Conservatives: "We're voting against this bill because it also contains several unconstitutional power grabs." Liberals: "THE CONSERVATIVES ARE AGAINST FEEDING CHILDREN LUNCH!!!!!!" Conservatives: "The provinces already have lunch programs and most of the tax dollars going to this federal program will just go to bureaucracy." Liberals: "THE CONSERVATIVES WANT CHILDREN TO STARVE!!!!!!" Liberal Supporters: They don't understand about omnibus bills and even if they do, they WANT more government control and reject accountability in government. They especially don't understand omnibus bills when they are 12 years old.

Did you miss the part where this was 6 weeks ago - AFTER the election? Or you just ignore the parts that don't fit your narrative? He's clearly been taken over by the CCP. Or was planted beforehand. Your team can have him. We're glad he's gone. Only Liberals would celebrate a CCP compromised floor-crosser.

Do you think they are going to know not to say "I support Hamas." or "I support ISIS." Do you think they know not to say their opinion is that women should be covered at all times and they agree with honor killings and that violent jihad is justified? Other polls, like the ones from the UK, show the majority of Muslims want Sharia Law and Sharia courts in the UK. Is Sharia Law compatible with Western Law?

Itโs incredible. Nobody stops projects like Canada.โ Trump said Canadaโs real expertise isnโt mining or energy, but obstruction. โThey donโt build,โ he added. โThey consult. They protest. They sue. Then they consult again.โ Analysts note that major Canadian resource projects routinely stall under layers of regulation, Indigenous vetoes, environmental challenges, and activist opposition, often lasting decades with no clear outcome. โIn most countries, approval means go,โ Trump said. โIn Canada, approval means start over.โ Canadian officials responded by defending the countryโs โvalues-based approach,โ while confirming no new projects would be approved as part of that response. Canada is expected to issue a statement reaffirming its position as a global leader in potential. -
I think the biggest problem with Lib supporters is their inability to see the bigger picture on anything. Right now, they're all "Woo-hoo! We got one of your guys! We're winning, you're losing! We're the greatest, you're the losers!" Bigger picture - Canada has a serious CCP problem. We allow Chinese police stations to harass our Chinese diaspora, Chinese fentanyl flows freely from both Vancouver and Toronto ports. They freely interfere with our elections. They own massive amounts of real estate in key cities. We had this problem during the Biden administration, the Biden administration tried to get Canada on board with dealing with it. The Liberal gov't refused. Trump brought it up, same Liberal gov't again refused. Refused to secure our borders. Refused to cooperate on drug cartels. Only us and China retaliated on tariffs. I watched an interview today with Kash Patel and he was giving a rundown of national security issues for the US - he said when he was appointed, one of the Tier One priorities given to him was CCP influence. Trump just made a deal with a bunch of other countries on critical minerals, to combat CCP control of that market. Canada was not invited to be a part of that, in spite of us having massive amounts of critical minerals. I think the US is keeping a very close eye on us. They're invoking the Monroe Doctrine about national sovereignty with Venezuela and they'll do it with Canada, too. I think when we are fully captured by the CCP, which will be soon, the US is getting prepared to take us over, to "save" us from ourselves. They don't want to live next door to the Chinese. And the Liberal party seems determined to make us a province of China.

I already said before that the Cons need to vet their candidates better. You're not exactly being profound ๐ I believe his CTCCO appearance was from Oct, after the election. And the meeting with the Chinese ambassador was only earlier this week..... The Markham riding was rife with CCP influence, which is why I think he was either a plant or Beijing got their claws into him somehow. Either way, he's clearly CCP now and will fit in perfectly with the Liberal caucus. He's all yours now. ๐คฃ Elbows up, for Great Leader, comrade!

This is very true. I remember an interview with Michael Barrett where he said exactly this. Up until about 10 years ago, there were a lot of things about serving in government, serving in Parliament that were basically "gentlemen's agreements". Accepted practice. Assumption that most things did not need "rules", per se, as they were just part of ethical, moral behaviour. This Liberal party, under Justin Trudeau, blew all that out of the water. If there isn't a specific rule, they just do whatever they want, insist they meant no harm "trust me, bro", and when they get caught, declare the whole episode "a learning experience for Canadians". (Not for themselves, though.) It's the only time in history that the Ethics Commissioner of Canda recommended an entire political party go back for ethical training. It's why the Conservatives created an entire new Accountability Act and had it ready and waiting for this last election. To close up the "gentlemen's agreements" and put rules in place. But none of you wanted accountability because orangemanbad.

I've said this repeatedly but I'll say it again - Sam Cooper has been investigating Chinese influence on Canada's real estate, political system, drug cartels, etc for over a decade. He has testified in front of the Canadian Parliament and the US Senate and Congress. He works closely with the FBI in the US. You can check out his website, The Bureau. You can read his book "Willful Blindness". You won't, though.

You have to remember that Liberal supporters also support Canada getting very snuggly with China. As one of them said here the other week, "China is our friend." They really, really believe that. That China is our friend. They support all the China-like policies the Libs are putting in - all the censorship bills, all the centralizing of power in one government. They really believe all this is GOOD. So when you point out that a Liberal politician called for his rival to be kidnapped and shipped to China for punishment - they all supported and defended that when it happened. There is, unfortunately, a slight majority of Canadians who want us to be just like China. It's why they vote Liberal.

I'm kind of at a point where, I hope there's a few more floor crossers over to the Liberals. The last 11 years have been a disaster, imagine 4 more. Let's just get on with the collapse of Canada. Higher and higher spending, higher and higher taxes, strangle all the industry. Give all our money to other countries, cricket factories that produce nothing, satellite companies that have no satellites, and corporations who flee to the US. Let's just do it.
-
Are you saying that when the Libs introduced new, soft-on-crime legislation, they had no clue that crime would increase by lowering the consequences of crime? Again, I dont' really care what the intent was. The results of nearly every Liberal policy have been disastrous for Canada. It's either intent to destroy Canada or utter and complete incompetence. Neither of those scenarios sits well with a lot of us. Odd, how happy you are with utter incompetence. ๐คช And a strong desire to keep the incompetence in power. ๐
-
No, I'm saying results are more important than intent, since intent can only be inferred. "Sorry, I didn't MEAN to kill you" doesn't fly. Intent matters, but results are what we all have to live with. And I seriously doubt their intentions were good when they flood the country with immigrants with zero thought to housing, the economy, healthcare, the educational system, etc. I assume you are arguing that they are just incredibly incompetent. Why would you support utter incompetence just because you, personally, think they "meant well"? How stupid are you? (Rhetorical question, we can all see how stupid you are.)
