  1. Gawdddd damn did trump just sold out his own team? He's going to be out of the office pretty quick if he keeps this crap up. I support his policies but I don't support him loud mouth bashing of America. Nothing patriotic about this. If he's complaining about previous foreign policy then fair enough. But if he's not doing his civic duty to protect and defend american interest as president then impeachment is what he'll get.
  2. Meh, there's going to be critics and trump knows meeting putin is a huge political gamble. Both GOP and Democrats disapprove of it. But i think the risk is worth it of we can work a deal with russia over the middle east.
  3. Its probably a cup holder... I'm not too worried as long as its nothing vital. There's plenty of foreign chinese investment in real estate of canada and the us...
  4. If you worry about putin then pay more for nato. Don't expect us to spend more. Maybe we'll help putin who knows muahahahaha
  5. Wrong again Jim. That's a misperception of veterans. Stop treating them like damaged goods. We like killing those who think women are slaves and don't need education. We don't subscribe to victim hood like you liberals.
  6. Lols yeah okay, while we're at it lets give them the know how to make nuclear weapons too. China stole it...
  7. The corps are only pawns they go where its cheapest. If you rig a system to encourage intellectual property theft and subsidize production for export then yeah most producer would want to move to china.its called predatory Economics.
  8. It comes down to control. Best way to sumarize the Millitary is that they are the last 600 meter of your foreign policy. Is Canada willing to give up its foreign policy and relinquish control of its own fate/future? Further more I would say that isolationist attitude is what started world war 2 and ukriane. Complacency, naively believing that without militaries the world will be a safer place. If you live in the free world and want to past that priveledge down to the next generation then I invite you to chip in your buck o five to freedom.
  9. Hmmm lets clarify it now. Helping china integrate to the world order is good. Countering china's excessive/illegal territorial claim and predatory economics are a necessity.
  10. Could you clarify where I'm contradictory?
  11. We are way more fair, we bully everyone. >_<
  12. Lols i can sense the hate. Helping China rise is the right thing to do, however, Trump is trying to level the playing field for Americans, one in which our "allies" as well as our competitor have been taking advantage of. Trade and defence are two areas of imbalance one in which we Americans feel as though we were a charity. "It's good to understand the difference. Otherwise you look like an idiot."
  13. China's rise if managed properly is of great benefit to the world and for the US. Mexico is better off today then they were 10 or 20 years ago. Same as china. America doesn't believe in a zero sum game. But we do believe in a rule based order, one that is fair for all nation. Trump is merely re-establishing this balance to be more fair for americans. If you don't have a sense of humor then that's your loss.
  14. The new world order is nothing new. It is just a rule based order established since ww2. We need this rule based order to avoid another major conflict and keep the peace. China and Russia thinks it can bully its neighbor because they are bigger and are therefore more important. What the US try to do is bring both countries back into compliance and play by the rules. One in which it should be fair for all. I'm a die hard american I support what ever is in America's interest. Maintaining world peace is just a subset of interest that America has.
  15. Well the math is simple, either go into deficit or see this generation as the last generation of free westerners.
  16. Our only objective with Russia is the middle east and Afghanistan. Other than that, they are competitors. If Russia however did magically give up its claim of Ukraine and decides to join NATO then that would be one step closer to a one world order. China would be all that is left but even then China is slowly westernizing. This is why the US did not try to stop China's rise. We see a democratic China, one that is fully integrated with the rule based order would be much more beneficial to the world.
  17. Oh no we're just pointing out the irony of politician being somehow morally upright. Trump is no politician he can ass-grab all he wants as far as I'm concern. It must be frustrating, criticizing someone's morality who never claimed to be morally upright to begin with... unlike your boy Trudeau.
  18. Someone has been drinking that Russian coolaid... Russia subjugate neighboring countries and if you want evidence look at Georgia, Ukraine, and ESPECIALLY Chechnya. Plenty of human rights violation all around including their own people. Last I checked most America's enemies human rights aren't violated as much as Russia's own citizen. Russia lacks the economic and geopolitical power the US has when the soviet union collapsed.Obviously they don't carry the same capability as a true super power. You'd rather have China and/or Russia be the new world's police? Human rights are non existence on their agenda. So as much criticism you give to America think of the alternative. America never claimed to be perfect, we do the best we can. America stands for a rule based order where the strong doesn't take advantage of the weak. We follow the rule of law, the Russian and Chinese much prefer the strong taking advantage of the weak. Look at their foreign policy for their neighbors. Their foreign policy is imperialism. Naww I'll believe the CIA intelligence and Secretary of Defense James N Mattis over Russian news media any day of the week. How many advance NATO cruise missiles did they shoot down exactly with their old soviet S300? All of them or does that sound too much to be believable, nah lets say 70 odd something out of 100. Yup lets just make up figure out of no where and claim it news. Animal Assad track record on using chemical weapons ain't that great fyi.
  19. I think Russia's future is tied up with the rest of Europe why they seek to isolate themselves by attacking Ukraine seems counter productive.
  20. I think the important point is to have good feedback. A governing system needs this feedback mechanism and democracy definitely has a good feedback mechanism built in. Second you also need some sort of checks and balance so one governing body does not become a over bearing. I think your main criticism of democracy is just really bureaucracy and not so much democracy as an ideal. Bureaucracy plague all form of government, which by definition has to have bureaucracy. Some faster, some slower which is why you have the responsibility broken up into three governing bodies.
  21. Not if you paid hush money...
  22. Justin :" Yes I'm here for my 4 am with mr. Weinsteine..."
  23. "Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others" -Churchill
  24. Yeah but why can't canada help us follow said order even better. Oh wait i think Justin is doing that by not committing more defense spending on nato. What undermine nato more, words or lack of real commitment? Sounds like Canada and other nato deadbeat are doing putins job for him. The worse offender is germany. Funding russians with their energy dependency and lack of spending. If anything you should be thanking trump for raising these alarm bells. http://www.newsweek.com/trudeau-defies-trump-nato-summit-canada-refuses-increase-defense-spending-1017475
  25. Actually theres been talk in russia to use low yield nuclear weapons. The strategy is to escalate and then de-escalate. This is why we are re arming our nuclear force for low yield as well. https://www.npr.org/2018/05/07/609180810/pentagon-wants-to-deploy-low-yield-nuclear-weapons-to-deter-russia-from-similar-
