Could be. But the hospitals have been overwhelmed since Covid started. Maybe that brought the failing health care system to the media and everyone's attention. We never heard much about the problem before Covid. But now it is the centre of attention. Millions of people don't have their own doctor, emergency departments in several small places have been closing down at times. Long waiting lists for various urgent procedures, thousands of people dying on waiting lists. It is very tragic. I don't really think the politicians in charge of the system get it. The problem with a public system in a place like Canada, the way if fails to work properly can always be blamed on some other politician or some other level of government. Politicians are not the right people to be running the health care system but they do and have to provide enough money, which they don't.

I have been saying that liberals have been cozying up with China for ages, actually ever since Pierre Trudeau became PM and established diplomatic relations with China under Chairman Mao over 50 years ago. We don't know a fraction of what is going on between some liberals and China or what has been going on. We do know the influence of China in every level of Canadian society has been growing. Nothing surprises me anymore. Now Trudeau is fighting hard to avoid shedding light on what has been going on with the elections recently. The health care system is in a crisis according to many people. Reportedly at least five million people in Canada do not have a family doctor. I know once when I was visiting relative near Winnipeg about 15 years ago, I went to a walk-in clinic for some minor issue, it was very crowded with a small waiting area. I caught Norovirus there and was as sick as a dog that night. Politicians like to promise everything like a good public health care system, but these are the same politicians that spend billions of dollars on every other conceivable government social service anyone can think of. That means they end up not putting enough money into the public health care system. It has been getting worse for years. I don't see anything on the news that indicates they are going to really fix it. Aside from the lack of money being put into the system, I suspect the public health care system is being run poorly. I know many people don't have their own doctor and have to rely on a walk-in clinic or going to the emergency room for every issue. That is a poor way to run the system. The walk-in clinic is not a good place. People have to sometimes wait outside for an hour or more in a long lineup to be seen by one doctor. Lately they let them sit inside in a long hallway on chairs. The hospital ER is poorly run. Not enough doctors and patients sometimes have to wait six hours, maybe longer, to be seen. Maybe only one doctor on duty.

That should be enough reason to fire her. If not, the provincial laws need to be changed. Grooming children for LGBTQ ideology should be illegal.

If we reject the reality of God and make ourselves the judge of everything, we are only deceiving ourselves. We need to remember our place in the universe. We are as specks of dust and the Almighty God that created us is who we should be bowing to and respecting with every ounce of our being. If we think we know more than God, we are fools. According to Calvin's interpretation just in the titles of the sections, since Adam fell, we lost our free will and became totally corrupt in our thinking. That sadly might contribute to why humans think they are their own God and ignore the true God of the Bible. I say the Bible to distinguish the true God from the God of Islam or the Gods of Hinduism or Buddhism. There can be only one true God. Actually CTV is technically corporately-owned, but there is no difference between the CBC and CTV. CTV being dominant would not make much difference. What we need is less government control with the CRTC and more private TV stations. Don't forget government-controlled stations only give you the government narrative or politically correct narrative. One must ask why the CTV seems to only broadcast a politically correct narrative if it is private. Doesn't seem to be very much like an private independent station. There possibly are a growing number of stations just using the internet to broadcast because the internet is already there and it is free to use or very inexpensive. Even CBC is now using the internet solely for several programs. One I think is called CBC GEM. Many churches are broadcasting their weekly Sunday services on the internet. It is free and anyone anywhere can watch it. The truth is it would make no difference if we only had CTV and CBC was gone, except it would save the taxpayers billions of dollars. CTV wouldn't be any different than it is now if the CBC were gone. Just have twice as many viewers and possibly make more money and have some better programs. Right now, the number of viewers and revenue is divided up between two stations which are very similar. Did you notice some political hosts who worked for the CBC later went to work on CTV? I can think of two in last few years, Evan Solomon and Vassy Kapelos. This is a good argument for abolishing CBC.

That's true. Also, one of the problems is aboriginals claim vast areas as their "traditional territory". In B.C. the various bands claim the whole province as their traditional territory. Of course they claim natural resource development (oil, gas, forest industry) is on "their" land. The actual native reserves are small areas where they live. They don't actually live on the vast wilderness and mountainous areas that cover hundreds and thousands of square kilometres. In the past they were given hunting and fishing privileges because that is what they did historically as hunter-gatherers. But they have never lived in the past on natural resources like oil, natural gas, logging etc. other than using trees for local purposes in a very limited way. Natives do get hired by resource companies to actually work in the industry. This is fair. But what is happening now is the native bands are demanding and possibly receiving some kind of royalties for resource extraction on what they claim as their traditional lands in some cases, which cover the whole province. The Canadian government has already paid billions of dollars per year to support native bands. I believe the government pays for housing, water filtration plants, etc. and monthly support for each native. Plus they have special status cards which they use to be excused from paying certain taxes, etc. The monthly payments goes through band managers and councils I believe and there is little accountability. There have been cases of abuse of the money. Harper passed a law to create transparency and accountability, but the liberals abolished it. We are also seeing governments give special resource payoffs to aboriginals. Benefits such as royalties should go to the province which must provide health care and other services for everyone in the province, including natives. I don't think it is right to be paying them special payments that nobody else receives for resource development.

A court just reduced the sentence of a man who killed three mounties in Nova Scotia. They said in effect that 75 years is too long and he will be entitled to apply for parole after 25 years.
