  1. It's hard to be 100% sure, but in this angle you can see him go behind the teammate of Adam Johnson and then instead of going forward with the upper body went with his left foot up to hit him. He tripped after initiating a movement upwards with his left foot, this seems to be like he wanted to hit with the skate. (Graphic) The link for the video is here; https://videos.marca.com/v/0_ol2gdp4e-graphic-video-former-nhl-player-adam-johnson-died-after-accidentally-cutting-his-throat-with-skate?count=0 I don't think it is murder but it could well be manslaughter, from the angle. It looks like that but we would need different angles to confirm what happened, because this was such an odd movement for a hockey player to make in that situation.
  2. I except a return of right wing McCarthyism in less than a decade. I except a return of right wing McCarthyism in less than a decade.
  3. It's also that the demographic that relies the most on this food is; 18-44 years old, working class with full time jobs, according to Food Banks. I don't think they would go there if they had the means to. I mean, I don't go there... Would you if you had the money to pay for food? You have forms to fill, you have to prove inability to pay for your bills, it's a process out there to get food from those food banks.
  4. According to articles written by the CBC and also CityNews, the word relying was used.
  5. The fact that a person lost its income because she dared to speak out against the Leftist doctrine of gender is nasty. No one should lose its job because of an opinion about gender, if it's not derogatory or harrassment. The abuse of power used right now by the Left will be grounds for the Right to do the same. it has been the case in the past, by the way. You will hate what will happen next.
  6. The number of homeless people sleeping in metro stations in Montreal is continuously increasing. Every week I go to the office downtown, it seems like there is one more person sleeping on the floor of the metro station added to the others who were already there the weeks before. It's even tougher in other cities than in Montreal apparently. And what you said about renovictions is so true. I'm very glad to be able to afford a rent increase and to be able to be a homeowner starting next year, but not everyone has had my luck. I started sending more and more cans of non perishable food to the organizations in my neighborhood who help the hungry, I might start voluntary work on the week ends.
  7. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/one-in-10-torontonians-now-rely-on-a-food-bank-1.7027318 --- Canada's economy is not doing good. The food is too expensive, the Internet/Phone plans are too expensive, rent/housing is too expensive. Salaries are stagnant. Now, 10% of those living in Toronto rely on food banks to feed themselves. Has it ever been this bad 8 years ago?
  8. Once again, you're very confused and my point is very clear. The pay increase for the elected officials was preposterous and the offer given to actual workers is underwhelming to say the least.
  9. If Quebec elected the FLQ instead of the PQ, would it be only Canada's fault?
  10. You seem very confused. What exactly is your point?
  11. What in the Hell did you smoke
  12. Do you sincerely view Hamas as a just party to rule the Gaza strip? What have been the results since 2006?
  13. And those who are worth more for society are Teachers, Nurses and public employees. Not the fat pigs that are elected and receive a pension after only 6 years, which can be added on top of their private pension plan from their past or future career. 30% in a year for MPs is the last thing we needed in Quebec, this is very cynical and opportunistic from the CAQ who are losing ground in almost every county.
  14. The Greens seem to suspiciously score high in those polls, I would discard those polls.
  15. This was a South Park episode a few years ago. This is now the western world as a whole. When the politial pendulum will swing, it will be nasty for the Leftists.
  16. The average person with an actual human brain knows that in countries like Sweden, spending a few hundred euros too much on a dinner with tax dollars for a politician can break its career. Systems are different everywhere, and ours has a big flaw; we allow too much corruption as a nation, and not only on the federal level. There is the potential to do better, by correcting the system, which is broken. We could for example have a dedicated permanent anti-corruption RCMP unit that would be funded extremely well to replace the Ethics Commission which in my book is a total farce.
  17. You lost me there, in the sense that I don't get what you meant.
  18. Breaches of ethics always lead to someone getting enriched through means it's not supposed to, right?
  19. The thing is that he debates the validity of the the distinction between 'breaches of ethics' and 'corruption'. These two seem to be intertwined for both him and myself too. May you elaborate on how they differentiate?
  20. Welfare and entitlements are not the way to go, except for those who need it, of course, like the handicaped and the elderly. The abolition of the racist "Indian" Status ( I still can't believe this status exists to this day, with this name ) and tax breaks for the poor at large in Canada would work alongside spending in Schools and doing a Marshall plan to build infrastructure such as aqueducts that would be used by the Natives up North could be a much better way to make sure Natives have a future for those who live in those villages we call reserves.
  21. Is there any moderation on this forum? I mean, drinking in moderation should be enough for ExFlyer, but I mean generally, is it possible to make sure a thread does not derail because of only one troll in general?
  22. https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/substance-use/get-help-with-substance-use.html Please consult. Now let the thread resume for those who are not totally drunk.
  23. Boot-licking troll, which argument have you presented except falsehoods and insults in the few posts you've made a fool out of yourself in this thread?
  24. Your question is a red herring. It doesn't have to be JT to profit personally to be corruption. Abuses of power and corruption that ensues can enrich allies of the government, an entity, a family member, the party, even an ideology, etc. The Canadian people are the victim of corruption at the highest levels of the government, and you tell those who complain to stop playing the victim? Once again, you're the chicken defending the KFC menu.
