the hijab to other women.
