  1. So Trudeau DIDN'T listen to anything he said? Is that what you're saying? I mean, c'mon. We all know Justin "Budgets will balance themselves" Trudeau had zero economic ability. That's the whole reason why he hired Carney. And you're saying he had no influence on Trudeau? No one followed his advice? GTFO.
  2. There’s a certain magic trick in politics. Not the fun kind. The kind where your wallet disappears, then reappears lighter, and the guy on stage expects applause. That’s what this “Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit” is. Mark Carney says he’s “putting money back in your pocket.” Let’s translate that into plain English. Government drives up costs through taxes, regulation, and inflation… then sends you a partial refund and expects a thank-you note. That’s not affordability. That’s damage control. The Core Problem They Won’t Admit Canada didn’t wake up one morning with high grocery prices by accident. We built this. Carbon taxes layered onto fuel, transport, and production Supply management that keeps food prices artificially high Regulatory drag that slows competition and raises costs Monetary policy that inflated everything from housing to milk Then comes the punchline: “Here’s $1,900 to help.” That’s like flooding the basement, handing you a mop, and calling it leadership. The Illusion of Help Benefits like this feel good. That’s the point. They’re designed to hit the emotional brain, not the analytical one. Quick cash creates the illusion of relief. But step back and run the numbers: If government policy raises your annual cost of living by $3,000 to $5,000… And they give you $1,900 back… You’re still behind. Worse, now you’re dependent on the system that caused the problem. That’s not a safety net. That’s a feedback loop. The Incentive Problem Here’s the uncomfortable truth most politicians won’t say out loud: If government can fix a problem cheaply, it loses the excuse to control more of your life. So instead, we get complexity. Programs. Rebates. Credits. Transfers. Each one adds a layer. Each layer adds cost. Each cost justifies the next “benefit.” Round and round it goes. Meanwhile, the original problem, high prices, weak productivity, capital flight, stays put. What Real Affordability Looks Like Real affordability doesn’t come from cheques. It comes from removing the choke points: Lower taxes on production and energy Faster approvals to build housing and infrastructure Competitive markets instead of protected ones Stable money that doesn’t quietly erode purchasing power In other words: stop making things expensive in the first place. The Hard Line Carney’s pitch is simple: “We’ll take less from you… after we take too much.” That’s not leadership. That’s a controlled retreat from a problem they helped create. You don’t fix affordability by recycling people’s own money through Ottawa. You fix it by letting them keep it in the first place. Actionable takeaway: Next time you hear “we’re putting money back in your pocket,” ask one question: Why was it taken out in the first place?
  3. On a personal level, I think they see it, they must, it's so basic - if you continually overspend, waste your money and give all your money away, eventually you go bankrupt. For some reason, on a governmental level, they think this doesn't happen and that it's a GOOD thing. I ran my own business and am running a business for someone else now, so this is obvious to me. Have these people never ran a business or budgeted for their own needs? There are basic accounting practices and now this Liberal government wants to deviate from standard, internationally accepted accounting practices. Not one Liberal supporter has any concern about this. The only thing I can think is that these people are just incredibly stoopid and gullible.
  4. Plus, the less than a dollar a day tax cut has already been eaten up - and then some - by higher taxes on everything else and the inflation. And Carney's plan is for carbon taxation to continually increase, year over year. The tax cut LinkSoul thinks is so amazing, in reality, has benefited no one, will benefit no one, fueled inflation and is now a $14 billion debt our grandchildren will bear.
  5. He's been directing economic policy in Canada for 6 years now. The immigration levels, the carbon taxes, the spending, the stifling of industry, giving all our money away to Ukraine and tranny bean farmer in the Congo - all him. How's it going? Article from 2020. Mark Carney helping Justin Trudeau craft economic recovery plan to pull Canada out of recession | Financial Post The fact that the Carney Liberals are going to continue to fight for their ability to declare the Emergency Act any time they feel like it - all the way to the Supreme Court and disregarding the ruling of 4 other Justices - is evidence that this is not a "new government". It's the same one. Carney was the one advising Trudeau to invoke the Act and to freeze bank accounts. He wants that power. Desperately.
  6. It's disgusting they way they've laughed all the way through the middle class being decimated in Canada. Thy haven't figured out yet - they're the only ones with money and assets left and the Liberal party wants it. They're next on the food chain. "Elbows Up" as an economic strategy - simply genius. 🙄
  7. LOL It's what you do here. Every. Single. Day. You justify everything the Liberal party has done and is doing. You support it all. Yes. I think children should be protected from predators. You think people should be protected from internet memes. "Psychoanalyzing" I can only go by what you guys vote for - letting child rapists go free, higher taxes, higher carbon taxes, no accountability for the Liberal government, higher & higher immigration levels, no industry in Canada. If you didn't "like" it, you wouldn't vote for it. Yes, yes. Everything happening in Canada is just soooooooo hilarious to you. Laugh it up until we're all in the poor house. And your children. And your grandchildren. It's just so, so funny to you, isn't it? In case you haven't noticed - it's only you Liberal supporters laughing about Canada right now.
  8. At the very least - even if they don't "like" it, they're totally fine with child rapists being let out onto the streets. It's a non-issue, they don't care about it. Children's safety from predators doesn't even hit their radar. Where to me - that should be the Justice Minister's main concern - the safety of all Canadians. But his main concern is censorship bills. And apparently it is to you too. You voted for censorship bills over the safety of children. Pretty sick, IMO. You can keep trying to justify it here all you want. I will never agree with you that censorship comes first and protecting children from predators comes dead last.
  9. This is the typical Liberal behaviour that just......astounds me. They think child rapists being released back onto the streets is hilarious. This is just absolutely 100% sick and psychopathic. Our children are in danger and you're laughing about it.
  10. No, I don't wonder. I'm aware of what happens when a government funds a country's media. Media being weaponized by government has happened all throughout history. The results are always the same. The media tells you that you must have to have compassion and understanding for child rapists and release them as soon as possible......and you fall for it. Every fuquing time. And you vote for it. Every fuqing time.
  11. Sorry, but you don't get to claim you give a sh!t about the safety of children and then support legislation that allows child rapists to go free and continue voting for the party that created that legislation, enacted it and has repeatedly ignored pleas to change it. You just don't. You either support keep child rapists in jail and vote for that, or you support letting them go free and vote for that. There is no middle ground here. And we all know which you voted for. You've told us repeatedly - the Liberal Party is your choice. You think they're doing a great job and so you support them in everything.
  12. Of course you do. It's why you support the legislation. You think you're a better person because you consider the troubled past of a child rapist and let him go free. "IF"? See, right there. You support the law that lets them go free. You can't even admit it's a bad law. And police, normal people, justices, a lot of people have been screaming from the rooftops FOR YEARS that this law needs to change. Liberals have refused. And you support them in that. And you're not even sure it is a problem. Yes, yes. The solution - to you - is let them all go free.
  13. Scientists can be bought just as easily as politicians. It's why the first place I go on any study is the Conflicts of Interest at the end. Who is paying for this study?
  14. No. They want rapists and pedos out on the streets. Just like you do. That's why you vote for the party that makes policies to release them on to the streets. This has always been a major deal-breaker policy for me. I am unable to wrap my head around why you guys feel the opposite and continue to vote for rapists and pedos to go free.
  15. I told you. Liberal supporters love rapists and pedos out on the streets. They're very open about it. They keep voting for it. They believe it shows their great "compassion" for criminals. It's virtue-signaling. They really believe they are better than you because they believe, very strongly, that rapists and pedos should be released and let free. Normal people have compassion for the children who are victims. Liberal supporters have a very, very sick and psychopathic mindset. You will never convince them that rapists and pedos should be in jail. Never. It's why they downvote and argue about it.
  16. Ya, we know. You get your boomer slop from CBC 🤣
  17. I wouldn't believe it because I know that figure came from a Liberal Party paid-for report. I'm going to go with multiple economists who say it does. Also, it's just common sense - tax everything upstream of the food supply and it increases food prices. You're a Liberal. You vote for sending money to transgender bean farmers in the Congo, while 25% of our own people can't afford to eat. You vote for rapists and pedos to be out on the street. You hold the Liberal government accountable for nothing. Poor and vulnerable people don't even make it onto your radar.
  18. To recap: In the last week, the US has thwarted 2 mass shootings at Canadian schools sent USAF fighter planes to escort 2 flights bound for Montreal, due to security concerns DOJ seized Iranian intelligence websites, revealing they had a $250,000 bounty on Goldie Ghamari, to have her literally beheaded at her Ottawa home. Ghamari is a former Ontario politician, fired by Doug Ford in 2024 for being "Islamophobic" because she was warning about the presence of IRGC in Canada. Three instances where, if it weren't for Canada's mortal enemy (according to Carney and Lib supporters) averted potential tragedy in Canada.
  19. I doubt you are capable of understanding how or even of assimilating any information other than what is already in your brain, but basically - the tax exerts influence upstream of the supply chain and is passed down to consumers at the grocery store. It affects mainly poor people and vulnerable communities, so who gives a sh!t, amiright?
  20. Net zero is dead. Why is Mark Carney still pushing it? | Financial Post Now we have a new prime minister who is trying to appear less committed to the net-zero mission. But the transformation of the UN Secretary General’s “special envoy on climate action and finance” has been less than biblical. True, one of his first actions on taking power was to remove the despised consumer carbon tax. But that was largely sleight-of-hand, moving the tax out of public view onto beleaguered businesses already struggling with Trump tariffs. Net-zero fatigued Canadians should be asking their prime minister, “Why are you weakening our already struggling economy with carbon taxes and wasting taxpayer money subsidizing wind farms when it will make no perceptible difference to the global climate?” He owes them an answer.
