Global Warming: Man-Made or Natural?
Goddess replied to Deluge's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I assure you, I spent a pretty fair amount of time on your points. And the points of others. Not the same amount of time I've spent researching medical studies and reading papers by virologists, epidemiologists, vaccinologists, etc for the covid scam. But yes, plenty of time. Here's my thing - both covid and climate are areas where insane amounts of money have been spent, to the point of almost no return for the world's economies. To the point of harm being done. With covid, the massive amount of money spent, the overreaction, the models that vastly overestimated and then were used to justify the massive overreaction, the scare tactics, the coercion, the falsification of data, the vicious censoring of anyone who questions or disagrees.....all of it.....I see the same thing happening with climate. Both are more than worthy of more than just a cursory glance. The (over?)reactions to climate will have massive implications, probably more so than the covid overreactions. As I said before - you are the one making extreme claims and proposing extreme solutions. The onus is on YOU to prove your points. At this point in time - I believe you've been "had". Like you were with covid. -

Nope. You're the one making extreme claims and proposing extreme solutions that are bankrupting everyone but the billionaires. The onus is on YOU to prove it. -

Well, I did read your link in your signature and it doesn't answer the points made in the YouTube. The YouTube addresses the massive amounts of dollars going into climate research and the corruption inherent in the process. So I guess if you only want others to read and address the info you provide, without giving them the same effort, then there's nothing to discuss. Enjoy your echo chamber. -
Global Warming: Man-Made or Natural?

Exactly. All getting paid by.......who? And what happens to their funding if they find........there is no crisis? Very few in any profession are brave enough to bite the hand that feeds them. Worth an hour of your time, if for no other reason than to maybe understand where some of us are coming from: -

I disagree with this, very much so. The last few years prove me right. Far too many were far too willing to trade freedom for an imaginary safety. Keep trading it away with every "crisis" they dream up and we never get it back. Not without bloodshed. The "conspiracy theorists" predicted climate lockdowns and well, here we are. It's begun. -

Th point is - the climate changes naturally. It has for billions of years. Humans either adapt or we don't. So far, we have, and I expect we will in the future. No need to give the billionaires all the money. -

So correlation is causation now, is it? Or just when it's convenient to your argument? To a climate scientist... Ice cream consumption leads to shark attacks. To combat shark attacks we need to reduce our global ice cream intake. Although I have evidence that sorbet is skewing the data. -
People like Aristedes et al, they remind me of how even after the incremental injustices and loss of rights of the Jews in Germany, even after all that, as they headed to the gas chambers, some were saying "Yay! They're going to let us shower." In reality, there is nothing the government can impose, take away or do that Aristedes, eyeball etc would not accept and justify. Weak men create hard times.

Wrong. Most people missed this because it was underwater and nobody died and we were getting pounded by covid mandates - but in Jan. 2022, an underwater Pacific Ocean volcano named Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai, 490 feet under the waves, massively erupted, bigger than any other modern eruption, even bigger than Mount Pinatubo. The erupting lava instantly vaporized unimaginable amounts of sea water, which billowed into the atmosphere, changing the water composition of Earth’s atmosphere and heating it up for years. In only a few days, the superheated water from the Hunga Tonga eruption blanketed the globe, pole to pole, East to West. The eruption was so big it could be clearly seen from space. Over the next year it would turn out that NASA badly underestimated the amount of water Hunga Tonga vaporized into the atmosphere. Current estimates are three times higher than the original: scientists now think it was closer to 150,000 metric tons, or 40 trillion gallons, of super-heated water instantly injected into the atmosphere. Talk about a greenhouse. Water vapor — humidity — is a much more effective greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. With a year’s hindsight, the 2023 researchers also concluded that Hunga Tonga was one of the most remarkable climate events in modern history, and its effects are expected to last for years: "Due to extreme altitude reach of the eruption, volcanic plume circumnavigated the Earth in only one week and dispersed nearly pole-to-pole in three months. The observations provide evidence for an unprecedented increase in the global stratospheric water mass by 13% as compared to climatological levels. As there are no efficient sinks of water vapour in the stratosphere, this perturbation is expected to persist several years. The eruption has also led to a 5-fold increase in the stratospheric aerosol load, the highest in the last three decades yet factor of 6 smaller than the previous major eruption of Mt Pinatubo in 1991. The unique nature and magnitude of the global stratospheric perturbation by the Hung eruption ranks it among the most remarkable climatic events in the modern observation era." These researchers were even more direct in connecting the “historic heat wave” to Hunga Tonga: "We find that the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai eruption produced the … largest perturbation of stratospheric water vapour observed in the satellite era. … after two weeks, due to dilution, water vapour heating started to dominate the top-of-the-atmosphere radiative forcing, leading to a net warming of the climate system… This is the first time a warming effect on the climate system has been linked to volcanic eruptions, which usually produce a transient cooling." Hunga Tonga warming could last five more years. Canada has an arson problem. From the 250 churches being burnt down, to various businesses and buildings, to deliberate brush fires being set, Canada has an arson problem. And this government's response to it is to curtail rights. It's their answer to everything, the only tool in their toolbox. They used it during covid, they're using it now. They do it because it's easy. They're lazy and stupid.

You get it. I realize this is quite a long interview that we just did at work, but if you skip ahead to about 45:10, the discussion gets interesting. At about 51:00 - Bret talks about "turnkey totalitarianism". "The key to a totalitarian regime is to erect it without activating it. So that at the point that it gets activated, it's too late to do anything about it.......Any time you see them target your rights - whether or not those were rights that you were using - you should be alarmed. You should fight it."

Is there anything a government could tell you to do that you would refuse to do? Or you just believe no matter what the government says, you would obey? I've long suspected that you are the type of person who would do the most heinous thing and it wouldn't bother you, as long as someone in a safety vest told you to do it. It seems like you have no moral or ethical codes.

Please provide a cite for your claim that he was fired. All I'm seeing is that he resigned. CBC host resigns, saying he could not continue 'with integrity' | National Post Travis Dhanraj's CBC resignation letter, email to colleagues | Toronto Sun Dhanraj still employed, CBC says, despite public resignation | Toronto Sun Do you understand the difference between resigning and being fired.....?? I know sometimes children don't understand things but I can explain it to you, if you need me to.

Twenty-two Canadian diplomats were fired last year for fraud, theft, embezzlement, soliciting kickbacks and other wrongdoing. No police were called. No charges were laid. These are people raking in giant salaries with golden parachute pensions with access to massive amounts of taxpayer dollars, who are in a position of PUBLIC TRUST. They should be held MORE accountable than the average person.

It was a misdemeanor. Remember you said this when the other guys are in power and it happens to you.
