Likely the ultimate goal here. Poilievre did a great job of explaining the role of the Opposition, when he was on Rogan. His is accountable TO THE PEOPLE of Canada, to hold the ruling government to account. But the Liberal party has convinced a slight majority of Canadians that the Opposition is unnecessary and holding the government to account is not just wrong, it's EVIL. It's why their main beef with Poilievre is that he picks the government apart and holds them to account. They DO NOT want that happening. Liberal supporters HATE this with a passion - you see it every day here. It drives them MAD with rage when the faults of the Liberal party are brought to light. If they can't argue the facts, they belittle the source. Liberal supporters WANT no Opposition party. They WANT a one-party system and that MUST be the Liberal party. They WANT a government-funded propaganda mouthpiece. They worship everything the CBC says. It's been said before - "Be careful what you wish for." BINGO.

Yup. You got your way. Pedos and rapists out on the streets. Congrats, I guess. -
They belittle YouTube, but most world governments have YouTube channels that are dedicated to committee meetings and investigative hearings. It's a great place to watch them - no ads, no interruptions. CPAC has a dedicated channel. By belittling YouTube, they can dismiss any information from every committee. But the CBC reigns supreme! 🤣

Carney has also asked the Supreme Court and Senate to do away with the notwithstanding clause, which was an integral part of the provinces ratifying the Charter. This means he can institute any kind of law that would apply across Canada and provinces would have no say. He is planning something. Something that gives him ultimate control. The censorship bills silence citizens. Getting rid of the notwithstanding clause will silence provinces. He's not doing all this for no reason. It's been the highest priority for him since he got in.

After everything that's come out about the CBC, it's amusing he thinks he's getting "facts" there. 🤣 -
Trump may have just taken that away from them.

It doesn't matter what they think. They vote for the opposite. -
He was renowned enough - at the time - that the Canadian government asked him to look into the mRNA shots. U of Guelph officials created fake Twitter and website profiles to discredit him thereafter. So, no surprise that you only find criticism of him now. As you said, you never heard of him before. I've been following his career since before covid. Your opinion now, after he's been viciously attacked, means zippo to me.

Your reading comprehension is very.......poor. We are all aware that you are a Carney super-fan. -

I am, actually. Liberal supporters, which make up slightly more than half of Canadians, do not think like me. At all. They support legislation that lets child rapists loose on the streets. It doesn't even hit their radar. They do not care. I cannot. As I said, letting rapists and pedos go free is a deal-breaker for me. The Liberal party introduced the legislation and have fought like hell to keep it in place. They deeply believe in letting pedos go free. It's a moral/ethical thing for me. Obviously not for you. -
A Pfizer whistleblower. Which I know, you are against whistleblowers and their testimony counts for less than zero to you. Pfizer gives kickbacks to individual US government people and governments around the world, so it stands to reason that our government also took money from them. I realize you will likely believe we have the only world government who didn't take money from Pfizer, because you believe very strongly that the Liberal government is totally honest and not able to be corrupted in any way whatsoever. 🙄 You have excused, justified, denied and belittled any Liberal party corruption, so I don't really give a flying fig what you have to say about much of anything. You're willfully blind and ignorant. It doesn't matter what the Libs do, you'll support it and vote it in.
-
You have more faith in Canadians than I do, then. I'm sure the Libs will again come up with some new boogeyman to scare the gullible, depends-wearing crowd. They could even recycle "The Americans have tanks at our borders!" thing again, I mean - most of the Liberal supporters on this forum are STILL pooping their pants over that. There's no money left in the middle class - Liberal Party needs that boomer money & assets to keep the spending spree going. No way they're giving that up.
-
I disagree. Liberal supporters will need to double down to justify them electing these exact same incompetent people - 4 times. They don't give a sh!t about the economy. They don't give a sh!t about policy. They'd rather see Canada burn down than admit they were wrong. Look at all you Liberal supporters here. Every damn day. Supporting, justifying, excusing, denying.

No. I never once said he was in control. I said he advised and Trudeau followed. I know this because he's currently doing all the things he advised Trudeau to do AND what he did in the UK - high tax, high spending, print money, grab control, crack down on citizens, unlimited expense accounts with no accountability for tax dollars, institute Net Zero policies and "investments", stifle all industry in the name of the green god. You're the one saying Trudeau didn't listen to him. The Trudeau Liberals were well on the way to destroying Canada and all your vote did was hand the keys over to the Carney Liberals, which consist of all the Trudeau Liberals minus Trudeau, to "Finish it."
-
That's a lot of twisting and turning to try and convince yourself that Carney, as Trudeau's special advisor on the economy since 2020, had no influence over Trudeau. Especially in light of the fact that he's still implementing the same types of policies and economic practices that Trudeau was. Yet, you claim Trudeau wasn't listening to him back then. Do another back flip! So entertaining watching you guys twist yourself into pretzels to distance Carney from Trudeau. 🤪

International student program blasted by Canada’s auditor Between 2023 and 2024, more than 153,000 post-secondary international students were identified as potentially non-compliant with study permit conditions, but officials had funding to probe only 2,000 cases annually...... The department began 4,057 investigations, but 41 per cent of these cases could not be closed because of a lack of response from students. The government audit also examined the status of the 549,000 people whose study permits expired in 2024 and found that 93 per cent of people were allowed to remain in Canada. It also did not pursue 800 cases involving fraudulent documentation discovered after permits were approved." Feds Cost Thousands Of Jobs | Blacklock's Reporter Liberal supporters: "Let's elect these people in again!! They really know what they're doing!" 🤪

Carney is the inventor of Net Zero and you're saying Trudeau didn't listen to him? The billions of $$ poured into batteries that benefitted Brookfield that all went belly up? Carney had no hand in that? Carney wrote an op-ed saying Trudeau should invoke the Emergency Act and freeze bank accounts and de-bank Canadian citizens. Trudeau didn't listen to that advice? Trudeau outspent every other PM in Canada's history, ALL UT TOGETHER and Carney is currently blowing that overspending out of the water. But you think Trudeau wasn't listening to him? Why do you think Trudeau would hire him on to advice him on everything economy and then not listen to anything the guy said? Too bad we banned straws, you're really grasping for one here.

U of Guelph was home of Dr. Byram Bridle, PhD in immunology, Professor of Viral Immunology with a focus researching immune responses to viruses, particularly in vaccine development and cancer research. He was Canada's #1 cancer researcher. The Canadian government charged him with investigating the mRNA jabs before they were rolled out. He came back with a less than favourable review and was promptly blacklisted and his research halted and was banned from being on campus. Officials at the U of Guelph then created fake websites and Twitter profiles of Dr. Bridle and slandered him through those. I posted about all this at the time. It probably didn't help that according to a Pfizer whistleblower, top Canadian politicians received about $11 million in kickbacks from Pfizer. But, ya, U of Guelph - what a bunch of woke clowns.
-
So Trudeau DIDN'T listen to anything he said? Is that what you're saying? I mean, c'mon. We all know Justin "Budgets will balance themselves" Trudeau had zero economic ability. That's the whole reason why he hired Carney. And you're saying he had no influence on Trudeau? No one followed his advice? GTFO.

There’s a certain magic trick in politics. Not the fun kind. The kind where your wallet disappears, then reappears lighter, and the guy on stage expects applause. That’s what this “Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit” is. Mark Carney says he’s “putting money back in your pocket.” Let’s translate that into plain English. Government drives up costs through taxes, regulation, and inflation… then sends you a partial refund and expects a thank-you note. That’s not affordability. That’s damage control. The Core Problem They Won’t Admit Canada didn’t wake up one morning with high grocery prices by accident. We built this. Carbon taxes layered onto fuel, transport, and production Supply management that keeps food prices artificially high Regulatory drag that slows competition and raises costs Monetary policy that inflated everything from housing to milk Then comes the punchline: “Here’s $1,900 to help.” That’s like flooding the basement, handing you a mop, and calling it leadership. The Illusion of Help Benefits like this feel good. That’s the point. They’re designed to hit the emotional brain, not the analytical one. Quick cash creates the illusion of relief. But step back and run the numbers: If government policy raises your annual cost of living by $3,000 to $5,000… And they give you $1,900 back… You’re still behind. Worse, now you’re dependent on the system that caused the problem. That’s not a safety net. That’s a feedback loop. The Incentive Problem Here’s the uncomfortable truth most politicians won’t say out loud: If government can fix a problem cheaply, it loses the excuse to control more of your life. So instead, we get complexity. Programs. Rebates. Credits. Transfers. Each one adds a layer. Each layer adds cost. Each cost justifies the next “benefit.” Round and round it goes. Meanwhile, the original problem, high prices, weak productivity, capital flight, stays put. What Real Affordability Looks Like Real affordability doesn’t come from cheques. It comes from removing the choke points: Lower taxes on production and energy Faster approvals to build housing and infrastructure Competitive markets instead of protected ones Stable money that doesn’t quietly erode purchasing power In other words: stop making things expensive in the first place. The Hard Line Carney’s pitch is simple: “We’ll take less from you… after we take too much.” That’s not leadership. That’s a controlled retreat from a problem they helped create. You don’t fix affordability by recycling people’s own money through Ottawa. You fix it by letting them keep it in the first place. Actionable takeaway: Next time you hear “we’re putting money back in your pocket,” ask one question: Why was it taken out in the first place?

On a personal level, I think they see it, they must, it's so basic - if you continually overspend, waste your money and give all your money away, eventually you go bankrupt. For some reason, on a governmental level, they think this doesn't happen and that it's a GOOD thing. I ran my own business and am running a business for someone else now, so this is obvious to me. Have these people never ran a business or budgeted for their own needs? There are basic accounting practices and now this Liberal government wants to deviate from standard, internationally accepted accounting practices. Not one Liberal supporter has any concern about this. The only thing I can think is that these people are just incredibly stoopid and gullible.
