building Chinese cars here in Canada....
paxamericana replied to Army Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
China should have never been a manufacturing hub. Their supply of peasant labor is ending after 50 years of one child. That’s on top of their energy scarcity So laugh all you want Canuck, it won’t change reality. -

Uh huh, who are you going to turn to? You live on the North American continent. You don’t have the market access to wider world, you think other countries don’t have a milk market as protectionist as you!? Don’t be petulant and naive. -

No because the globalist have begun to see the truth. Toyota CEO says the company "will not survive" production in China, "unless things change." -

Petulant little brothers you Canadians are. That’s baked in, there is a transition period yes. The net effect remains the same foreign direct investment in China has slowed to a trickle. Businesses are still offshoring production out of China. How about you get with the program and help in the family business? Canada needs infrastructure development and can play a huge part in the American industrial build out. Become the raw commodity processing giant you can be with your excess hydro. The North American hemisphere will replace the Chinese as the next manufacturing power house.Quit wasting our time with your Canadian petulant habit. -
Yes life is suffering but it doesn’t need to be meaningless. Wouldn’t you want to reduce the pointless suffering? Why not get your self together and be a force for good. Become an asset to those around you, a light in the darkness. Don’t be a naive optimist instead, with your eyes wide open confront the malevolent evils and suffering that are abundant and live a life of adventure. That’s a much more powerful creed to live by than the nihilistic view.

Not as much as we used to in the past and it’s for strategic reasons. Did Biden remove those tariff on Canadian steel and aluminum? Did he? Yeah I get being a petulant little brother to the American but don’t get in our National Security interest, it won’t turn out well for Canada, or any country that does. -

Uh huh, you sure you want to find out what America is going to do about it? You saying we don’t? It’s not advisable to get friendly with the Chinese. That’s how you got on America’s shit list in the first place. Doubling down won’t help you. Your original sin is believing Canada is a sovereign nation. It is not. You are a unincorporated territory of America. So behave. It’s not like we want to exchange family pleasantry with you. -
Trump's Threat Worked - Iran Caved
paxamericana replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
We really do not have a strategic reason to be foes with Iran all things considered. It’s in Iran best interest to ally themselves to the United States as they have been in the past. The jihadist and other Cold War anti American factions got complacent. The calculus has changed, Russia and China are a waning power, it’s best to cozy up to the Americans in the foreseeable future. Be it Syria, Cuba Venezuela and now Iran. -

We have gas, the others won’t. Having something at 4$ a gallon is a lot more than having nothing at 10 cent a gallon. So for the low low price of 30% rise in fuel cost, America gets to be the only shining hill and safe harbor for capital flight, investment and consumption lead economy. I’m okay with that. Here’s a list of countries with outages and rationing. And while we’re here, should have sent us some ships like we asked and negotiated a free trade deal for yourselves(the anti Trump ideots missed a golden opportunity for reproachment) , @John Stone https://www.thetimes.com/business/companies-markets/article/oil-fuel-shortages-risk-countries-iran-war-w3xfk5j3m -

They’re but pawns. The real winner is the USA. Without low energy input, Asian manufacturing model falls apart. The same applies to Europe. Guess who isn’t affected? The American sphere. -

You sure about that? -
No the damage has already been done. Gulf state production is already damaged and lost pre war capacity. Even if the fighting stops today. It’ll take at least a few years to bring production capacity back to pre war levels. The smashing has already occurred. The question is wether or not it gets worse and for how long.

I don’t think you deadbeats understand America’s real interest. We’re in the business of country smashing, we are not nation building. It’s in the petrol dollar interest that the entire Middle East blows it self up. If Iran want to destroy their neighbors to lash out then good, they’re doing America’s job for us. There is no leverage on America for Iran to make a deal. Trump is only entertaining it for the euro deadbeat’s interest, out of the kindness of his big American heart. Ingratitude won’t help you deadbeats. It’s America that is holding Iran hostage. Oh and save me your moral indignation, I know where you’re going to invest your money at the end of the day.

Trump to jail downed jet leaker?
paxamericana replied to paxamericana's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Is it suppression though in this context? That’s a safety risk for the downed airman. A perfectly reasonable expectation of secrecy. What would blasting the news of a down airman do in public interest especially when he is in hiding! -
Sounds like reasonable expectation in a war time situation; which we are in. Especially if that leak directly endangers the lives of our armed forces. In the case of leaking the airman being downed, that information should have been kept secret until he was recovered. The leaking source is not immune to prosecution in the first amendment. Now the news journalists could still be prosecuted under the Espionage Act for releasing information that aided the enemy. But first amendment defense is steep for the publication outlet and journalist. At best would result in a fine.

Okay globalist, hate the only successful world police harder. You speak like a spoiled brat from first world. Go live in a third world hell hole and see how that international law works for you.
